Celler Dweller, the shop to avoid... Advice for all.
With the hopes of attracting new people to the hobby in Winnipeg I think this is a topic that should be here for the people just getting into the Hobby.
My advice, avoid Celler Dweller if at all possible.
If you are in a hurry check them for parts but don't wait for them to order anything for you. It will NEVER come in on time (I bet almost everyone here can attest to that one) and you should expect to wait at least 3 times the time frame they give you IF (and that's a big IF) you get the parts at all. Your parts will always "be in the next shippment".
You will pay more for stuff other than trinkets like fuel tubeing etc at Celler Dweller.
Example - A brand new Micro will run you $170 at Great Hobbies ( www.GreatHobbies.com )but last time I was at Celler they were on "sale" for $220. Sure you don't have to pay the shipping at Celler, which would be what about $25 but then again you don't pay PST at Great Hobbies which on a $220 Micro would be about $17. Great Hobbies has never been anything but great for me, they are straight up when parts will take a little while and when they say 5 days it's usually 4.
To sum it up, if you want to look a some stuff or really need some parts and celler happens to have them in stock buy from Celler. If it's not in stock run from the store and order them from GreatHobbies. You'll get the parts sooner and odds are even on cheaper parts you won't pay any more even after shipping.
Anyone else with experience feel free to add it, even if it's only a word to agree or disagree with me.

Yeah, I'm with you guys. I only rely on CD for little odds and ends, and nothing else. For the most part, those guys there are a bunch of has-been losers.

there is a shop in morden, its really good. the guy that owns it actually cares about the customers so he is quite helpful. Not to mention the prices are way less than CD.
