Alterna (Open!)
Even if it's destiny or fate
I'll change that
Because I've fully seen
Fearful things

A swing of her sword, her chi masked by the appearence of simple wind gusts. Concentration, the chi blast turned with her will. Arched to the left and hit the tree to her far left, rustling the leaves from the trees. Amber's eyes met the reflection in her sword. She had this power for a short while and she was now getting the hang of it.

How long had she been alone in the forest? Maybe since midnight, her training sessions had become the activity of the night. Her sleeplessness was too much for her to bear, so she would meditate and train in the woods, or walk around campus. Even though a few extended late night invitations to her, she rarely decided to take them.

The girl's sword slid back into its sheath to rest. Her hand reached up to touch her own shoulder, the dress she wore covered the new cross-shaped scar she had gained. That strange man, the androgynous man cut her with a small blade. Why had it not healed since then? In fact, it still looked as if it was still healing over, she had even put a bandage over it to help.
Her eyes gazed up and she promptly fell back, her body hitting the grassy floor. Staring up at the sky, wishing to simply close her eyes and sleep.

There would always be that red in the sky, painted with the blood of humanity. Around me, people would die and their blood will pool into the street...always. And that pillar of light, Jacob's Ladder...I want to break it.

Those thoughts again, disjointed and never having the nerve to make sense. But those strange thoughts kept her from sleep, kept her from her pleasent dreams.

How many others in the school...suffer from the painful sleep...

Amber's dark eyes stared up at dawning sky, the colors it became before the sun would make it's grand entrance. She would rest there for a while, her body alert though it still wished for sleep.

He sat in a tree watching Amber from a distance as he had been for a while now. He was not there often, because he had things he had to do, but he was still trying to figure out her tie with this max guy. He did not like him one bit and he was going to find out what was going on even if he had to kill max to do it. He sighs as he watches her train, he should be doing that now instead of spying on some one. He smirks as she sheaths the blade and falls back. He did not flinch to hide like so many would, because he knew that motion registered to the brain so much more then everything else. He smiles and sits still watching her like a guardian hawk. He almost felt like a guardian the way he had been doing this lately. He had done this one in his past, guarding some one that is. He had almost died for that person. He watches calmly as she looks to the star wondering about her thoughts, he could only tell that her chi flow was moving rather oddly in her body as if her thoughts were random, his mind and body were still trying to get intoned completely to be able to use his enlightenment, but he still used it a lot to train.

Re: Alterna (Open!)
The shadows were creeping around again this nigth as Vash made his way towards Amber. His movements hidden by his shadey allies, the hunter quickly moved up onto the girl lieing in the grass. He knew he could have just walked up to her, but there was something that bothered him. As he came up on the scene from the roof, he had seen a figure in the trees. It bothered him that someone was watching Amber in such a secretive fashion, aside from himself, at least. He was one to stick to the shadows and acted like a guardian angel to the girl. If the one in the trees was doing the same, there would be no quarrel with the young hunter.

As he approached Amber, his movements became small bursts. He didn't want the figure in the trees to see him until he was close to Amber. That way, if the person or thing was hostile, he would be able to protect Amber. So, in his usual fashion, he stuck to the shadows until he was under a tree adjasent to Amber's position. The hunter then walked out with his back turned to the figure. Wearing his traditional trench coat and hat he wouldn't reveal himself too much. That and Amber's head was facing his direction, so he decided to poke his own head into her field of vision from the top of her's and tip his hat politely.

"Good evening." he said in a very casual manner, still looking down at her with a bit of a smile.

"Then again, wouldn't you thinking already be thought out, so that your thinking is involved in what you'll do? So that means if you didn't think then you wouldn't get to the same conclusion as you would if you thought about it, right? Oh well, best not to think about thinking about thinking, you think so? Well, I still say not thinking is the best way to think!" -Alex Summers, thinking about thinking

Re: Alterna (Open!)
Two...two different presences and both had been watching her. Who they were was something she was not able to determine yet, but through her meditations she could feel when the eyes of others are watching her. Useful when necessary, when needed.

One had decided to come close in short intervals, but even then she didn't move, still laying on the ground with her eyes watching the sky. Crickets chirped to her north, probably had been watching her too from the bushes and tall grasses. She would be able to know, to feel if it was dangrous situation coming. Footsteps in the grass arrived close to her and a familiar face from above greeted her. The girl held up her hand, one finger pointing up.

"Good evening. A moment please."

She sighed and forced her self to sit up. How long had she been lying there, she wondered. She picked out bits of grass from her hair and smoothed out her dress in concious thought of her legs.

"I've been training here for a long while, ended up falling back to the ground and couldn't get up for a little bit. Silly me."

