Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.

Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.

OOC: First and foremost, I want to apologize for my late editing. I know I have no excuse but with our theatrical show opening, I have had very little time for much posting anywhere. However, I guarantee I have thought long and hard about all the questions raised and I hope this is sufficient. If not, the please tell me and I will fix it ^ ^ thanks!
Name: Arion Erisanelle McAndrews
Age: 16
Grade: 10th
Apperance: Some one once said, “eyes are a window into the soul”, were they right or not for all is of so significance. What is significant is that this saying does apply to Arion Erisanelle McAndrews. Her eyes are a piercing, dark brown, like dark gems peering out at you behind her dark eyelashes and curved brown eyebrows. Her facial complexion is a fair, moonlit white and her cheeks are a subtle pink, as if kissed by an icy rose. Her hair flows down her back in soft, golden brown curls and waves. Standing at about 5’8, she is naturally tall and this is shown by her graceful and slender limbs and weighs in at about 130lbs, this being mostly muscle from her sword and bow and arrow training. She normally wants to wear nothing more than a simple little black dress, but when she is forced to, she likes to wear simple blue jeans and a peasant top of either a long or short sleeve variety.
Personality: Arion has a very strange persona and this, as most do, reflect upon her childhood. However, what is particularly strange about Arion’s personality is that she as a dual nature. On the one hand she is as wild and free as any Scottish girl would be. If she is in this nature, there is nothing she likes more than to be outside, connected to the earth she loves so much. She can almost even hear the wind call to her, as if brought by memories of her native land. In this form, she is also particularly dangerous, so connected to the land that she can even almost hear the pulsations when someone moves. This, however, was taught to all of the members of the McAndrews clan and therefore, is no great exception. In this form she is also very spiritual and even mystical, calling upon the blood inside her to manifest into her wings or dopple ganger to save her. Adventurous and strong, not much scares her in this for, including death.
For all the oddities in her other form, Arion does have another side to her, a level all people must have and a contrast. In this form, Arion does act like a teenager…a normal teenager. She loves to chase boys, read, write, and run around with friends. In this form, she also loves to be hospitable, often cooking delicious treats for any who come over. She tends not to be motherly, but more older sisterly, meaning she does look out for other but not to a point of over obsession. In this form, as well, she yearns for love and the feeling of being needed. Again brought on from her past, she hates being alone, especially in the dark. Being alone and the fear of being alone is her most grave weakness. She also hates the idea of anyone being hurt because of her and will do almost anything to prevent that from happening.
Special Power:
Arion actually has a very interesting and strange power that she has had for a very long time. Arion has what many call a dopple ganger, another self that exists inside you and takes control of you from time to time. However, this dopple ganger can, most times, be more deadly or smart than the original person. This dopple ganger is what this person wants to be most…they are the ideal. However, Arion’s dopple ganger is flawed and cursed. Her dopple ganger doesn’t live inside her, as most would assume, she and her dopple ganger are two different bodies. They may look exactly alike but they are totally opposite in many ways, but one most evident. Because of the flaws Arion’s dopple ganger has, the dopple ganger can only be seen in a mirror. However, the mirror may only be on her or it must be in the same room. Though she cannot see her in any place but a mirror, Aislynn's voice can reach into Arion's mind when she concentrates and is not in the middle of a huge ordeal. The mirror that Aislynn can communicate with Arion can be any. However, the strongest and most full connection is the mirror that Arion's mother gave to her. It is silver with emerald celtic knots and enchantments placed on it. The mirror is pure and clean, but should it get dirty then all Arion would need to do is dip it into water from Scotland (which she keeps with her at all times).When the dopple ganger needs to move from mirror to mirror, she becomes nothing more than a little mist and transfers onto the mirror. Her mist moves very rapidly, almost at the speed of sound, transferring from one surface to another in order to speak to Arion. Because she is a spirit, she can move where ever she choose but the furthur she travels, the more rest she needs before she can communicate. Another major thing is that Aislynn has the power to manifest in physical form while mist. Though, were she ever to do that, Aislynn would forfeit her existence for about six months while she regains her powers in a very long and hard process. However, after the six monthst are over, Aislynn may return to speak to Arion, but she cannot travel. When they do communicate, it is like Arion is talking to her reflection, and she can send her dopple ganger to check things out or to spy on a particular enemy.
Arion’s second power is one that many don’t consider a power but she certainly does. Arion has the power of flight. This flight may either be shown by the use of wings or it can be wingless. However, when she does use this ability, she runs out of energy quickly, thus she cannot stay out in the air for very long. If she does try to outdo herself, blood will form either beneath her wings or where her wings should be and she will bleed until she is forced to land before she looses consciousness. Once she takes off in the air she can only fly for about 5 minutes before she starts to bleed and can only fly at about 15 mph. However, this shortens when she is carrying someone with her. If holding someone while she flies she can only fly for about 3 minutes and can only fly at about 10 mph. When she lands, she must rest depending on how long she pushes it. If she goes for about a minuet longer she must rest for about 30 minutes before she can fly again. If she even pushes it five minutes longer, she is apt to pass out from the blood loss and will remain uncoinscious for a little over an hour.
History: Few in the entire Scottish region could not associate the words ‘power’ with ‘McAndrews’. True to the rumors and the almost taboo circulation, the McAndrews family had such a strong hidden power that they were rarely ever seen in public. As if someone described the wind, those would always describe the McAndrews as ‘myserious’, ‘serene’, ‘turbulent’, and of course, ‘non visible.’ However, as the people outside knew, the McAndrews did exist and they kept themselves hidden quite nicely. If you suspected someone to be known as a McAndrews, and you approached him or her and asked him or her, they would simply give another name and say how flattered they were you would think of them as such. Then, they would laugh at you, once they had come home.
Why were the McAndrews so powerful? Well, about two millennia ago, when the Druids came to Britannia, the McAndrews were a clan that went with them. The McAndrews were a highly powerful clan of Druids and their magic flourished for many centuries. However, when the Romans came, the McAndrews and the rest of the Druids were either killed or pushed into obscurity. Also, when the Romans came, they brought their beliefs and this nearly obliterated the magic the Druids knew, but it didn’t altogether.
The McAndrews were stripped of all power except for one magical ability, the Dopple Ganger. While this normally wouldn’t be seen as so great, once they lost everything else, they remembered how lucky they were to have Her. Down through the years, She stayed with them and guarded their secret. Then, one night, something odd happened. On the night of a lunar eclipse, the Dopple Ganger suddenly faded from the Mirror she was bound to. While she faded, the Lady of the McAndrews Clan, Jocelyn, gave birth to a baby girl and then died from complications. The Lord of the Clan, Sawyer, blamed both the child and the Dopple Ganger for leaving them at a time like that. He cursed the child, giving her the painful power of flight and then committed suicide, saying that he never wanted to part with his beloved.
The Dopple Ganger named the child Arion, after the ancient word for destiny, for it would be Arion’s destiny to outlive the curse upon her. As Arion grew into a small child, her nurse and the Dopple Ganger were the only ones who cared for her and loved her. The Dopple Ganger taught her how to summon her and how to fly, the Nurse teaching her everything else. Arion’s happy life, however, was tragically cut short.
One evening, bandits came to the McAndrews Manor, being descendants of the Druids themselves, they used their dark magic to destroy the Manor and kill Arion’s Nurse. The Nurse had claimed that she was the last of the McAndrews and not Arion. Guided by the Dopple Ganger, Arion escaped the house and into the Highland forest with a mirror. Holding the Dopple Ganger in her little mirror, Arion watched from the hill side as her house and Nurse were burned to the ground.
Outraged, Arion alerted the authorities and they tracked down the Bandits. They were arrested and kept in the local jail. Whilst there, they inexplicably met horrendous bloody deaths. Not a single person could explain or even attempt to explain how they were murdered, seeing as everything was locked tight.
However, on that same hill, Arion called the Dopple Ganger back into the mirror and she left to start her new life. Before anything else though, Arion named her Dopple Ganger ‘Aislynn’ because her teachings were ‘strong’ and her appearance like a ‘dream’.

