NOT a test...
Dear friends,

How has everyone been? I can't believe an entire thread was completed, and i only reached out about three times to add my voice to yours. Of course i have been busy working, but i apologize for not making time to at least say hi:\

The show is going well, and i am having as much fun as ever on set. Franco has been a challenge and a joy to play, and my mission now (if we are blessed with a third season) will be to add more dimention and texture to my portrayal.

I'm sure i need not point out that the times are troubled as they were when this post board first began, but i hope you all are choosing to Live in Love and not get overwhelmed by the campaign of fear and consumption that is so palpable in this climate of manufactured consent/suppressed dissent.

I wish you all the very best, and promise to be more diligent about staying connected, and letting you all know that you are appreciated and thought about regularly. Thank you all so much for your continued support and interest in my work. I hope it serves.

In the Image of my Creator, i create

Hey Daniel!

It's really good to hear from you. The folks have been here keeping the family together for the most part.

I've been watching the show and you've been blowing me away with your portrayal as Franco. This last episode (Shame) was excellent. I have to admit, I did tear up at the end with you and Caillin.

Other than that, I wish you continued success and I will be watching come Tuesday night. :D

A warm welcome back and a 3:00 AM greetings to all in our fa
Hey Danny,
It's good to hear you are well. You are doing a great job as acting as a "cad" (your word) in the character of Franco. You play him so well that all you see is Franco and not Daniel. Great work, unless you are now Franco off- camera as well. :) I highly, highly doubt it, though.

Back to the word cad and do not forget to check all of your emails. If you don't get the last clue, I will think the Vicodin issue is real. :) . If you have seen Mary tell her I said hello.

Please continue to be the compassionate and inspirational person you are. It certainly strikes our hearts and strengthens us to take ownership of those qualities in ourselves and pay it forward............

What really impresses me the most is not who are or what you have achieved on film, on stage . But I am impressed that with all that is wrong with the world, you display such empathy. Empathy and Sympathy are not exactly the same but they are related. You observe the sufferings of others and in your empathy, you take the world conditions and the people who suffer them personally. Empathic because you make their burden, your burden and you truly, truly feel the pain as they do. Your heart and very core and essence of you can make a tremendous difference in the world. Continue to display these things well and the student will become as wise as his teacher.
Take care of yourself and most important of all guard your heart because one who is sympathetic sees your pain and feels pity or sadness for you. The empathetic one as I stated before sees your struggles, feels so deeply for you that their struggles become yours and an empathic heart is motivated to bring relief and seeks to make change. Change for the betterment of all.

My quick hellos
Just wanted to drop in and say Hi to everyone and hope that your weekend was peaceful and blessed!

Mine was beyond eventful! My nine year old neice had to " break up" with her " boyfriend" thus sending her Auntie into early stroke like symptoms!:rollin A boyfriend at 9!! Boys were still GROSS to me at 9! Times have truly changed!!! But I digress!!!

Daniel- It is wonderful to come on the board and see a post from you. Since becoming apart of the "family" I had not had the pleasure of reading any of your recent thoughts! Knowing how busy you are with RM and probably numerous other activites, thank you for taking the time to share you with us. You come across as a very thoughtful, genuine person and that is rare in a business where " Me first" is the practice!

And as for RM.. let me say that you are doing a wonderful job making Franco more then what he is. Cuz let me tell you.. one minute I want to come find him and slap some sense into him for being who he is ( also slap the women who ALLOW him to act this way).. the next I want to hold him and ease his pain. :rollin So it's a pleasure to watch you shape and mold him into this multi-dimensional character. Someone we can all relate to with his flaws, his fears and his humanity. Plus the show is just funny! LOL!!!

I know we share info and I need to pick a few brains.. ok more then afew.. everyone's!

