Calling all Tunare Legends (or old farts...as it were).
Hi.
It's been quite some time. Google is a pretty neat thing. I've browsed some of these threads but it seems like they've been dead for quite some time -- and rightfully so.
Just peeking my head in to try and find old faces in new places. To see where everyone went, and what their sw00ber guild is up to now; be it endless hours in battlefields, harvesting rares for their adept 3s, leveling up their blink tank because utsusemi-ichi is the bomb, or eagerly anticipating mcquaid's latest creation.
Hopefully some of you who remember Hoshkar's happy ass skating away at 1 hp are still alive.
Viva the glory days -- quite a shame they had to pass.

Haha you guys are lame.
Anyways, enough time has passed, lets spill some dirt on the tunare server drama.
Back during the co-op nag/vox kills with the loot council, I was part of the loot council during a vox kill (just a side note, I was the ONLY person on the council that NEVER got a single dragon drop item). That vox kill resulted in the 2nd or 3rd ever mistwalker. I, being part of the "council" said that Edword, the Krieger ranger should get it. I pushed heavily for it and it was awarded to him.

He happened to log in 5 min after vox had died
And some more tunare trivia that only a few people know, the ONLY REASON meldar won our server's necro BotB is because I logged on Nazghal's level 59 necro and @#%$ owned Meldar for 1 hour. I would have won that @#%$ but a 59 necro wouldnt cut it (and quite frankly, I <3 meld so much, I wanted him to flaunt that @#%$). My jedi teachings resulted Meldar tooling the rest of tunare's loser necros. Fear me even after retirement

Did Galiel (sp?) / Darrian whatever his name was really loot Miro's corpse in fear? What was the reason lol

I was grouped with galiel when he looted miro.
I didnt have a clue what was going on as we were in the process of a wipe.
Next thing i know I was accused of the dirty deed.Was kinda funny cause I was'nt there, I was dead and on my way running back.
(If you recall we had to run back often cause of a lack of Clerics in fear) I think the pally rez wasnt invented yet.
Later on it was announced Galiel did it.
Some logs were posted, some emails....etc.
From that rogue who used to pick pockets on the Dragons ...
He got the russet armor for being a narc? cant recall the name. duped stuff, picked dragons before raids...informed sony and got rewarded.
Anyway, Yes he did it. And i think miro was eventually restored.
Fun times.

Kaylum is the rogue you are referring to. He was a basket case, basically stayed at home and played EQ all the time. He actually ordered groceries online wtf. Yea, i know, we all stayed at home and played eq 24/7, but just imagine the time you spent in EQ and times it by 100x. That was kaylum's nightmare.
I think he finally pulled himself out of his depression and moved on. He was a pretty decent dude, just ended up having his whole world revolve around eq and would get all sensitive if people didnt group with him. What a girl.

You dont remember Galiel? He got his kicks from being an ass.
Something funny was when he finally deleted his character, someone recreated the name as a level 1 paladin. Then someone else created a level 1 toon named "everyone".
Back when duels went server wide, "Everyone has defeated Galiel in a duel to the death!"
Various characters were created after that..."yomama"
"anoob"...etc.
Yeah he did it to be a jerk.
Dont you remember the boards spammed with Galiel posts?
side note: I remember grouping with you in cazic.
And Meldar, I grouped with him all over.
Old names stick out, but as we move on, I forget alot of them.
Carran, Teh Thogg, Icarus, Benandar, Uriah, Freekit, Musk, Warspirit, Sutehk, Mzane, Cherlin.
Truly, some very good times.
Not many play anymore.

I never thought Galiel was that annoying, just posted random stuff that made no sense. I found him kind of amusing in a spectator kind of way. Its funny how someone can get a bunch of people riled up.
Anyways, some more tunare dirt.
Stars or was it Tide, its been way to long, im not sure which guild it was but it was one of the euro/asia guilds since I remember being up way too early on a weekend for this. They were attempting the Avatar of War and I think it was after they had a couple of test runs on him before and they had over 80 in the zone. Vae and I were near the arena waiting for them to fail, but Uriah and I had our doubts. We actually thought they might have a chance of downing him.
So Uriah and I decided to slowly creep our forces toward the corner where they were attempting AoW. We were right on the edge of visual range but close enough to where some of their players would start registering our actions. Needless to say, having 40 extra players pop up in data stream created some real lag
some players died
they failed
we tried pulling AoW and got wiped out
so the end result was pretty much nothing
We subsequently killed AoW the next spawn I believe. I think I tri-weilded clerics for that server first

Well, I got a group killed like six times Monday night. They wanted me to pull, I told them I had never been in the zone and hadn't played in 2.5 years, they didn't care.
I think they cared after wipe #6
