Another death in the big city (Open)
Sydney drove her lamborghini diablo down the streets of LA, Sydney parked the car three blocks away from then made her way near Violence & Lace with the black case in tow. Sydney stopped a few bulidings away from the shop and put the case down and opened it again and began to put the gun together, as Sydeny put the gun together Sydney could see a woman standing under a street lamp. Sydney had the gun together and placed the scope on as a man showed up.

On the street below the man began talking to the woman, Sydney thought she was either a prostitute or a vampier or both she really didn't care either way she was going to die tonight. Sydney placed the gun on the edge of the roof and looked through the scope. The man was standing on the drivers side of his car waiting for the woman to get in on the other side. The woman took a step and her head exploded with blood and brain matter flying everywhere.

The man began to freak out looking around trying to see who shot the woman but didn't see anyone in the darkness. Sydney pulled the rifle back and began to take it apart a little faster then when she put it together, Sydney really didn't want to be around when the boy's in blue show up.

((Hope you don't mind me joining))

DJ needed to get out of Nightstalker headquarters, the two youngsters Brain and Zoe were driving him crazy and well he wasn't needed supposedly on whatever Abbi and Hannibal were up to. So he grabbed a couple of guns and a few uv granades and headed out on his own, he of course had told the rug rats that he was leaving and where he could be found but other then that he had slipped out without anyone else noticing.

He walked along the dark and dingy streets of LA, he was dressed inconspicuously in a pair of black slightly baggy jeans and a black hooded sweat shirt, his dark brow hair a tosseled mess. It was his blue-green eyes that gave him away, they shifted back and forth as he looked over the people he passed trying to spot the vamp in the crowd. So far he hadn't found any but that didn't make him loosen up any, actually it made him more tense as the streets became less and less busy.

He turned down the street where a cheesy store called Violence & Lace was found, it was a store dedicated to vampires. Not the real ones of course but the ones created by Bram Stoker and Anne Rice, it was a hang out for the goth kids who thought that immortality was romantic and beautiful. He knew better. Up ahead a car came to a stop and the woman who was standing up the street light leaned towards the car window, Dj straightened up and slipped his hand into his right pocket and pulled out a uv granade. He picked up his pace, she wasn't just any prositute, she was a vampire and there was no way that he was going to let her get into that car. He was no more then ten feet away when her head exploded, he hadn't even heard the shoot. He froze on the spot and the car sped away, he looked up in time to see a woman with a rifle disappear.

He flew down the alleyway to the escape ladder of the building she was on top of, he jumped and pulled the ladder down and began to climb upwards as fast as his feet and hands could take him. Who was this woman and what did she have against this paticular vamp or was it vampires in general? He knew that he must have creating a complete ruckus but at this point he didn't care, he had to make it to the roof before she disappeared. He finally made it to the roof and as he leapt from the ladder onto the roof top he scanned quickly to see where she was, but he didn't spot her right away.

"I know that you're still up here...I just wnaat to know why."

He said just loudly enough for her to hear him as he walked slowly across the roof towards where she had fired the shot from. His view was obstructed by a huge air duct vent and he prayed that she didn't have a gun aimed at his head because he was pretty sure that she wasn't the type to fire a warning shot.

(I don't minded at all)

Sydney finished putting the rifle when the man got to the roof. Sydney grabbed her Desert Eagle as she moved around the last conner of the huge air duct coming out behind the man. "Didn't your mother ever teach you it's not nice to stick your nose into other peoples business." Sydney wispered into his ear as she ponts the gun at his back.

"You want to know why I killed that woman?" Sydney said staying behind the man "Let's just say I didn't like her and leave it at that. Why do you want to know what I was doing." Sydney asked. Sydney turned her head and could here the cop cars coming. "I really don't have time for this." Sydney thought. "Your running out of time."

He should have been more careful but DJ usually acted first and though second, he had been so intent on discovering who she was that he hadn't bothered to arm himself and now that he had a gun pointed into his back it was too late. He snickered as she whispered in his ear, stupid reaction for sure but that was typical of his smart ass attitude.