I'm looking for a talent agent or talent agency here in Chicago and it's like trying to pick up confetti with my eyes closed on a shag carpet!!!:rollin It appears that everyone is focused on LA or New York and left us poor Chicago people to the wolves! Now I'm not quite ready to pack up and move... so would anyone know of any agencies that can work with me from Chi-town and still have resources in LA and New York? IT's difficult for me because I don't know who is trustworthy and who is not ( is there such a thing in the entertainment industry?! Ha!)

I still have a project to shop ( and the CD is burning a hole in my hand HA! I think it is darn good.. just need to make the world sitdown and listen) plus the movie script.

By the by Daniel.. I wrote a part for you in the script.. so if you ever have time in your busy schedule.. I would love for you to read it and give honest feedback! (no strings attahced,.. no expectations... promise)

Anywho I just feel like I am at a stand still right now and that is NEVER good for me! So if anyone has any reputable, legit ( nothing but the best comes from you guys.. I know) please let me know!

As always love you all! Stay Blessed!

Agencies
Hello and well wishes to everyone....
Liquid have you tried the Steppenwolf Theater on Halsted? I am for Chi-town as well and I know that Gary Sinese is very attached to it and makes frequent appearences there. I may be mistaken but I believe his a co-owner. He's is legitimate enough--he worked with Tom Hanks in "Saving Private Ryan". Perhaps somewhere there can either help or point you in the right direction. Every time I visit home it seems as if the Steppenwolf has grown and I'm sure it is becoming more and more reputable in the industry. I remember when they were in a small quaint little place. Once I saw Gary Sinese's name on the marquee as if he were to perform.
Talent and genuine love of the craft seems to be abundant there. Go see a production or two. Feel it out.

If you try it, please let us know how it works out. You know for sure that whole family here is pulling for you.

Go Get 'em LIQUID!!!!

Liquid...
:rolleyes Anything you'd like to send me can be forewarded to my agent Mark Schlegel @ Cornerstone Talent Agency in NYC. You can get their mailing address by calling 212-807-8344. As for dependable representation in Chicago with connections on the coasts...honestly i have not the faintest idea. Sorry for being useless in that regard, but you might want to consider the pros and cons of life on either coast, as locale has a great deal to do with access and opportunity in both musical and theatrical entertainment. Don't get me wrong though, Chi-City is my heart, and has a VITAL arts community...i'm just offering a pragmatic morsel of thought-food as pertains to accessing the larger market:\

Of course, the power of intention is not to be underestimated. Nothing is impossible.

Hey
Shula... I knew I loved you for more then one reason!!:rollin ! Wonderful to know you are from Chicago but sad to admt.. we have to leave here to make a difference!

Thank you for the support and info! I have tapped into Chicago's theatre scene although I will admit..I have not tried Steppenwolf yet! A friend of mine has a small production company and brow beats me everytime to audition and sing! So I do! :) I just need to keep pushing ahead and standing on table tops to be heard.

Either I will get some where or the nice men in the white coats will come to take me away to a life filled with pink fluzzy slippers, cute colorful little pills and chocolate pudding on Sundays! HA!~:rollin I will check out Steppenwolf and let you know!!!!

Gracias.......
for the info Daniel.. or lack thereof! LOL! Just kidding. :) I appreciate you for offering any type of help! You could never be useless when the intentions are good!

As for the leaving Chicago thing, I have thought about it ALOT in the past 3 years of completing the script and working in the studio!! It seems the industry comes here for our buildings and atmosphere and to film the production but never to cast. It's like pulling teeth to get people to listen to me!

Also being a female and the industry execs being mostly male:hat .. I have to be a bit more headstrong to get my point across, still classy.. just more.. ummmm wise! LOL!

"Ummmm.... what does dinner and a hot tub have to do with my music? "No.. I'm sorry, I must have missed reading the article that said you reviewing my movie script in the dark with my shirt off.. would improve my chances of it getting produced!" :rollin Not saying that it would be better in NYC or LA but atleast if you are going to try and treat me like I have an IQ of -2 and I have to act like I'm paying attention for the 5 minutes you have me trapped.. have more connections then.. " My cousin's friend's sister's, boyfriend who sat next to R. Kelly's bodyguard on the train." Alas I digress! LOL!

