Brad McQuaid on griefers --
Quote:Somebody: I don't think PvP will work in a PvE world because of griefers.
Brad:
Not sure I agree. As long as players have a way to avenge themselves I think this type of player helps add to that extra rush that people look for when they opt to play in a PvP environment.
In my experience, it's only been frustrating when the game's mechanics don't allow me to 'impact' the griefer. If he can kill me and take my stuff, place it into a bag that I can't reach, and then laugh as I give him a shortcut to his bind point, then I feel frustrated.
If, however, the game allows me to repay the griefer then I have a game within the game... In a strange way, I almost look forward to the sneaky griefer smacking me while I'm fighting an NPC, for he just added to my content by giving me a new quest .
Hell, ya. McQuaid's philosophies regarding just about anything MMO's simply owns.

Hehe, when did he say this? I've had a discussion with him and Jeff about PvP before, he expressed similar sentiments but that quote puts those sentiments together quite nicely.