"I was shipped off before my mother had a chance to teach me that one."

He raised his hands slightly to show that he wasn't holding anything. He could hear sirens in the distance approaching and wondered what the cops would think when they responded to a call about a gun shot and instead of finding a body they found a pile of burning ash. He could the impatience in her voice and he grew serious.

"You see it seems that we are actually in the same business."

He didn't want to say to much just incase she wasn't a rouge vampire hunter and just a hit woman with a grudge or contract. If he blew the Nightstalkers cover there would be hell to pay in the form of Abbi and Hannibal, lord only knows what the price would be. So he left his response vauge enough for her to read whatever she wanted into it.

"Really? What might that business." Sydney knew what he was talking about but decided to play dumb. Sydney remember someone putting a contract out on the Nightstalkers maybe he knows them. Sydney also remembered how much 5 million a Nightstalker. Someone wanted them dead really bad, I think I'll play along and see what info I can get on them. "Put your arms down you look like an idiot"

Sydney pulled the gun away "Don't try anything funny." Sydney walked over and grabbed the black case. "I don't know about you, but I don't want to be here when the cops get here." Sydney put the gun back in its holster as she began to go down the ladder "If you want to talk come with me. If not your on your own." half way down the latter Sydney let go and dropped down to the ground. Sydney wait for the man to make up his mind.

Damn she wasn't going to play along or give anythig away, he was positive that she must have known that it was a vamp but he certainly couldn't blow his cover to just gain her trust.

"Keeping the streets of LA safe."

Was all he said as he lowered his arms after she said he looked like any idiot, something that he didn't want to look like in front of her. She pulled the gun away much to his relief and took a good long look at the shooter, she was hot in a completely-able-to-kick-his-ass kind of way. He couldn't guess her age and he wasn't about to ask but from her gear and her aim she was a pro and must have been in the biz for some time. She began to make her way to the ladder, she was really concerned about what would happen when the cops got there which Dj understood and he followed her.

He climbed down the escape ladder behind her and watched as she let go and jumped to the ground, he did the same thing as if he needed to prove himself to her. He looked around the alley and then back at her, the sirens were getting dangerously close now.

"So got any ideas about how to get out of here quickly, cause I don't think walkings an option."

He said in a cocky voice.

"Stay here, I'll be back." Sydney said as she began moving down the alley. Sydney turned down another alley moving faster then before almost running. She made it to her car walking around back of the car she opened the trunk and tossed the case in and slammed the door shut. Walking around to the drivers side Sydney got in and started the car up.

Sydney drove back to where the man was "You were saying something about getting out of here?" Sydney looked at him with a rased eyebrow. "Get in, keeping the streets of LA safe? what are you a cop wanna be?" Sydney looked behind her, she could see the cop cars coming. "Are you coming or are you just going to stand there looking pretty all night?" She said with a smirk.

He did what she said but as she vanished from sight he almost ran after her, not one hundred percent sure if she was actually going to come back. As he stood there he knew that he had already made the mistake of appraoching this woman, but now to be going somewhere with her...this good be bad. She was going to ask questions and he was going to have to be really careful about how he answered them until he knew that she could be trusted, and even if he did trust her he was pretty positive that the rest of the Nightstalkers back at headquarters wouldn't.

Suddenly he heard the low rummble of an engine and it was getting louder as it got closer. Soon enough headlights illuminated the alleyway and Dj raised his right hand to sheild his eyes from it. His mouth nearly dropped open as the car came into sight, it was as hot as the driver.

"Nice getaway car, very inconspicuous."

He smirked at her as he slipped in and closed the door behind him.

"No not a cop wannabe...I hate cops."

His tone serious but a smile still lingered on his lips.

"Thanks for the pretty comment sometimes a guy needs to hear it."

He winked at her .