Many thanks again for the offer to read my work.. I will send the script to you( via your agent) asap ( as I know how busy you must be). If you hate it>: .. please say so! I can handle the criticism and I respect honesty.. rip it up if you must.. just no red pens.. brings back memories of this one English teacher I had in highschool! :rollin I swear that woman had it in for me! So use like pink or something.. ok.. wait.. maybe purple or green.. ok how about I just send you a pen! LOL!?

Just for References:

The title is: The Single Girl's Sorority by Dana C. De Bois!

Be Blessed.. Smile and pray through it!!!

Love you All!

Many Masters.
Just wanted to give a quick shout. I was reading your response Liquid and the thought came to me that in this day and age there are meant to be many geniuses, many masters who influence the world on some deep level through their creative genius. We are living in the orgasm of the culture of celebrity's adoration of itself; now comes the denoumount (sp). In this age we will see a vast democratization of the media through various means, and that process will open doors for this collective genius to manifest more equitably. The inevitable consequence of this evolution will be the death of the star, the death of "celebrity." And this is as it should be. Humanity is slowly outgrowing the need to adore the idol. What flows from that is yet to be determined, and if reality tv is any indication of the long term trend, then the world has never needed you more than it does right now. Live your dreams. Literally. Please.

hi
hi all, hi D, :D :D 8)

expat and freenote, sorry, one of us is in beauty school down in PR, and the other holdin' downt he fort, LOL, get this, in Limenaria and Potos. my greek doesn't even exist enough to say it sux, but the drinks only lemm'e i see your i'ms in thásos, but for the efil of moi, who can reply? sry guys, pix, forget pixx, it's all fun, no cameras.

Liquid/Shula, so yeah, bicoastal definitely works (we collected 38 pages of contacts in film from Brooklyn/NYC alone) and in theater so many off and off-off and offx3; my friends end up producing a lot of their own stuff even as "ensayos" dunno' how to say that in english, maybe "workshops" in high schools and then around jersey/ct/boston/dc and then some where far from b-way, and then Avenue Q, who knew!!?? But so does London and DC, right expat and freenote. Definitely, live your dream, like D says literally, 'cause even though music videos have not changed since the birth of MTV, theater and film do continue to carve out mountainss of new rushing talent. There is, albeit a minority, a community of intellectuals who make enough noise for the rest of the world. Don't you stay quiet now. off to the OPAworld and breakfast, it's 5 a.m. do you know where your children are? fast asleep i hope!! beijos all, somebody say yeah! to this heavenly aegean sea marvel!! luvzya, mhb

Rebel With A Cause
Daniel Sunjata
This was irresistable. First Let me say that I do not intend to offend anybody for I have come to care about each and everyone of you sight unseen as Family.
Back to the topic. Daniel this is poem girl. I just threw that out that so you get some kind of idea of who you were talking to. By the way I answered all of your questions on your other account.
First of all, no one can slave for two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other or he will stick to one and despise the other. I agree, there are many genuises masters (idols) who have influenced the
world . My personal favorite genius? Actually it's a whole group. You know the one that invented the atomic bomb. Or how about that wonderful group of scientists that purposely infected men with syphyllis so they had an actual specimen to study and die slow horrible deaths. But to be fair, Imust commend the group of genuises who came up with a cocktail of drugs that helps sustain and give a quality of life to HIV patients. But then we have the other group (by the way, they are totally not genuises because their fearless leader's favorite book is "The Hungry Little Caterpillar. Quite shocking isn't it considering this leader's wife is a librarian) Isn't that ironic (quote ref. Alanis Morrisette). Anywho, this particular group, who is the most powerful in the world make sure that these drugs are not affordable in this country. They make sure that those poor little babies in Africa and now India don't have access though there is plenty enough to go around. Did I forget to mention that sweet elderly lady on 7th street who eats cat food so she can afford her blood pressure medication and she has spent her whole life working like a slave for very little in the richest cosesntry in the world. I also love that group of genuises who eradicated polio here but for some reason our machine won't allow that to help people in other countries where it's making a comeback.

