We have added a few things to the requirements to power and ability upgrades. Be sure and read the details in the most recent update when you request a new power / upgrade.
Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.

All new everything
Outside the Auditorium and near the entrance to the school that was Manga High School, a small rental car drove up and around. It parked in the sunny hot parking lot that was lit up by the cloudless sky above it. There was a slight breeze moving along in the air and it kept things cool enough for a comfortable atmosphere. Out from the car rose three people. The first one, from out of the driver's seat was a young man. He looked to be in about his mid-twenty and was wearing a pair of jeans, a black T-shirt and some black tennis shoes and shades. On the passenger side was a woman that was very close in age to the man. She was shorter than he was and wore a yellow shirt with a black skirt, giving her a cute and stunning bumble bee look. On her head was a matching hat that completed that seemingly out of place outfit.
Finally, from out of the backseat came out a younger girl at the age of fourteen. She had beautiful silver hair and in it, two large dark purple ribbons sat on each side of her head. She wore a matching purple dress with silver lining and came down to the lower parts of her knees. On her feet were cute and almost immature looking black sandals that gave her a younger appearance. In her hands was a small duffle bag of clothes and necessity. The girl never really had much and so packing light was too simple. The girl had a confused expression on her face, which made sense considering the situation she was in. This place was the first of alot of things. It would be her first school, her first time alone and her first time not having her parents to guide her. She would have to think on her own and without anyone's help. It was going to be hard for her.
The man turned to the girl smiling. "Alright Nyoko, we're here. Remember, speak English and if you need help, don't be afraid to ask. I'm sure there are plenty of helpful people in America." He said optimistic. With that, he said his good-byes, followed by the woman's tearful good-bye to their adopted daughter. "If you ever need us, call, okay hun?" She said as she got back into the car. Their flight back home would be leaving any minute and they couldn't stay for very long. With a silent wave, Nyoko watched as her parents drove off, leaving stranded in a place she knew absolutely nothing about at all. The only thing she could identify here was herself. She needed a guide, a teacher or peer to help her out on her new start in a totally new place.

Silent her arrival, gentle rustle of her dress when she moved. How long had Amber been there, standing at the doors and watching as an unfamiliar soul departs from her family; hard to tell. Bittersweet, Amber thought sadly to herself, that is what she was trying to place. A foreign girl in a foreign place; she wondered if that was how her sister felt like when she arrived in LA to be with her and her mother so many years ago.
Amber said nothing at first, stepping cautiously into sight as not to frighten the girl. If the girl would turn to look at her, she would first notice a girl with a black dress reaching down to her thighs, trimmed with white, delicate lace and ruffles. Black ribbons braided into her copper blond hair and there would be a golden key around her neck. her leggings were black and there would be black mary-jane heels trimmed with white lace on her feet. She carried a parasol of black flowery lace, open and resting on her shoulder. The gothic lolita style, ribbons, lace and all.
Now came the bigger question...would she be afraid of the small, pristine-white wings on her back? Amber took a breath and a calm smile crossed her face. Good luck, she told herself.

Just as it seemed that Nyoko was alone and by herself, an all new face and person had appeared in front of her and was speaking. Nyoko was a girl with very little contact with people other than her mother and father. With only a year and a half experience, meeting new people was a process that was still new to her. It fact, aside from her mother and father, this girl would soon be the first person that Nyoko would attempt to talk and react to. Before, she just let her parents say what was needed because Nyoko had no idea what to do, but now, she was on her on and she needed to try.
Her father told her that if she needed help just ask and so, she needed to learn to talk to people if she wanted to get help when she needed it. Looking at the girl and her features, everything was different, her dark colors and accessories were things that Nyoko had only seen the very few times that she had glanced at a television. She was expecting everything to be new and seeing this, she wasn't all too shocked about it. Nyoko also noticed her little wings and because she did not know any better, she didn't find them weird at all. She took them for what they were and moved on as she looked at the girl.
The whole time, her expression was still confused. She wasn’t perplexed by the girl's appearance, but by what she said. Ever since Nyoko could remember, which wasn't long, greetings started with a "hi" or "hello." But know, it started with a compliment and she had no idea on how to respond. Was she supposed to say hi, or wave, or compliment her back? It was confusing and weird and she suddenly felt uncomfortable with her lack of common knowledge. There was no one to lead her and she was scared to go on by herself. Making a more withdrawn motion, Nyoko looked at the girl, a more nervous look on her face. "You....are pretty...too..." She said in choppy English, trying to remember the word she was taught.