The girl flapped her wings, they had ached when she had fell backwards but she couldn't find the strength to move much. She was better and her wings weren't injured. She looked up at him and she smiled, perfectly fine for someone who rarely sleeps.

"I hope you been well Vash..."

He could sense the young hunter moving long before he saw him and found it amusing that he thought he could hide from him. He merrily perched there watching the scene with a smile. As the young hunter enter the field he could tell who it was and took note of the energy he gave off so that in the future he would be able to tell from a distance who it was. He knew that the young hunter and the young angel were close and that they would not harm one another. He was far from concerned for her life at this time. He continued to perch there lightly wondering if he should move from his perch and head back to the school, he did not think this Max fellow was foolish enough to try and come near the angel with Vash around. But for now he merrily watched them both with mild interest. If they started anything he should not see he would make a discreet exit stage left.

Re: Alterna (Open!)
The hunter smiled a little at the mention of her training. Too many times before had the hypocritical hunter told her that she shouldn't train as hard as she did. She would eventually burn out at the pace she was going at, at least by all logic. Then again, she seemed to defy logic, as any person here would agree to. Vash then took a seat beside the girl, finding it somewhat inappropriate to be standing over her during such a casual conversation.

"I would suppose 'well' is a very loose term, but I am doing fine, yes." he replied with a smile. His homour was horrible, but then again, it was probably stupendous for those who had been sheltered like him. "I hope good fortune has found it's way to you as well."

After saying that, the dunpeal quickly flopped down onto the grass, putting his hands beneath his head to support it. His hat had now rolled away and his face was now completely visible between the few small strands of hair that littered it. He felt no need for Amber to get up on his account, so he decided to lie down himself so that it would seem somewhat more appopriate to do so. His eyes were fixated on the stars above, the night sky being clear with an almost full moon beaming down on them. It was a beautiful sight to behold, especially for one so in-tune with the night. The smile on his face grew a bit larger as a sudden thought popped into his head.

"You know, I have not had time to do this since I was a little boy..."

"Then again, wouldn't you thinking already be thought out, so that your thinking is involved in what you'll do? Re: Alterna (Open!)
"Really?"

Amber smiled and had rested herself back on the onto the grass, staring up at the sky. Her body had failed her in at least trying to sit up. While she was restless, her body demanded a little time to stop. It was understandable once she had thought about it, too little rest puts strain on the body.

Being reckless again...that's not what sensei taught you...

"You work too much then. Once in a while, it's good to just sit back and watch the moon, watch the stars. But then...I haven't been doing that as much lately either. This is probably the first time in a few nights that I could do this."

She glanced over at him and she smiled at him. He had been smiling more lately, she had noticed. Had something wonderful happened to him recently? The winged girl didn't enquire, simply because she enjoyed that moment. Finding a smile even in the darkness...the light that will always shine through.

"Hey...is there someone else watching us right now?" she asked in a soft voice, enough for only Vash to hear.

He watched them calmly from his perch, he was as still as a statue, every watching and feeling the world around him. His lip moved up a little at the corner as the hunter laid down. He thought it was out of hte norm, but made prefic sense if they were closer then he knew. He just watched with interest. He was pretty sure his time to leave was coming soon, he could almost feel the flow of chi telling him to leave while still hiden, but for at least a moment longer he will sit and watch. "rest.." He whispers every so softly as he heard them speak about taking a break. He tried to remind him self to take then now and again.

Re: Alterna (Open!)
"I am quite sure there is, but let us not alarm whoever it is." he whispered back with a slightly nod.

He was sure just poking at an ant hill like that was going to get the two into more trouble than he could have ever wanted. Undoubtebly it was a stalker of some sort. Whether they were god or bad was unknown, but a stalker of some sort, that was for sure. But, that didn't really matter at the moment. Both of them were safe on school grounds, and they had proven time and time again that they had a good deal of fight in them when pressed. He then turned his attention back to the original conversation.

"I suppose, though the forces of evil never take a vacation themselves. Though one may not be acting at the moment, two others take it's place. It is an endless cycle." he sighed with a bit of a laugh. "Though I have been getting mroe and more days to rest because of the summer lull coming soon. It is difficult to commit something turely evil when you have little time to plan and execute your deeds."

His gaze was then turned to Amber, who was now leiing next to him and watching the stars as he did. A smile was on her facem which lifted his spirits that much more. He always enjoyed seeing her happy, and it seemed to be a rarety these days. She was always troubled by something, something that haunted her. Maybe it was those Grigori, or whatever she had called them. She said they were trying to hunt her, and many others, down. He then got sidetracked in wondering how long these creatures had been hunting for. Maybe he would be able to out hunt them, having many advantages on his side when it concerned who would find who first. This gave him a bit of an idea, which he would later explore. At the present time, he was just happy that Amber was safe and happy.