As far as creative geniuses I don't know much more than the Harlem years and all the glory that lead to even up to the civil rights era. ( I'm assuming this is the kind of creative genuises you mean). If I"m wrong let me know.

I, as my Mom would say T-totally disagree about the death of the star , the death of the celebrity. Humanity is more than ever worshipping those they have deified. They love to make stars and then destroy them with the slightest bit of anything ridiculous thing that could happen to anyone of us . We chew gum. Britney Spears' gum sold for thousands on ebay. People are having plastic surgeries to look like their favorite stars. Devout followers. With each cut of the knife, they emulate and become more idolaterous than ever. Is Elvis and Tupac really dead? Hey, what's that Madonna's drinking? Kabbalah water? Well, even if it is just tap water give me some because Madonna has it and throw in one of those little red string bracelets. Change religions like underwear if their star does it. Why not? It's trendy. And that's what is most important , right?
Oprah can make you rich and famous overnight even if you are not very creative but it's in the Book of the Month Club. Tom told people to put away their psych drugs a vitamin because he was definite because he was thoroughly versed in the history of psychiatry and it's fake. Doesn't work. Tell Russell Crowe when he did such a great job in that movie that portrayed in actual person in "A Beautiful Mind" and if he actually knows anyone who has suffered mental illness but yet he has no medical credibility and many people will do it, get sick just because Tom #1 Box Office star in the world said so. Witness the power of celebrity.

Has anyone tried pimp juice, yet? How many bling, bling crosses do you own and haven't been to a in a church, if ever. Just one of those gaudy pieces of bling could get a family or two of the street. They should understand. That's makes it worse because they grew up in the same projects with nothing. They have worn those shoes well but now they own a sneaker collection that requires a whole room to house. Hey, the world buys them as artists and creative because they create the green stuff. The machine with the green stuff controls everthing we see and hear. And sadly, you have to admit it's mostly about celebrities. And when that popularity starts to wane do Play boy and that will keep in the spotlight for another 15 minutes, until the next stunt. Have you noticed that all the movies are made by the youngest, prettiest thing you can find? Or rappers have decided to be a double threat. Any creativity there? No just green. It'a sad when it takes a miracle to get The Color Purple and Amistad made. And how on earth did Eminem get a movie about his life before Ray Charles? You see Daniel, some people just crave attention. They get drunk and say let's do something crazy like get married and divorced within hours because it was fun, let's go to Grammy's naked because after all sex sells. If that isn't enough to keep your attention and sex is your thing I'll do a spread in PlayBoy will give my parents a heart attack. And get 30 minutes.Society as a whole has a insatiable desire to idolize the machine's glamourized products. We must know what's up with Brangelina and Bennifer. Who cares about innocent people losing their lives every day in war, in famine, treatable diseases and genocide . Do you have any idea how precious blood is to God? It's precious because it represents life, his greatest gift to man. So we spill buckets and buckets of blood because that man in the really big white house said so and who cares if we allow man's imperfect, judgemental, and arbitrary commands supercede what the Creator has made sacred law. I hope those creative genuises can make change that is desparately needed. But always know an artist in an any form is always successful (strikes a chord within someone) when there is an appreciative audience who can the learn and outgrow those imperfect idols of adoration. People are now famous just for being famous (rhymes with Harris) and have immense power to bring about change because some people hang on her very words. Her cause is not yours and the celebrity frenzy will never stop. They killed Princess Di chasing for a picture? Why has her life been taken? The machines dispenses hundreds of thousands of cash for a photo of a face we have seen a million times. Ignoring the potential consequences of their actions. Someone was shot trying to get pictures of Spears. Life being wasted. Celebrities being stalked by people have literally done criminal things to get close to them. Watch out Daniel, you're almost being groomed to be the next god (idol) Of course, none of us. :) The industry has almost
left creativity. You guys are greatly out numbered. Celebrity will never die because a lot of them idolize themselves and if it's not them, the adoring, adolatrous, slaves of the wrong master will happily oblige. There's a scripture that says that creation venerates and renders sacred service to the creation rather than to the One who created.

