Child of Love
If the sun didn't shine tomorrow,
I would still own no sorrow
for the rains that would drench my soul
are the markings of one who is whole


I can see the waters running down his arms
the beads of newness ...
rainbow lights...
held in each water drop
reflected from the harvest moon shining boldly
by imitation radiance....

Those arms are the ones that hold me
embraced in a gently, mighty love
that can never be broken, severed, or torn

His hair damp with dew
He looks down at what he holds
It is formed clay within his hands
beating with an eternal heart
Breathed into existence
by sudden wind of the Ancient
That which was not, is now
I, who was not,
AM

His fingers curl over my tightened fist
wearied from the stress and toil
He opens my crooked fingers
.... an open palm
shaken
He places his finger in its center
and with eyes alit
and full of explosive glitter
He does it
TRANSFORMED
by the force of inhibited compassion
I BREATHE
His NEW LIFE
Born from Love
The child of LOVE
