Curt Schilling on Sportscenter
Anyone watch it this morning? Schilling was at a press conference talking about steroids in basketball and he's sitting there in an Everquest cap. I knew he was a hardcore EQ player, but didn't think he still played. And I sure as hell wouldn't think he'd sport the cap on national TV. Anyhow, thought it was cool he was wearing it and repping his gamer side.

Well he recently put up a signed Jersey for the LDoN Raid contest or whatever it was exactly. From what I hear, he still plays pretty hard core, so maybe he just wore the hat because he loves the game. Man... hes gotta be happy with his life, gets to play two games he loves.

@#%$ EQ. He's appears to be pitching his best season to date. With 2 new pitches to add to his repetoire. He pitch a gorgeous 7 innings yesterday giving up only a homerun.

SOE is probably too cheap to pay someone to wear their merchandise. At best, they gave him a free month or something.

Anyway, I don't know how anyone could not have lost faith in EQ since the time the story broke that he played EQ.

That story was the only reason I'd ever heard of EQ. It sounded like fun from the way they talked about it, so I bought it.
In Business Week or Fortune in mid-2001, there was an article talking about Curt Schilling's life. I think he'd just signed a huge contract with Arizona, and he was involved with some charity or something. One section talked about him playing EQ with a catcher from the Phillies. It talked about him being a big gamer in the off season.

If it weren't for the Yankees Boston would be a despised money machine. They're closer to the Yankees than they are to the Brewers anyway, that's for sure. I still like Boston, but it bugs me when Boston fans complain about the Yankee's payroll (NOT that anyone in this thread has done that!).

Boston's spending is almost directly linked to Yankees because of being in same division. Now that said, all players are overpayed, all tickets are overpriced, and baseball as a whole needs to realize the average joe is losing interest because he cant take the family to the game without selling a kidney.
