Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

Bullies! (Stella)
Saori had moved into her dorm room, but it was fairly bare. She had not brought many of the things she needed from home: things like bedsheets and pillows, and she even needed to buy some more clothes. And where else would one be able to get such an array of things? She could go to the nearest Wal-Mart, of course.....if she knew what one was. Otherwise, the mall was the most obvious choice.
The girl wandered through the mall, hands clasped together over her chest as she ducked back and forth, away from the people. There were so many of them, all walking around her! She wanted to find a corner and curl up to hide from them....what had she thought, coming to such a populated place?! People were so scary!
She couldn't even think straight. Where was she going, what was she doing? Not knowing what else to do, she closed her eyes tightly and scurried forward, running straight through the food court without looking where she was going. And she wouldn't have stopped, either, if it weren't for the body that stood in her way. She ran smack into the back of some boy, who had been minding his own business with his friends. Immediately, she fell back, landing on her rear with a loud squeal.
When she looked up at the boy that stood over her, a deep crimson blush filled her cheeks and her big, scared eyes welled up with tears. She was so scared, and so ashamed of herself for running into him....her mind was racing, her heart beating so fast, she thought she would die...
"I'm s-s-s-sorry!!' She said meekly.
"Look what you did!" She apparently ran into the wrong boy....this one was going to mistreat her, just as she feared. Tears began running down her cheeks, and she lowered her head to hide her face from the boy as she sobbed. "Aww, you gonna cry now, baby?"
One of the other boys nudged his friend, and pointed down at her. "Look, she's got green hair!" The boy that seemed to be the leader reached out and pushed her head back, to get a good look at her. Saori closed her eyes tightly, sobbing loudly as tears poured down her cheeks. "I bet she's one of them freaks at that school nearby."
"Come on, freak, use your freakish powers to get away!" The boys all laughed at their leader, as they began to poke and prod her. Saori didn't know what to do anymore; she simply curled up in a ball on the floor, crying loudly and hoping they'd go away.

Stella had recognised the slight ache in her stomach as a sign she needed lunch. She had glanced into the cafeteria momentarily, but the food there had looked… less then appetising. It was apparent an excursion was necessary. After collecting her coat and bag Stella had headed for the mall, planning to visit the food court and later perhaps buy a few things to take back to the rooms.
She had just slid in front on an empty table with a plate of some noodle thing and a bottle of water in her hands when she heard a rather shrill shriek. Stella placed her lunch on the black plastic surface in front of her and looked around, trying to find the source of the sound.
A group of boys were standing in front of a girl who seemed to have been knocked off her feet. The boys appeared to be touching her, but it was hard to tell if they were trying to help or just making a nuisance of themselves. A frown touched her face as a boy’s words reached her.
"Look, she's got green hair! I bet she's one of them freaks at that school nearby. Come on, freak, use your freakish powers to get away!"
Stella’s bright blue eyes paled to ice as she felt the soft heat of anger inside her. Abandoning her food, Stella walked quickly towards the group, her white hair swishing slightly against her back. She stepped up to stand to the right of the small girl now curled up into a ball on the floor and faced the males before her. Apart from seeing her around campus Stella did not know the girl at her feet, but she was not willing to stand by while someone was being tormented.
“Excuse me, is there a problem here?”
Her tone was light, even friendly as was her face. Only the colour of her eyes betrayed Stella's true feelings about the situation.

Re: Bullies! (Stella)
At the sound of another voice, the boys all turned to look. It would seem that the green-haired girl had a savior. As the boys looked at Stella, the leader grinned and took a step forward. He could tell by the color of her eyes...this girl was not normal; and when Stella called Saori a "schoolmate," he was sure of it.
"Are you one of them freaks too?" He turned and looked back at his lackeys, grinning stupidly. "I bet she thinks she's better than us, huh?" When he turned back to look at Stella, his face had changed from joking to completely serious. "Well, you're wrong. All of you freaks are wrong. You're no better than us, you're all scum. Freaks should be treated like freaks, cause ya'll sure aren't people." He glared at Stella, obviously getting angry. His fists clenched at his sides, and he reared back to swing...
Saori looked up now, to find another person standing over her. From the exchange of words, she came to the realization that Stella wasn't there to bully her. The young, shy girl's eyes widened; she couldn't believe someone would ever stand up for her! No one had ever done so before, with the exception of her brothers; she was used to being mistreated like she had been with these boys, but what Stella was doing was completely new to her....
Seeing the fist, the girl let out another squeak, and ducked. She covered her head with her hands, and closed her eyes, curling up as tightly as she could. In her mind, the boy was going to hit her; she was used to being beaten, but she still didn't like it. She waited, but the blow didn't come.....
Again, she lifted her eyes a little, peering up through her thick hair, watching shyly and nervously to see what happened next....

