Atan Finith Ring
Atan stands 6 feet tall with the typically slim, but muscular, build of the elves. His brown hair is long in traditional fashion, and would reach almost to his shoulders if it were not tied back by a strap of soft leather. His jaw is strong but the most striking features are his piercing ice-blue eyes which make some uncomfortable.
His clothing appear rather unremarkable for that of a woodself. His pants and tunic are of finely woven sturdy grey wool, the elbows and knees reinforced with swatchs of soft leather, which upon continued scrutiny reveal seams that have been triple stitched for durability. His brown boots are in excellent condition but look very well traveled. A light cloth smock covers his clothes and leather armor from his shoulders down to his thighs. Poking from below the smock is a high leather collar from his leather armor that ends just below his chin, emroidered in brilliant silver thread are glyphs that encircle the whole collar. The hodded smock is dark green in color with sewn patchs of browns and greys. At times one can see that the smock is actually reversible with white patches sewn on a brown base on the opposite side. A belt holds the loose smock in place across his hips, hanging from which is a sheathed dagger with a hilt of deer antler on his right. A second belt cuts diagonally up across his chest from right to left and secures a long sword to his back, it's pommel can be seen just over his left shoulder. His forearms are covered with thick simple leather vambraces and in his hand can nearly always be found an Olmanii short bow made of yew and horn. A rugged but simple backpack and quiver of arrows adorn his back. The white fletching rising nearly in line with his right ear.
The leather suit, made by the Dragon Newt Utama, appears in every detail like the armor worn by the Vaeltheren Elves that live at the base of the Vaelgalen mountains. Well oiled, its colors are marbled in deep shades of browns like that of burnished walnut. Beneath the leather is a masterworked layer of fine runemetal chainmail sandwiched between another layer of light padding. It is high collared but around the collar and the cuff edges are dozens of tiny glyphs embroidered in silver that appear luminiscent in the presence of natural light.
Graceful and strong he appears to model the stories of the stereotypical elf. His angular features, accentuated by his time spent on the trail with the Merek Lek, has left his muscular physique sparse and hardened.
Articulate and perceptive, Atan demonstrates wisdom and leadership most uncommon in his elven peers. He is forthright and strongwilled but careful not to be stubborn. Although inquistive he is not bookish, his intelligence being that expected of an average person. Not prone to the aloofish and capricious nature of his less serious kin, he does enjoy banter and jokes with those he decides are friends and has developed a slight penchant for human/dwarvish ales.
