3rd/4th Years [2.14.09]
It was Valentines Day. There was love all around for the pre-pubescent teens, and Ginny could do nothing but feel horribly sorry for them. And laugh inwardly. Because honestly, she had lived through it herself. Why shouldn’t they experience some sort of pain as well? It was just life. Ginny’s first relationship issues started in her third year with Michael Corner, so some of the 3rd and 4th years in her upcoming class would probably be having a few difficulties themselves. Especially on the most “beloved” holiday of the year. Valentines Day.
Ginny sat at her desk, leaning back in a relaxed manner. She had survived her classes thus far. Her conversation with Cole McCade established that she didn’t like what she did, but that was okay. As long as she didn’t get eaten alive. The distraction of Valentines Day probably wouldn’t help her convey her point, but she was slowly resigning to the fact that 1) students were bored in her class, and 2) she wasn’t a born teacher. She liked to write. For the Daily Prophet. A job that she had been “kindly” removed from unfairly. Life just sucked, didn’t it?
The bell rang to start passing period after the first period, which Ginny was thankfully free, and the scuffles of feet erupted from outside. The door to her classroom opened, and students started to file in. Ginny watched them in an almost bored manner. Coming to Hogwarts to teach had been a very, very bad idea. She was a literal failure. At least not on as grand of a scope as Lockheart had been, but like anyone wanted to compare themselves to him.
As the majority of the class sat down, Ginny waved her wand at the board, and the chalk jumped into action, writing “Wizard Council’s Fight on Quidditch - 1350" in loopy neat writing. Hopefully the Quidditch tone would strike a key of interest in her students, but if not, well, she was already looking into early retirement, so nothing could really damage her hopes and dreams.