Sample Role Play: Everything seemed to be closing in around the small girl’s body, so fragile and soft. Strange noises and heat seemed to explode from nowhere and countless thoughts of terror plagued her mind and senses. Suddenly, without warning something grew hot in her pocket…it was the Dopple Ganger! She was calling to Arion! Taking out the Dopple Ganger’s Mirror, she saw the Dopple Ganger look back up at her,
“My Lady, you need to run, run far away!” came her voice in Gaelic.
Gaelic was what some people called the ‘Old Language’, the ‘Language of Magical Power’, and it was the tongue she was named in, so it was very powerful especially for her.
In confusion, Arion just sat there, transfixed by the look of terror in the Dopple Ganger’s eyes. She had never seen such a look…it was a look that she never thought magical creatures could possess…
It was impossible. She had heard of her Nurse causing fake fire drills to practice safety regulations…but that night, as she looked up at the velvet sky, barely illuminated by a faint moon a thought struck her…this was no drill. Edited by: ArionHalfBlood777 at: 1/27/07 12:28 pm

Anyways, I'll look through this real quick now that I'm here.
EDIT - OK, I looked through it. I'm going to have to ask a staff member about the doppleganger to double check, but I think it's alright. For the flying ability, could you say for about how long she could go before starting to bleed, and how much time she has to land once she does start bleeding? Maybe some speeds for the flight, too. Make sure the time limits and speed are small, too.

With the doppleganger thing, since they're essentially the same being, can she be in a mirror in china, is there a limit to how far they can be seperated? Also, what is she capable of as mist, can she see or hear things and how fast does the mist move?
Thats all I can think to comment on right now...cause...I'm hungry, but clarify that stuff for me and I'll look over it again.

I want to add another question. Does the mirror have to be an actual mirror? Or can it be anything that she can see her reflection in. Such as water, the shine of a new car, etcetra?