Always use this as your sign off In the Image of my Creator, i create. It helps us all to always rememeber our Creator and remain humble before Him.
Not everyone has your heart. Not everyone appreciates their craft as beautiful expessions that teach, gives joy, and relays how you and we feel and it's power to make change.. Not everyone is going to get it because someone always has to be the biggest fish in the pond. Power hungry machine manufacturers.

You're such a geniunely good person. I thought it when I first met you and I'm so glad none of me rubbed off on you like some of my friends who are incarcerated as we speak. :)

PS- did my home work on th axis. That is for another day because I have many questions.

Rebel With A Cause
Dear Shulammite,

Empathy:
You must have been reading my mind! (I wrote this when your first wrote it, but then forgot to post it…) I was coming to work this morning and trying to figure out what single thing would make life so much better for all of us and I came up with “empathy”. I used to think that "love" itself was enough but with love we're treading on dodgy waters... What does it really mean? And as human being can you truly love everyone unconditionally? Of course not...

But empathy is one that we can work on. We owe our survival to that distinctive human trait. Our ability to put ourselves into somebody else's shoes, help them and help ourselves in the process.

If we felt empathy for all our brothers and sisters around the world and truly wanted to help them then we would readdress the balance. What this would mean is probably giving up some of our luxuries and I must admit I don't know if I'm ready yet. If we could at least, make sure that there is more free trade then maybe, that would be a start.

We seldom ask why people would blow themselves up but oftentimes it is out of desperation. We are humans and on that basis, we have the same basic needs and the lack of, drives people towards extremism.

9/11 came and went and we had an opportunity to look deeper as to "why" it happened? Instead we bombed Iraq and look where we are now...

Hiroshima remembered their dead last Sunday and it was heartbreaking and I still wonder why the US did not go to court for “crimes against humanity” and Japan is asking us to get rid off our nuclear weapons. We should really. Do we really want to vaporise other human beings once more?:x

Celebrities:

A British writer recently pointed out that we had become “frivolous” and were more worried about trivial things like the way we look and which celebrity is doing what and more preoccupied with reality TV than human misery. So the more we become involved in trivialities the less we become involved in politics etc…

Our greatest challenge is not letting this terrible feeling of powerlessness overcome us and keep believing that yes, one day, it will be much better. Well, that is my challenge anyway. |I

Negativity:
A new version of the Oxford Dictionary out today contains 350 words to hurt someone’s feelings and just 40 to praise it. This is where our revolution should start my friends. The good people of this world (yes, of course, that is US, beautiful people!!) and the writers on this board should readdress the balance. So I will start with using the ones I know… My beautiful, sensitive, positive and incredibly talented friends…. I LOVE YOU!!! :D ;) :rollin

Maya,
Don’t worry I know what you’re going through. I’m ever so thankful for your constant praise and encouragement. I feel so happy to be your friend… MWA!:D

Liquid,
My advice to you, actually I should call it an idea because what works for me might not work for you… Anyway I used to be focused on writing my screenplays and that alone really. And then one day, someone called me to write a “sting” for him. I didn’t even know what a sting was. It’s basically a short scene to introduce a documentary/drama etc… for TV. I wrote a sting for him and quite frankly, it was a similar approach albeit challenging as it was so short. It was fun and he has kept my number for future reference so you never know what could come out of it. Don’t knock it till you try it, right?? (Oh my goodness, how full of clichés, am I??) :\

Just because
My 9 year old neice has stated clearly, that she wants to be a Playboy Bunny when she gets older. When I was 9 I wanted to be Jem from Jem and the Holograms because she had pink hair and could play the guitar. So do we blame the half naked women in the videos, the rappers who hold casting calls looking for the biggest rump.. or do we blame the parents who, instead of spending time with their children.. plop them down in front of a screen to teach and raise them?