Amber tilted her head slightly, a blank expression crossed her face seeing a look of confusion on the girl's face. Though her facial expression did not show it, she was a little worried; still a little nervous even when speaking the young (or seemingly younger) ones. Clearly, the young girl was foreign, but her English was easy to understand. It was a start, Amber thought with an internal sigh of relief. No long stares at the (cursed) wings on her back or anything related. Since she had been at MHS, her phobia had been clearing up with each passing day.
"Thank you very much," she bowed her head a little in the Japanese manner. She closed the black lace parasol, she sometimes forget that she wasn't holding her sword.
"I'm Amber, what's your name?"
She spoke slow and gentle, the same way she had spoken her friend-turn-sister. Hopefully it would suffice for now.

Nyoko watched the girl carefully after she had spoken. She was worried if what she had said was the right thing to say. Her parents had told her to be careful with what she said around people she didn't know. Without knowing it, she might say something offense or rude and with an all new culture like she was in now, she had no idea how to react to mostly everything. But then, as the girl thanked Nyoko for her compliment, a slight smile grew on her face. Seeing her bow, Nyoko remembered it from her home and smiled more, more happy to see something familiar than to see her showing respect for her culture.
"You're we-welcome..." She replied, almost messing up her English as her uneasiness seemed to die down a small bit. And then, as to clear up the confusion on rightful introductions, the girl had told Nyoko her name. It was Amber, a word she had never heard before and so she now knew to identify it with this girl. She blinked a bit, slowly translating the rest of the English. "Nyoko..." She answered her, saying her name. Nyoko liked her name that her parents gave her. It meant Gem and it meant that she was very loved and precious to them. It made her feel better about not being about to remember her past and she felt like she belonged somewhere.
Now, in Nyoko's mind, questions of what she was supposed to do were popping up. Sure, she had met some one, but what about the school. She didn't know what she was supposed to do here aside from learning. She needed some one to take care of her because of her lack of ability to do it herself. And then, her father's words came to her again and so, she went by them. "What do I do now?" She asked the girl, her English amazingly good now all of a sudden.

"New friend Amby?" Darrien said from a darkened corner of the auditorium. He was wearing a sleek casual khaki suit, black belt and shoes, lime green shirt with a white tie loosened around his neck, black slip on dress shoes, and a sleek pair of green lensed sunglasses rested below the wildly tossed about multicolored hair that stood tall on his head.
Taking a few steps closer, he got a better look at the girl he had yet to see. "Lovely dress you're wearing miss?" he left the end open hoping to learn her name. Without waiting for a reply, he glided swiftly next to Amber and tossed an arm around her shoulders, careful to avoid the wings. "I'm just running into you all over the place Amby." he said with a wink.

Amber was a little startled; the girl's English was actually quite good! A moment ago she was sure that the girl did not know that much English. The winged girl caught her own expression of surprise and instead replaced it quickly with a smile. It would be much easier to comunicate; she didn't know much in the way of other languages, including Japanese.
"Nyoko's a cute name." Amber glanced over towards the main building. Being that Nyoko had just arrived, first thing was first.
"Well, now you should head over there to the main office, and then you can sign up for a dorm room-"
"New friend Amby?"
Darrien, his voice registered before his person (and how odd his clothes were today, she noticed). Amber glanced over at Nyoko and then back to Darrien, who now had his arm around her shoulder. Usually, touch was a fickle thing with Amber but she had nothing to fear from him. Had it been another...
"She's a new one," she said so cheerfully, "Nyoko just got here, literally a few minutes ago."

Standing quietly and not realizing her own suddenly mastery of the English language for that one sentence, Nyoko blinked and looked at the girl in front of her. Hearing that her name was cute, Nyoko smiled a bit more, glad that some one else felt the same way about her name like she did. She was feeling better and better slowly, though she was still confused on all the things that were going on. Her mind was busy wondering how she was going to live without her parents and how'd take care of her.
She knew she needed help to learn how to care for herself but a step into a high school was too much for her. Listening to the girl, she got most of what she was saying. Nyoko's English was only a small bit weaker than her Japanese and even if she had spoken in Japanese, those words would have been completely new. "Main off-ice? Dorm room?" She asked repeating the words she didn't know.
There were other, but they didn't seem as important as the words she repeated. Then, suddenly warping into Nyoko's attention, another person, a guy, had happened with the girl. He spoke to the girl, saying a lot of things that she didn’t understand at all. It was like listening to her parents talk. Hearing a mixture between understandable and non-understandable words was confusing for Nyoko. Looking at them, her head tilted to the side a bit. "Hi....?" She asked more then she greeted him, making sure her introduction was right.