"You may even see me aroudn the school, God forbid." he mentioned, chuckling at that statement.

"Then again, wouldn't you thinking already be thought out, so that your thinking is involved in what you'll do? So that means if you didn't think then you wouldn't get to the same conclusion as you would if you thought about it, right? Oh well, best not to think about thinking about thinking, you think so? Re: Alterna (Open!)
"Ah, really now?" Amber said cheerfully. "So that means you'll be less of a ghost on campus then."

Then she would be a little less lonesome, she would've added that if it was true. In the past few weeks, Amber had met so many kind people, but lately she missed spending time with her closest friends. She and V sparingly have their chatter over tea, but she enjoyed the moment every time she could. Yakoutio...she had not been able to spend any time with the boy, much less even see him. Amber turned her body towards Vash, curling up next to him. Nothing to fear from the stalker, the Grigori or anything else that dwelled in the shadows. Maybe that's why she was able to smile more often than not.

"I would not mind seeing you a little more often..." Amber said softly.

He watched them both and heard their conversation or at least what was not whispered. He raised an eyebrow swearing he was missing something. He shrugged to him self. He figured he had his cue to leave once she rolled over towards Vash. He was not one to want to see what they ‘might’ do then again he did not like spying on people for information as well, unless it was an evil thing he was working towards hunting down. He figured that the young man below was a lot like him in that way. He smirked and moved his left leg over the edge of the branch and then shifted his weight so he fell straight down from that point. He landed pretty light for some one of his size. The three-point landing he did, keep him mostly hidden from sight.

He looked over to the two with a soft smile then stood up and moved off towards the school. He was sure they knew he was there. Amber always seemed to be able to pick out where people were and if the hunter was worth his salt; he would have seen him perched there in plain sight. He was having to head across the clearing towards the school. He would not come within 15 feet of them. He thought about how he could have worked his way around the trees to get out unseen. He shrugged to the thought. He did not care if they found out he was playing guardian.

Vash looked at her as she rolled over and comented on his lazy schedual to come. He was blushing now, or as best as someone like him could, which was not uncommon when he was around Amber. His hand shot out and quickly picked up his fallen hat and placed it back upon his head to somewhat cover his face which was only starting to come to an off white colour. Now at a loss for words, Vash simply smiled back in a sheepish manner. He didn't need to say anything, it was simply written all over his face, and displayed through his body language that, though he seemed shy about it, he too would enjoy a little more time with her.

Re: Alterna (Open!)
A blush crossed her face and the girl quickly forced herself to sit up. Now if it made it more or less obvious that she was hiding her blushing, debatable. Either way, her body had jolted up from its sleeplessness, miraculously! Amber stared ahead into the forest for a moment, enough for her to calm down and a small smile suddenly crossed her face. Mischevious, playful thoughts again. She glanced over at Vash, still carrying that same smile.

"I may have been training a lot, but I must show you how much better I've become."

The winged girl stood up, picking up her Tai Chi sword. She pointed her sword straight into the darkness of the woods. Chi flowed into her sword; day by day, the chi flow was becoming less and less obvious until...

Vis Vires!

A diagonal slash of her sword and the wind gust of chi formed. A straight shot at first, then it made the sharp turn, apparent by the sudden rustle of the creaking trees. Not an ordinary wind gust!

And like a homing missile, it was heading straight to Jun's location.

That was half-beknownst to the two of them and she glanced over at him.

"See? A chi missle, kind of."

He moved along calmly not listening to the pair, not truly tring to spy any more. He could feel the chi of one of the two change and his brow narrowed together as he thought about what it could be. Then a second later he knew what it was as he felt the chi leave the person and come towards him. His mind knew before he did what it was. He turned towards the chi and snapped his arms up in front of him and actived Steel Skin. He teeth gritted lightly as he force extra chi into his arms to help take the blast from the chi. His mind thought of the last time he had to force extra chi into a body part and that was during the fight with Alex. He was not sure it was needed, but the last thing he needed was to get injuried at the begining of what could be a fight. He knew the form because he had seen it used before and he knew the damage it could do.

Jun's readiness to fight was half-beknownst to the two of them and she glanced over at Vash.

"See? A chi missle, kind of."

Amber looked back over where the chi missle had gone off to. Ah, there had been someone watching them. As to who it was, the winged girl could only guess. She was sure it was not Karrody, she had not seen him at all since the Garden. If it had been any of her friends, they would've already come out and at least greeted them.

How creepy...did I have another haunt fallowing me?

