2) Instead of killing all those skellies, buy MANY stacks of meat from the butcher in Thurg. Then, make friends with a necro with the Flesh-to-Bone AA. I'd take 6 x 10-slot backpacks with me, fill them with stacks of meat, & have my necro friend convert them to 60 stacks of bones in a very short period of time.
This is new to me -- I would definitely look into that. I personally hate losing faction if avoidable, so I wouldn't do the dagger quests cuz of the Firiona vie faction hits. Kurns tower has lots of skeillies to farm for bones as well -- and if you /ooc to do buffs for bones, you can get a lot that way too. I would LOVE to help you on this spearrit, and the website has more questions and answers so have fun looking through the forum. lemme know if and when you need any help -- this is a really nice quest.

you can buy bones from a couple venders now..
They were in the first 4 slots and it was a regent vender..
When I saw it i bought 12 stacks..

Infinite source of bone chips? Wow! You'd think that could change some things, since bone chip quests are common. For example, anyone could get max ally Cabilis faction really fast. And anyone could PL their level 1 character by doing the Butcherblock one.

Started working on faction today. After reading up on those forums you linked, Cikki, I decided that the knife quest might be best. People talk about only needing 6 stacks of knives to max faction (max faction for non-ikkies, btw, is only indifferent. You need illusion potions to get to amiable and do these quests)
Here's a summary of what I've read:
The guys you want to kill are explorers and lead explorers, who inhabit a tower a ways from the NPC who gives the quest. The tower is located at pos1600, pos180 in LOIO, not far from the creek. The guy you hand the stuff in to is an iksar named Trooper Vaurk, who seems to wander around pos4575, neg3100 in LOIO. You give him 4 knives at a time for exp, faction, and 7 silver!!
Note: There is a neg faction hit with FV, Emerald Warrior, and Storm Guard for killing them, so I didn't want to use Spear for the actual killing. I'm using my lvl 30 iksar SK, who kills at just about the perfect speed to keep with repops. I know a number of people can't 2box an evil character, but I would be more than happy to go with you and help out if you need. I imagine Kaaoss and Dim shouldn't have any problems with killing these guys due to the fact that no one likes them anyway, but if Damuun ever needs help I can send in the ikkie! Bok already has good enough faction, if he would get off his arse and start working.
Anyway....back to the subject of the explorers. They have about a 3-4 minute respawn, and drop the knives about 60% of the time, so it doesn't seem bad. I am up to dubious after 28 knives. Here's hoping for better

I am so burnt on factioning, since I just got ally with Chardok, that I decided to get all the skulls first ( or as many as possible ). I was hoping that the illusion potions would get the faction up high enough to start the quests, and that completing each cudgel would give enough faction that then the potions wouldn't be neccessary. And Spear is correct, since the first time I went to FV and barely got to zone before getting killed, I have put ALL of those bigotted bastards on my "gonna kill you one day" list. Them, that biotch in PC that's between camp 1 & 2, Those punks in Innothule Swamp....oh yes......they will all die muahahahahaha

Killing the explorers gives Positive faction hits to Legion.
Turning in the knives(4) gives Positive faction hits to all Cab.
Did about 5 stacks worth of knives last night/ this morning.
Legion is maxed at amiable, everyone else "glowers at you dubiously".

12 stacks gives warmly/amiable to all Cabilis except the Brood of Dizok, who remain complete bastards.

The only way, I know of, to raise Brood faction, is to kill the Iksar bandits and such. I've spent many hours in the caves and am still only dubious. Meaning, Tymmy can't shop in the Necro Guild in Cabilis.

I also only got up to dubious with brood of kotiz - was super annoying when i would smith there, since the only vendor that sold normal flasks of water was on necro faction.

Also, those junk weapons off the mobs in Veksar are for faction too -- turning in 4 give a good faction increase for cabilis i think.

fyi...."undead crusaders" ( in Kurn's ) are related to Raster. Bastards just won't show up.
Update:
My necro was at level 14, took him and Benik to Kurn's tower to get the crusaders...he is now almost 20 and I still need one more skull.
Also, I have a lore skull for you Spearrit, you need a Lore one + 5 non-lore for one of the cudgels.