"I'm all about being inconspicuous." Sydney said as they drove off "That's something we have in common I hate cops too. I trust them about as far as I can throw them." Sydney rolled her eye's at the pretty comment. The car hit 50 mph just before hitting a sharp turn "Seat belt, boy wonder!"

"Is there someplace you want to go and talk?" Sydney asked as they drove down the streets of LA. She began weaving in and out of traffic, dogeing cars taking many close calls. Sydney looked at the man sitting next to her out of the conner of her eye, He must think I'm crazy. Truth be told I like the rush, it helps clear the mind. Sydney smiled to herself she was really enjoying the raid she almost forgot about the man next to her.

He couldn't help but chuckle out loud when she said she was all about being inconspiculous, it was nice to know that there was a sense of humor under all that toughness after all. The engine roared as they torn off into the night and as they pulled out of the alley going far to fast for the sharp corner a grin crossed his face, heck even if the cops did see them they would never be able to catch them. He slipped his seat belt on quickly as she weaved in and out of traffic, ignoring the boy wonder comment completely.

"See I knew that we had a lot in common when you blew that vamp away."

He said in a very calculated way, he was trying to gage her reaction and he prayed he was making the right move. He grabbed on to the dash as she just barely missing the bumper of the car in front of them Way to go DJ now she's really impressed he thought to himself as he sat back. Going as fast as they were was a rush but it was also potentially deadly.

"Anywhere you want to go is fine with me."

He finally answered her question.

Sydney rased an eyebrow at hearing him chuckle. "You hunt vamps too?" She said as she turned down another street. Sydney slowed to car down some she didn't want to give the man a heart attack. If she was alone she would have flood it, strate out of the city. On a nice night like this. But she's not alone, she's with a man she just met not long ago. She didn't even know his name.

Sydney turned again this time into a parking lot of a club called Fire and Ice. "Thought this would be a good place to talk." the bright red lamborghini diablo came to a stop behind another car. Sydney took off her holster and pulled out the knife out as she opened the glovebox with the other hand. She placed them both inside. then she unzipped her vest and took it off and put it under her set.

A man knocked on the window, Sydney grabbed her keys opened the door and gave them to the man and he handed her a ticket. "Coming?" Sydney asked. As she left the car and headed towards the front door. By passing the very long line and stopped at the door man.

"You hunt vamps too?" She sounded surprised that he was in the hunting business, not that he was surprised he hadn't given her much reason to think other wise with his actions so far.

"I know I don't look like I fit the bill but yeah."

He said as she slowed down, he wasn't sure if it was because she didn't want to draw attention to them and now that they were far enough away from the scene of the shooting she could, or that she was taking pity on him cause he could just imagine the look of terror on his face. They pulled into the parking lot of a club called Fire and Ice, he was familiar with it but had never been inside. He watched as she took off her weapons and hidden them within the glovebox, he then place his hands into his pockets, took out the uv granades and placed them in the glovebox as well.

"Of course."

He got out of the car, he followed her past the line and to the huge door man.

"Okay now what?"

Sydney turned to the door man "Hey Syd long time no see, brought a date this time I see." "Very funny you know I don't date, I don't have the time. With my line of work. "Sydney thought it was kind of funny that he was called little when the man was at lest six feet tall. Little Jim looked at Sydney's friend then looked back at her. "You want in?"

"No I thought we'd stand out here all night." Sydney said very sarcastically. "Your mouth is going to get you into trouble one of these days you know." Little Jim said as he moved out of the way. "I know." Sydney said with a small smile on her face. Sydney began to walk in then stop and turned around "Is Tom working tonight?" "He's in there somewhere."

Sydney walked inside and spotted Tom. She walked off to talk to him a few minutes later she came back "Follow me." Sydney began to make her way towards the back of the club. She came to a room opened the door and went inside. Sydney walked over to a leather couch and flopped down on it. "Close the door, help yourself to the bar over there. This is VIP so we don't have to worry about anyone buging us."
