A Visit
"There's just no point, Joseph. But as you wish. I'll leave you two alone."
"Thank you, Maggie," came the headmaster's voice.

Professor Witchard was at the hospital. He now stood in a single bedroom. Laying on the bed was a woman with chestnut hair and beautiful green eyes.

Joseph took a seat next to the bed, taking the woman's hand. He knew she would never get better. Knew that there was no hope. Yet he woud not let go.

He looked at the wedding band on his left hand; the one he had never removed after the incident. He sighed as he looked at her sadly.