Nyoko is silver and Amber is copper. And to complete the set: Genevieve is gold. All gold. Her eyes are gold and her hair is gold, implausibly bright. Her skin is milk-pale; clean-white. However, her pleated skirt is black; her jacket is charcoal gray, and fits her well; her knee-socks are gray, too, and her shoes are black. Around her wrist she has a satchel, it hangs from a loop, and she couldn't be older than fifteen years old.
And there was copper Amber at the kerb. And there was Darrien with (his arm around!) Amber. And there was a new girl, silver.
Now, V is shy. Big secret. Nobody suspects. She doesn't act shy. She just acts reserved. Cool. Cautious. Distant. Distanced. Usually. But now, she pauses, briefly; adjusts the weight of the bag at her wrist. Tucks a loose strand of gold hair behind one ear.
The new girl looks timid. "New student?" V says, as she joins the group, and that could be to anybody : Darrien, Amber or Nyoko.

Hearing the feeble voice say hi perked up Darrien's ears a bit. Taking in more of her features now he deduced that she too must be a freshman, and that meant they'd potentially have classes together, so getting to know her was probably a good idea. Lifting his arm from around Amber's shoulders, he lightly swept his hand down her wing in a petting motion. A sly wink and a cute grin later, his focuz turned entirely to Nyoko.
Taking her chin in the palm of his hand gently he said "Nyoko eh? Youve have very pretty eyes to go with your pretty name." he said staring into the orbs he refered to. He then noticed the other girl enter out of the corner of his eye. Never breaking his gaze on Nyoko, he made a quick wave to V. Three girls with hair the colors of precious metals, and Darrien, with hair the color of a box of crayons, this could turn out to be quite an entertaining encounter for the young man.

Re: All new everythingApproaching the School was a young girl who stood at 5'6. In her hand was a printed piece of paper. She hadn't been walking for too long, she'd gotten out of a tax two blocks down. Once she was near the school entrance she stopped, the sound from her black sandals ceased. She looked up reading the name of the school. She then nodded her confirmation, the blue ribbons in her black hair fluttered slighty. Her dark pink lips curved into a smile as she continued to walk before noticing a group of people standing at the entrance.
She didn't want to interupt their conversation so she chose to wave as she walked up the steps, looking to each of them with a warm smile. Her long black coat trailed behind her with each step. The black backpack she had strapped over her shoulders seemed to bob up and down,a water bottle could be seen on the right side. She was thankful for the warm weather that was upon them, she preffered to wear dresses like the black mini skirt she was currently wearing.
With the printed paper in her right hand she looked over the sheet. She reached into a pocket on her left side and pulled out her glasses. Slipping them on and adjsting them she paused once more to read the sheet, since it was her first time she wanted to make a good impression and show she came prepared. Amber watched with some concern; hopefully Darrien wouldn't scare Nyoko with his gesture. She would be the one to speak to V, a smile crossing her face for the first time in what felt like weeks. With both Darrien and V in the same area, she was much more relaxed (even her wings perked up) and cheerful than usual.
"Yes, she just got here. We should get her to the main office so that she can get situated."
Movement over V's shoulder caught her eye; another unfamiliar student. This young lady was carrying a peice of paper, a telling sign of a new student. Amber couldn't tell her heritage, but she had to admit her caramel skin looked quite pretty. Amber shot the girl a friendly smile that said .
"Many new students..." She spoke now to V, "It'll be interesting, ne?"

Nyoko stood silently as even more new people appeared before her. They were all different shapes and sizes and all wearing things she had never seen before. It was a waterfall of new experiences and she had only been here for a few short minutes. Was this what school was like? Was this how her life was going to be from now on? It was weird. With her parents, she felt so comfortable and she felt like she belonged. Here, the only thing she felt was confusion and a lack of understanding.
Nothing made sense and everything was there as if it was supposed to. The introductions were different, the people were different and even the scenery was different. It was all a bit much for Nyoko, but her love to learn helped her to not overreact. Then, hearing the gold haired girl's question, Nyoko wasn't sure how to respond. Everyone had been calling her this weird word call student and she didn't know what it meant. She was Nyoko, plain and simple. "Umm... M-my name is Nyoko, n-not student." She said speaking her choppy English again.
Just as she finished speaking, the guy that was with Amber was now in front of her, holding her chin and talking to her. Blinking, she understood most of the words that he said and enough of them to make sense out of what he was saying. "What's a main office?" She asked him, his comment from before not registering in her head as a compliment. She just took it for gibberish and asked what she needed to know.
Re: All new everythingWasn't quite the response I was looking for, but I guess I'll wrk with what I've got here. Darrien thought. He was too preoccupied with the little pretty girl here to see another walk by, but it wasn't surprising to him that students began arriving. Classes would begin in a few weeks, and this was a school (no matter how little edjucating actually goes on), so it made sense that more kids would be turning up.
"Amby and miss V will have to lead on to the main office, I myself have yet to venture there." he said, releasing the girls chin and winking. Taking an overdramatic turn, Darrien was now facing Amber and V. "I'm sure they'd be more than happy to provide a little tour ya?" he asked in a way only he could.

