Creatures of Chaos
The dark forces of Chaos are a frightening and unfathomable mystery to the common folk of Moagara. To them it is not important which hideous night terror pulls you screaming from your bed to be devoured by moonlight. They're all bad.

Broo: These barbaric man-beasts are creatures of Chaos through and through. They appear to be normal, if physically very strong, humans with the heads of animals. Elk, wolves, antelope, bulls... no beast is safe from the corruption of Chaos. They are known to be savage, cunning, and very tough. They can see clearly in near-lightless conditions, and shun daylight.

Moldworms: A constant plague in the civilized lands, these semi-intelligent creatures burrow into homes and food stores to lay their disease-ridden broods. Their eggs are small and difficult to detect, yet consuming one often results in illness, madness, or death.

Shadows: Very little is known about these beings. They are believed to be highly intelligent and have a great deal of influence among the Broo, but they rarely show themselves, and never attack openly. They could be malevolant Spirits given physical form, some sort of Undead apparition, or worse, a creature from the Outer Worlds walking among the mortals of the world.

Undead: Necromancy is a forbidden art in Moagara. Only the priests of Yelm and Humakt safely venture into the study of Life and Death energies. Wizards, too, have been known to dabble in such things but it is a short road from necromancy to Chaos, and it always seems to end badly for the Wizard. Among the hosts of Chaos, however, necromancy is given full rein. Human corpses given mindless half-life are the most common result, but more sinister magics with more dire consequences have sometimes risen to torment the Moagarii.
