A brief message of hope
The recent events have put alot of us in the mindsets of confusion, pain, hatred, sorrow, and anguish. Even though I do not hail from the United States of America, I felt that the moment I swore my allegiance to the United States and the Constitution under which it was written that I became an American. What has happened within the past 72 hours will echo in the halls of this country's history as well as in our hearts. As the death toll rises and the animosity towards those that exist outside the realm of civilized thought and action, we must not forget those who have passed into a much better world. As I ponder the loss of all of the lives one passage from the Bible comes to mind, specifically Psalms 30:5. I know not all of you subscribe to the Judeo-Christian Belief System, but please bear with me; "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." What we have all experienced wether it be on our televisions, our own homes, or from a far, it will forever change us. I ask that all of you, be you Christian, Pagan, Jewish, Hindu, Moslem, Islamic, or Atheist, the say whatever prayer come to your mind and to keep the names and faces of all of those taken by such ferocity in your hearts. Do whatever you can to help...if it is giving blood, money, supplies, or just a simple thought, please do it. I suggest that tomorrow evening at 11:30pm the entire Community of Los Angeles and wherever this message may reach give a moment of silence and extinguish all light except that from a candle for those lost within the past few days. Thank you for you time.