Darrien is dashing charm and flamboyance itself when he steps in and stands over Nyko, staring into the cute silver haired student's eyes ; V nods slightly in response to his wave, although he doesn't see the gesture.
"Don't scare her, Darrien," V says, and her voice is quiet : she's so self-contained and assured. To Nyoko, "My name is V. What's your first language?" She speaks slowly, head tilted in an attitude of attention.
Amber gets an almost smile from the serious teenager. Then a slight nod (flamboyance certainly isn't her middle name). "Hopefully, they'll have her room ready."
And then Genevieve glances over her shoulder, following the winged girl's gaze.
Re: All new everythingShe turned her head and noticed a pretty girl with golden hair smiling her way. She smiled back before heading towards the door. She was headed for the main office. Once she opened the door and stepped through she heard someone mention a tour and the main offic.
'Guess I'll see them when I get there.' she thought to herself. She then began walking down the hall. Her steps were slow and she was caught up in taking in the look of the school. Chances are the group would probably catch up to her before she even made it to the Main office.

Amber made a small curtsy at Darrien before looking off towards the distance. The main office was a recognizable place on campus, easy to find but there would always be younger students that could get lost.
"Just follow us okay Nyoko? We head straight to that building and get you registered."
The half-angel would not mind leading; the other girl she had seen over V's shoulder had already gone ahead. She was sure they would meet there. A part of her wished that she had been able to meet her parents at least, Nyoko was quite a strange girl...
"The main office is where you can go to be listed as a student. You can also get a dorm room there, so you have a place to sleep. if you're not able to right away, you can stay with one of us."
Re: All new everythingAs she walked the main office came into her view. Her lips curved into a smile, all her preparations were starting to pay off. At first her steps became faster, heading into a power walk. As she came closer her steps began to slow down, it was as if she subconsiously slowed down in hopes of meeting the people she saw at the entrance. She would eventually stop infront of the office door. Questions came into her mind such as 'what was the principal like?' 'Oh no, am I late?'
The last question made her uneasy, she hoped she wasn't late but she was ready to accept such punishment if she was. On her way to the school she had become side tracked, feeling the need to test her powers on a crippling tree. She sighed and shook her head, her bangs moving across her glasses. She then turned her head to the right looking behind her, there wasn't any sound to indicate that need, rather she looked behinder hoping she'd see the group from earlier in the distance.

Nyoko blinked and stared at the guy in front of her, waiting for an answer to her weird and out of place question. She just stood there, waiting for something that she could under and listened to him speak to the other girls. She learned that he had not gone to the main office yet either, but at least he knew what it was. Maybe it was something that you couldn’t really talk about unless you've been there. That would have been a perfect reason why he didn't answer her in the first place. Turning to V as she was spoken to, Nyoko smiled. "I know J-Japanese." She answered, her English randomly getting a bit better.
The only things she could speak were English and Japanese, but they were almost equal in how well she could hold a conversation. There were alot of words in English she didn't know and it was the same thing with Japanese. It was only another weird fact in this weird girl that everyone was meeting. Then, as Amber spoke, Nyoko's eyes turned to her. Amber was finally giving Nyoko the answers she was looking for. Smiling, Nyoko merely nodded as she understood why going to the main office would be her first stop. "Thank you." She said in near perfect English, which has only happened once before in this conversation.
Re: All new everything"How is it she'll respond to you, but all I get is a blank stare?" Darrien thought, giving Amber a puzzled look that could only mean he was willing the question to her. The girl's voice was soft and whismical, almost like that of an innocent young child.
Taking a few steps toward V and Amber, Darrien leaned a bit closer to V and said "I wouldn't dream of frightening such an innocent young lady." he said softly to her, following his statement with a confident wink. "Lead on ladies!" Darrien said exuberantly.

A glance at Sora's direction and she only smiled in a mysterious way. Some people responded nicely ot her, but there would always be others that wouldn't...
With Amber leading the way, they walked from the auditorium and crossing the campus; one would realize how vast it was. Beyond here would be a mountain, a forest, a waterfall...hard to believe that this was a high school campus. Along the way Amber exchanged a few words with the three of them, pointing out where the Cafeteria, the Gym, the Hot Springs and other various places before they reached the main office and seeing the spectacled girl she had seen earlier. Amber turned to Nyoko and gave her some vital information:
"When you go in, the first door to the right is where you'd want to go. Don't worry, they'll be able to give you a room as soon as possible, if not come back and let us know. We'll figure something out."
Amber spoke loudly enough so that the other girl could hear her.
