A Slytherin sketching
Their were many things to do in your seventh year of Hogwarts. There were N.E.W.T.s to study for. Job decisions to make. And for the Head Girl there were halls to patrol and students to watch. But for some reason Julie was doing none of these things. Instead she was sitting on a limb in a tree that over looked the lake. She had balanced a sketch pad on her lap and was sketching a couple that were walking around the lake holding hands.
Sighing she tried to get their faces just right, but it was hard to capture such adoration in their faces, especially when her kitten, Daphne, was crawling on her leg. Sighing she closed her sketchbook and set it down on a flat part of the branch before picking up the snowy white kitten.
“You are cute, but your in the way right now.” She cooed to the cat. She then charmed a leaf to blow around on its own and set the kitten down to play. Reopening her sketch book she tried to finish her sketch only to find that the couple had walked off. “Great,” she sighed. Flipping to a new page she tried to find a new subject for her artistic hand to capture. But no one else seemed to be around. And if they were they weren’t out into the open.
Julie was in Slytherin, but that always gave off the wrong impression to everyone. Once sorted into that house it was assumed that you were a horrible person. It couldn’t just be that you were just sly and cunning. Her appearance was nothing to throw people off. Julie had a kind look about her, a sweet face with wide brown eyes, framed by her wavy brown hair. But she was a nice girl with great ambitions.
When she saw nothing of interest to sketch she leaned against the trunk and shut her eyes. ‘I should probably go patrol the hall of something’ she thought to herself. Even with this thought she stayed balanced on the tree branch, relaxing.

A breeze whipped Logan in the face as he walked the edge of the Lake. He was really supposed to be doing homework. True, he was probably going to get a bad grade, but he needed time. He needed to clear his head about something.
As he continued his walk, he stopped abruptly, for he saw a girl in the trees. "Oy!" he called. "What're you doing up there?"

Slightly startled, Julie momentarily lost her balance and almost fell from the branch, but caught herself at the last second. At moments like this, Julie found it best to laugh it off, so thats what she did. After her fit of laughter finished, she looked down and saw a younger student beneath her.
"Just hanging around," Julie said not being able to resist the corny joke. "Um just taking a break, I guess. Up a tree is the last place to look huh?" She said looking down at the boy. "What about you, what are you doing out here?" Julie asked.

Logan shrugged. "I dunno. Just clearing my head, I guess." Logan had so many things on his mind. "Sometimes walks help me sort through things, you know?"

"Yea I know. Its like sketching for me." she said holding up her closed sketch book. "What do you have on your mind? Nothing like talking to someone older than you to help you to figure something out." Julie said.

Logan blushed. This was not what he had been expecting, but maybe talking to someone would help him figure it out. "There's a girl in my House that I want to ask out," he said. "I don't know if I can work up the nerve, though."
