Another political post
The Bush Administration says we must invade Iraq because Saddam Hussein has violated UN Security Council resolutions, is abusing his own people, and pursuing weapons of mass destruction. Yet the US supports the nuclear-armed dictator of Pakistan and provides billions of dollars in aid to the governments of Turkey and nuclear-armed Israel, both of which are in violation of multiple UN resolutions. The blatant double standard makes one wonder: What is this war really about? The short answer is oil. Iraq has the second largest proven reserves of petroleum, and US oil companies, which exercise immense influence over the current administration, are eager to tap into Iraqi oil. This is wrong. We should not attack people in a far-off country to take their resources.
Think about it!
People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid

I'm in agreement with you there. And besides there are closer areas to get oil from. I'm sure our government would be more than happy to ship our oil down there. Why not, they are already getting our electricity and god knows what else.

Not to mention we gave Saddam the ability and the power in the late 70s early 80s as well.....i guess we just changed our mind.... sometimes its ok to support a nasty evil dictator,as long as the US has something to gain. Its like mafia ethics, Saddam decided he didnt want to play with the US anymore, well we cant have that so we have to obliterate. But anyway it is here wether we like it or not, and we should remember that no matter what our stance is on war, we need to support our troops over there,and the troops of the coalition and the Iraqui people,there only mistake...joining the armed forces.

Well i definatly think this war is shitty. GW should definatly get rid of all dictators if he wants to get rid of one. The only thing to this wars defense is that one less cant hurt.
