Chapter Eight!
Wheee! Sam's back and Saga's updated! So happy am I!!! Yes, yes!
And I simply loved this chapter. Jall's backstory was just great. ^^ You have a real talent for backstories. I love 'em!! Very very cool. I can see how the whole terrorism thing influenced your story as you were mentioning before that it had, and I like the way you tied in those themes -- blood leading to blood leading to more blood leading to, surprise surprise, still more blood. Very nice the way you explained that in the story without coming across as trying to tell the world outside the story a message. I liked it. And the whole mark of the circle and the X was a very cool detail. Very original. I liked it a lot!!
And you mentioned in the notes at the end, I think, that Islana and Erra's dialogue was hard to write, but that was another part I really liked! I thought it flowed very well, and I could see the tensions that both characters were tied up in. I would never have guessed that was a hard part for you to write, although I also was thinking as I read it what a talented writer it would take to make that scene work so well. I think you did really excellently!
Now that Sam's back I hope we'll see more chapters soon!!