She looked over at Vash and she smiled, masking her thoughts and worries.

"I got that a while ago, and I've been trying to work on doing one or two at once."

As the missile nailed his arms he grunted lightly from the blow and smiled as the light energy smoke came up from his arms. He looked towards the two, he could sense them even if he could not see them. They did not seem to be moving towards him nor readying an other attack. He pondered calling out to them, he smirked lightly and decided if he wanted to keep from eating too many more of those, no matter how good the practice was for him, he should let them know he is around.

"Careful now, or your likely to injury some one."

He called out lightly and he moved over towards them with a smile on his face. Though his path was going to take him along side of them. If more came at least he would be quicker to the retreat factor.

She would recognized the voice anywhere, no matter where in the world she would be. Smiling and walking towards them as if there was nothing wrong. Chi energy was an energy but it was not the kind of thing one can read. If that was possible then all the secrets of the world would reveal themselves.

Amber had known that there was another energy close by, but she had never thought it was Jun who would emerge.

"Jun..." Her head tilts curiously...

"You're the one that's been stalking me? I never thought for you to be that kind of person."

Re: Alterna (Open!)
Vash watched the chi missle fly at the shadowy figure in the distance and simply smirked when it hit him. Apparently whoever it was had tougher skin than he thought. That, or the missle technique Amber had discovered was still very weak. He didn't want to admit it even to himself, but he was sure the missle was the faultering spot in this whole scenario. The ability to guide itself towards the attacker would diminish the overall power of the strike. Then, another queer thing happened. The figure acctually called out to them. This was somewhat of a surprise seeing as Vash hadn't expected the person to be so cocky. Then again, he wasn't exactly modest in these types of situations either.

"I would not be worried about her injuring anyone" he said to himself, chuckling directly after while cracking his knuckles.

His eyes then flashed that eerie red before disappearing altogether. The dunpeal was now making his circling charge towards the figure at a good pace. His silent steps and better than average speed would easily take the defender by surprise. Though, just in case, Vash decided to further his chances. Making a quick hand gesture as he focused, the shadows around the person swirled around his legs to trap him on the spot. Now that he was still, Vash could attack. Speeding up to a full sprint to close the gap, the hunter went full force at him with his knee jutting out in a striking position. His hands were ready to grab the boy to push him into the attack, sealing his fate. With his feet planetd to the ground by the shadows, escape was impossible!

He smiled calmly as the woman spoke to him. He was about to answer her as the young man made a crack of his knuckles and then rushed towards him. He tilted his head and stood there calmly as the man rushed forwards. The shadows came up and grabbed his feet. He raised an eyebrow, he had since this move before a hunderd times. He watched the young man leap into the air towards him knee forward. The man may have locked his feet but that did not lock the rest of his body.

He bent over backwards with his arms ready to block as the man went flying over him. He stuck straight up with his hands to push the young man into the air to make him sail further thenhe normally would have. He used the darkness to hold his feet still and keep him from straighting the ground. He came back up imedately after the man was over him.

Vash had expected the man to put up a struggle, though the clever move of using his own bonds to support his attack was clever. Yes, clever up to a point. The hunter still had control in this fight as he relinquished the shadows that held the defender and grabbed hold of his arms as he tried to throw him past. Now he had a firm grip on his arms because of his attempt to counter his move and the dunpeal would use that to his full advantage.

Picking the boy up with him, he easily spun both parties around and threw his adversary into the ground. The rebound was hard from the strength and momentum Vash ahd put into the throw and he punched down to get him on the rebound. After his two attacks, the hunter flipped into a less vulnerable position and landed on both feet with one hand pressed against the ground to stop himself from sliding too far. His glowing red eyes were fixated on his target, now hungry for the fluids inside of him. He had tried to hold back his hunger for weeks now, rarely suckling on the tit of his addiction, but now he knew he could more thouroughly enjoy himself with this little pervert.

He could feel his binds let go of his legs and smiles as the young man changed his plan of attack and instead grabbed his arms and flipped him in the air with him. He smiled as the man thru his into the dirt. Nailing dirt was the least of any probelm for him. He laid there as the young man flew past landing with a slide. He got back to his feet and looked to the man. His hands slide into his pockets as he smiled calmly to the man. He flipped his head back to get his hair out of his face. He looked to the man.

"I expected at least that from a man, Amber takes interest in. I am Jun-Bo Tsuen. So young hunter do you have a name or at you not done playing today?"

His stance was that of a man not worried about the sitituation he was in. He seemed ready to act, and yet also seems as though he expected the fight to end. He keep his soft fight as he waited to see what the young man would do. His action was going to be reacting to the other man.