Re: Bullies! (Stella)“Are you one of them freaks too? I bet she thinks she's better than us, huh?"
Stella’s eyes narrowed. She moved to stand in front of the girl and faced the boy who’s commented, her hands on her hips. Stella was used to people finding her different, but this was the first time someone had so openly insulted her. If she had been on her own she may have simply ignored it, but she was helping someone.
“I don’t believe I am a freak. Nor is my school mate. As for being better then you, it is not hard to feel superior someone who torments those smaller then he is. And you haven’t even done it yourself. You needed a crowd of friends to take on a small girl. Hardly someone I feel second-rate to. ”
Stella tensed as the boy looked at her again. His face betrayed he was no longer joking around. Stella stared him in the face, cocking an eyebrow. It saddened her there were people with such prejudices in the world, but for those who acted on them she felt nothing but frustration.
“Well, you're wrong. All of you freaks are wrong. You're no better than us, you're all scum. Freaks should be treated like freaks, cause ya'll sure aren't people."
Stella’s eyes widened as she saw he was preparing to hit her. Mark had always told her a man should never hit a woman. But then this one did not think of her as a person. Stella did not look away, but her eyes darkened to indigo as she used Night Sky. Its effects were not noticeable indoors, but above the roof the sky had darkened to midnight. She titled her chin up, almost inviting the blow.
“If by people you mean others like you, I’m glad you find me an exception.”
Stella was not often rude, but she was feeling wild.

Re: Bullies! (Stella)
When the girl didn't make any signs of being afraid, it only frustrated him further. He could see no noticeable difference in her demeanor, no sign that she was going to block or dodge his punch. He was an asshole, but he'd never hit a girl. Yet this wasn't a girl, right? In his mind, these two were freaks, monsters, inhuman creatures. Her actions and her words were asking for it....
So he swung his fist down at her, aiming straight for her jaw. He wasn't a weak boy, and such a blow would hurt most human men if it connected. With a fiery look in his eyes, he followed through, hoping to knock her jaw sideways and even send her off-balance with the blow.
Saori almost screamed at the sight. Here was this girl trying to save her, getting hit instead of her, and the wind mage was doing nothing! She could only sit on the floor and cry... Saori felt awful for causing this. Why was Stella getting hit instead of her? She was a little ashamed for letting it happen...
But she also felt liked, for the first time since she'd been with her brothers, she truly felt as if this girl cared about her well-being...

Re: Bullies! (Stella)
Stella’s head snapped to the side as his fist connected with the side of her face. She rocked on her feet but kept her balance. She turned back to look at him, one hand pressed her to cheek. It hurt a lot, but Stella still smiled.
“What a man you are, hitting a girl.”
Her blue eyes began to shine bright silver, and the hand pressed to her cheek began to glow too. The pain washed away, and the deep red mark the punch had left faded quickly. The glow faded from both her hand and her eyes and her arm dropped back to her side.
“Do you want to try again? Would that make you feel better?”
Her expression was still calm, even friendly. She thought briefly what would have happened if Jun-Bo had been here. That thought made her smile again. Her brother would have sent this boy flying the moment he had spoken so rudely to her. Slowly Stella smoothed an invisible crease from her skirt, her eyes still on the boy.
“Is that all then? If so, we’ll be leaving now. If you bother her again, I will introduce you to some of my other school friends and you can try to hit them. My brother is the first to spring to mind.”
Her tone was still friendly and calm and she again cocked an eyebrow. This time she looked each of the boy’s friends in the eyes. They had stood by while their friend had hit a girl, and they had probably helped tease the girl Stella had defended.
“I do hope we are finished here. I still want to eat lunch before I go back to my freak school.”
Then she crouched down to kneel beside the green haired girl, one hand going to the girl’s shoulder.
“Are you hurt? Can you stand up?”

