Ascii symbols, colors, etc in Chat
Ok search failed me and I was gone to long to remeber any of this, some friends want to know how to put for instance music symbols in their bards inc message, or color text on an in to show the name of the mob well. Can somone point me to some info, asked the lazy rogue......

Ok

What you need to do is go into windows desktop and look at your Eqclient.ini files. It should have all your stored macros, hotkeys etc. Minimize this window, then go into c:/windows, and sys32 there is a icon that looks like a box called character map. Open that up, and there is a map of all the funny looking symbols. Once you find the ones you want, cut and paste them into your eqclient.ini macros and you should be good to go. I did this for pull messages, mgbs, etc, etc.

I am not aware of any colors you can add to text macros. Frankly I think that would mess up the in-game chat mechanics so they probably wouldn't allow that.

ASCII text is fun though :)
