G'Day all I'm curious about the economical benefit of the snorkel regarding fuel economy. It does capture colder (more dense) air but the air still passes through or next to the turbo which will pre-heat the air to standard temperature before it enters the chamber. Which to my thinking will gain absolutely no benefit on economy. It's not the amount of air that makes the difference, it's the density???? It's a 12 to one ratio mix of air to fuel that is ideal and the more dense the air (colder) the better the bang. But having a turbo diminishes the process of trying to obtain colder air. I could be way off here, so don't quote me but any thoughts on this idea, is it partly true or just a load of rubbish that I'm spinning? CESSA