Re: Bullies! (Stella)
Nothing happened? The boys all looked on with shock to see Stella completely unharmed by the blow! The leader, still with balled fists, advanced another step. His eyes were still narrowed, filled with anger and frustration at the situation. Her words didn't phase him much, except to encourage his anger. But he was the only one; the others had all taken a step back, understanding the situation: they weren't going to win. The leader lifted his fist again, but his lackeys grabbed him and dragged him away.
"Lemme go!" His shouts could be heard even as they rounded the corner. "I'll get you both for this!"
Saori stared up at the girl who had just saved her. No longer were her eyes filled with fear; rather, her whole face was lit up with awe and appreciation. There was even a small smile on her lips. For a moment, she said nothing, only gazed up at Stella happily. This girl had just protected her, and they barely even knew each other! Saori was so happy, her heart was fluttering in her chest: someone had actually treated her like they cared about her!
“Are you hurt? Can you stand up?”
"O-oh! I'm fine!" She nodded a bit, and wiped the tears from her eyes and cheeks as she stood up next to Stella. She had both hands clasped in front of her chest, and she was still looking up at the girl with complete admiration.
"Th-thank you!!" A small giggle escaped her. "I...appreciate it very much..."

Re: Bullies! (Stella)
Stella braced herself as she saw the ringleader step towards her again, not looking away from him. She was not scared of a bully, though she had the idea that in different circumstances she would have been quite nervous. But someone needed her, and while that was the case fear was not going to do her any good.
But the expected blow did not come. Stella watched, her expression detached, as the other boys decided they had had enough and departed, taking their protesting leader with them. In retrospect she regretted antagonising him so. She had not intended to be so cutting, merely to ask them to halt their activities. But there was a more pressing matter to attend to.
Seeing Saori was now standing, and looked to be unharmed Stella rose to her feet again, returning the green-haired girl’s the smile with one of her own as her eyes slowly returning to bright blue.
"O-oh! I'm fine!"
“I am glad to hear it!”
"Th-thank you!!" A small giggle escaped her. "I...appreciate it very much..."
Stella’s smile brightened as she heard the giggle. She was glad the girl had calmed down enough to laugh.
“You don’t need to thank me, really. Let me introduce myself. I’m Stella Midnight. I think we go to the same school.”
Stella noticed the tear tracks on the girl’s cheeks and sighed. The poor thing must have been terrified. Carefully Stella pulled out one of her handkerchiefs from the bag she had left at her feet during the action and offered the square of white cloth to the girl.
“I am sorry those boys scared you so much.” Stella had a sudden thought. “Would you like to have lunch?” hastily, in case the girl felt indebted into doing something she’d rather not Stella added: “I won’t mind if you want to go back instead, really. I just thought you might want to join me for a meal.”

Re: Bullies! (Stella)“You don’t need to thank me, really. Let me introduce myself. I’m Stella Midnight. I think we go to the same school.”
Saori nodded quickly as she heard Stella introduce herself. The two had met very briefly before, one time at the lake; back then, Saori had been scared of her. It made her want to giggle a little; this girl was so kind and caring! Saori wished she could stand up to those bullies just like Stella had...so she smiled up to Stella and gave a small, polite, halfway bow, causing her hair to fall over her face. Shyly, she brushed it to the side, pulling it behind her ear and gazed up at the girl with big eyes, full of innocent admiration.
"I'm...Saori. Nice to meet you." She gave her small, shy smile to Stella. It wasn't surprising to her that Stella had forgotten her; she was used to not making much of an impression... "I..uhhm...we met before.."
The girl's eyes followed Stella's hands to her pockets., as if her every movements were of utmost importance. When Saori was offered the handkerchief, her eyes got even wider, and she lifted a hand to her mouth in surprise. Emerald orbs drifted between the handkerchief and Stella's face a couple of times, before the girl's free hand reached out to take the piece of cloth nervously. Gently, she wiped it over her cheeks to remove the tear stains, before clutching it between both hands caringly. She was so happy to be given something....and by this sweet girl who had saved her, nonetheless!
She grinned up to Stella happily, letting out a small giggle, and then bowed. "Oh, thank you!"
“I am sorry those boys scared you so much.” She shook her head slightly. "N-no, I'm used to --"
“Would you like to have lunch?” Though she was interrupted, she didn't care at all, for the reason she'd been interrupted was much more important than what she'd had to say. Again, her eyes became as wide as saucers as she gazed up at Stella, her face full of amazement and excitement. The more time she spent with Stella, the better the girl got! She couldn't believe she was being invited to spend time with her! Without hesitation, she nodded happily, both arms still clutching the handkerchief tightly to her chest.
"Really? Oh..I...would love to!" Her voice was still as meek as ever, but she didn't seem nervous this time. She simply stood there, gazing up at Stella in awe and admiration, waiting for the girl to lead the way....and when she did, Saori would follow closely, as a baby duckling would follow its mother, still looking up at her savior...
