Anna Academy Membership Rumor
I've never posted on this site, but just surfed this message board. Has anyone heard the awful rumor about Anna being denied at an Academy Movie Premiere Gala recently because her Academy membership had been stolen? Is this true? Who'd do such a terrible thing?

No I haven't heard anything and if you don't give us a link or tell us where you heard it I'm afraid I can't believe you.
And anyway a lot of people would steal things from a celebrity either because they're crazy fans or because they want to sell them later to crazy fans who would pay anything to get them.
But I'm sorry, what you just said doesn't make any sense at all. I haven't heard anything about a Gala. I don't know what an Academy membership is (I don't even know if such a thing exists or if you made it up, but if it does I suppose it's some kind of card or something) but if someone loses it they can easily go get another one. Stop being dumb.

Stop being dumb?!?!?!??! Maybe you should pick on one of the other million retards on this site who can niether spell nor write to the point of total incoherence. And I was the one asking if anyone had heard or found a news article, dumbass. So don't ask me to "back it up" since that's the whole reason I was writing. But thank you for being a total ass munch. Second of all, an Academy Gala is an event that's held everytime a movie premieres in LA. It's sponsored by the academy and the Academy Membership Card allows you to get in for free. Here's some literature from the back of one:
"This is your Academy membership card for the calendar year. The card, and the privilege it conveys, is for your exclusive use and may be presented for theater admission by you only. At Academy screenings, you may be accompanied by one guest."
The membership itself is a little purple card (i.e. the size of a credit card) with a picture of the oscar award on it and the actor / actress name. I'm not gonna sit here and give links for this bullshit because you can obviously go out and find that yourself if you don't believe me. I also didn't say she wasn't admitted just that there was a bit of a problem because she couldn't find her card. I'm SURE it was easily replaced and not an issue at all, just lame that someone would steal it and I was wondering if it was true.

You know what? You really are dumb. I asked you where you heard this "rumor" and you didn't even bother to answer.
So I will assume that you made it up until you tell us where you heard it.

implying that I was either a liar or a moron for believing such trash. What? Is it not a totally viable scenario? What satisfaction might I possibly take in coming up with such a lame half-asked rumor? I'd say she was caught drinking monkey piss at an industry orgy or something. And just because you haven't heard of something as basic as a movie gala, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I asked a simple question. You obviously don't have any answers for me. Hows abouts you keep your fingers in your pants and off the keyboard for once, trigger happy, and stop trying to laugh at people who're just trying to get a questioned answered in a friendly manner amongst a group that might know.
For anyone that might have heard something (not you Tooth8rush) and hasn't already regurgitated by the lovely direction this conversation has taken, I heard this RUMOR on Z100, an NYC radio station, last Tuesday morning, Sept. 23rd, 2003.

No I don't like to piss people off, but I don't like people who spread false rumors either. Actually, I hate people who do that especially when it's about a celebrity I like.
Look, you came here, you've never posted a message before, you're overdramatic and you say that you heard a not so flattering (you did say that she wasn't allowed to go to a gala because she didn't have her membership card, admit that at least) rumor about Anna without even giving us the source of this rumor. You would probably react the same way if you were in my place.
I don't like to argue with people but I hope you're happier now that you called me all those names (your vocabulary is quite impressive), even if it did hurt my feelings (because it might be hard for you to believe but I am an oversensitive guy whose feelings get hurt when others assume things about me that are not true).
Anyway I don't want to talk to you anymore either (and feel free to go @#%$ yourself too).

So please stop acting and reacting like that! There are not many posts on this board, do not make these "lonely ones" be aggressive ones.
"stop being dumb" was certainly not serious, you shouldn't react like this when you post on a board for the first time and that you haven't talked to more than one person.
But someone who has a question or gives news should give a link to it, because of course we can search the Net but if you know where it is, why should we loose time?

Well I apologise for calling him/her dumb, but I didn't really expect him/her to be so rude. But then again everyone has a big ego and noone is willing to admit they made a mistake. I still don't want to talk to him/her but I can understand why she reacted that way.
I still don't think though that it's right to go to a forum and say that you heard a rumor and not back it up with a link or at least say where you heard it because if you're telling the truth it makes you look like a liar who made it up to cause trouble (and you will get responses like the one you got from me) and if you're lying it's just plain wrong because some people will unfortunately believe you.
