Character Info: Banth, Kaor
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Name: Banthorya Savatonay, or Banth for short.
Species/Race: Generic Dragon
Appearance: Banth is your average golden dragon: all of her scales (which are tiny but visible) are a warm, golden colour, though she has some vague patterning down her back in a brownish colour. Her eyes are topped by a number of bristly spikes, much like brows, but behind these jut two spiralling (oddly) clear horns. Flowing down her long neck is a mop of silver hair, usually combed neat with sharp talons, but sometimes messed extraordinarily.
Her wings, fully 2/3 extra her ten foot height, are bat-like, with clear sails. These flank her back, from which three rows of walnut brown spikes emerge, all the way to her spade-like, blade-sharp tail. Her slitted eyes are crimson, and often narrowed with negative thoughts.
Talents/Skills: Banth wields fire, through breath and through magical practice. She doesn't use it too often, but when she does... you don't want to be there.
Aside from her natural abilities, she's picked up the talent to shift size. While she isn't adept at this, she has managed to shrink herself all the way down to the size of a moth, oppositely, twice her original size seems to be her max. When doing the first, she releases a lot of heat. It's thought that perhaps she transmits her physical energy into "waste" energy, and sucks this heat back into herself to grow.
Personality: Over the years, Banth has grown into a bitter dragon. She's had some rotten history, but has managed to surpass it. It's left its mark on her, however. When approached by a stranger, she likes to keep her distance, if not physically, then personally. Those that she has made friends with can find her a trial: her moods change without much provocation.
Background: To make a long (and onerous) story short, Banth raised herself, as her ancestors had done, but managed the misfortune of falling into a mage's hands. She was young at the time, and hadn't mastered her own magic, and was chained to this creature for some time. All that it wanted from her was her eggs, her offspring, from which it was going to make more subdued minions. Banth managed to escape after a time, but not before the mage had taken a goodly number of children from her.
She, being herself, couldn't simply run away and stay put. After an unknown time of plotting and scheming, Banth attempted a run on the mage to rescue her children. Not only did she not rescue them, she killed them after blowing up at the sight of her longtime captor. It was probably for the better anyways.
After that she wandered, in a glazed over state. Creatures she met were quickly abandoned, those that hunted her were dispatched without any thought of play.
As time went on, Banth began to shake herself out of things. To this day, she has not yet fully recovered, but she's getting there.

Name: Kaor
Species/Race: black dragon
Appearance: As far as dragons go, Kaor is on the small end of things. Reaching only nine feet at the shoulder, his physical size is inversly related to his mental strength (as well as ego). His wings are feathery, though more like tatty long scales then genuinely feathered. His scales are thin and hairy, resembling something like a soft porcupine.
A quadraped, Kaor's hind legs are massive, while his forelegs are fairly small. It's hard to tell, however, for along these is a thicker, shaggy 'coat', which extends up to the base of his head. His tail is longer than usual, and the tip carries two 'finger' claws, which are semi-dextrous. He has no horns, though he has deer-like ears. A thicker set of scales much like that covering his neck and arms spouts from his head, where hair might be.
Talents/Skills: Kaor's got what a lot of dragon's would call charisma, (which others would call sheer self-serving blabber or ego-centrism), and he uses it to his best benefit. He doesn't quite boss others around, but he has a way of getting others to do things for him. This isn't to say that he's evil; he enjoys helping the occasional dragon in distress (which he's had cause to lately), and he would rather make a friend than an enemy. In the way of magic, he's able to speak-think mind to mind, and while he can reach similar creatures with words, those that are much different usually only respond to feelings or images.
Personality: He's a very outright dragon. He states his mind, he will let someone know when they're doing something wrong and suggest ways to correct it, but he also has some very narrow-minded views. If some one is looking for a fight, then dang nabbit, he's willing to take them on, even if they're ten times his size. He has some interesting sayings, 'kiss my tail and bail' being only one, and has probably used all of them and then some during his stay on Coryn.
Background: Coming from a world where subtle humor along with veiled threats are nil, Kaor was brought up with out any kind of restrain, verbally, anyways. For his species, he was average, both physically and mentally. When, one day, he was transported to the world of Coryn (via a portal manipulating noise), everything changed. He was no longer part of a group, but horridly alone. Soon after his arrival, he was picked up by another creature, this one looking like a cross between a horse and some kind of termite... and with incredibly strong mental powers. The creature brought him back to a village/tribe/pack of various other creatures, some certainly more alike to Kaor than others. This group of people had been gathering others for a long time, and knew how to handle new arrivals such as himself. He was trained to adapt to the new world (even though at first he was more confused than anything) and eventually he managed to find his place with the others. He trained under the 'horsemite' (as he called it, seeing as how its name was too difficult to pronounce) to become a seeker himself. Now he roams Coryn in search of new species and does his best to convince them that joining his tribe would be the best thing.

SETTING DESCRIPTION

(Unakavierde... if you want to you can poke me with a stick and I'll change/remove this... *nods* I'm just mushing things together!)
Name: (tribe-village) Shris
Locale: Small village on Coryn
Open/Mod: open
Physical Description: As far as villages go, think of Shris as a semi-nomadic conglomerate of two seperate sections. Half of the village is delegated to bipeds while the other half is meant for quadrupeds. This system is only for living space, as Shris' inhabitants can and do mingle. While the outer sections of the village are always shifting as creatures come and go, the centre remains in the same space.
Here, at the centre, is a large hearth which always burns hot, and various activities are always going on around it. Surrounding the hearth is a fairly large open space where creatures can fight or dance or feast, depending on the occasion. Nearby this donut-shaped field, on either end, are two barracks, one for larger creatures, and one for smaller ones: both were created to house new arrivals.
Part of Shris overlaps with a patch of jungle which has been tamed enough for use by inhabitants. Browsers eat here, and various tree-dwelling species make this their home.
Surrounding the outskirts of the village, the grass has been mowed short for several hundred metres, both because certain browsers like to eat it, and also for visibility in case of attacks.
Important NPCs: The biped leader: a human, and the quadruped leader: a vaguely ox-like creature. Both get along well together and are tough on the people they lead, if only to spur them to better efforts.
Also a very old wyrm, most likely the founder of Shris, who views all of the inhabitants as his 'hoarde'.