Why is it a 4 year old can do Beyonce's bootie dance and sing all the words to "Crazy In Love" perfectly.. but doesn't know her ABC's and can't even tell you who our current President is!?

Is it because they have taken God out of the schools, the world , our hearts? When did we start letting soo many people into our homes? Be it through Television, radio, video games.. etc. My parents controlled our house and God lead them. My grandmothers were old school " Big Mommas" and when I played outside.. I was watched by the Block.. not left to run wild! If I did wrong on the Southside of Chicago..I got my butt beat all the way back to my grandmothers, then got it from her THEN when my father found out.. I wish they would have finished me off!:D I learned Never to do that again! I didn't talk back, I didn't roll my eyes.. and I prayed before every meal and before I went to bed. So has life changed or have we just removed all the morals and values from it? As long as blood runs through our veins.. we will find somethng more important to idolize then God, Family and love. Money will always be a driving force to have it and to keep it. Single mother's will struggle, parents will work two and three jobs to make ends meet and in the end.. who will watch the children? Thenselves.. they raise themselves! All in the hopes of keeping up with the Jones'! We put false idols in front of them and then expect them to make the right choice with no one around to guide them. We let them go to basketball games and concerts but won't make them get out of bed and go to church on Sunday. We let them sleep because they are too tired from the party on Saturday! So how long do we let our children sleep?

I have been called Mutt, half breed, beautiful, stuck up, conceited, ugly, and weird. And through it all no one ever took the time to know my name. But if I make a video wearing daisy dukes, blonde weave and a cathcy beat.. selling millions of records and plaster my made up face all over the city...they will shout my name from the rafters!!! Do I want the fame... yeah alittle.. who doesn't crave and want attention.. it's just to what extent and how bad I want it and what I'm willing to do to get it! Do I need the money?.. Please I would jump for joy over 40 dollars right about now! :rollin Do I want to be a mega star and forgo the life I have now? I'd settle for seeing my movie on the big screen.. writing and singing my songs and in the future being able to buy a house to grow old in when I find the man I am to marry and start a family with ( or he finds me;) )

The word Celebrity is one we created to simply mean better then the rest! But is it really? When you can't walk down the street without a bodyguard, when you have to call ahead to close down a store so you can shop. when you can't leave a building beause it is surrounded by " adoring fans" who only want a piece of you as a keepsake! Is it all worth it? We have systematically removed God out of our lives and without something to hold on to and believe in.. we turn to the next best thing.. television. We uphold stars because their life APPEARS to be better then the hell we go through everyday. They represent that fantasy of hope of " One Days." That's why we are soo anxious to watch " How I'm living" or MTV Cribs. I want to go inside.. I want to see how they live! THEY are you.. just with more money and media coverage. No better.. no worse! When our little girls look on a magazine cover and declare " I want to look like her!" Who is there to tell them " Sweetie.. SHE doesn't even look like that!" We have men and women DYING to look like a celebrity.. to have the perfect abs or butt or arms! Something we ALL could obtain if we had a personal trainer, a private chef and all the time and money to do it! But we don't.. we drag ourselves out of bed at 5 or 6am.. to work behind a desk all day.. to hopefully grab something that resembles food for lunch.... go home and deal with our family!

We put on rose colored glasses and watch reality shows and mini series like they are documentries instead of entertainment! We sit there and say " I wish THAT was my life." Instead of working to make what we have better! We tune in and zone out, until the alarm buzzes tomorrow morning! Taking the fantasy and eating it up as fact with a 14k gold spoon.

I laugh.. I cry.. I think but when it comes down to it.. I get up turn the TV off and you leave my life and home. I'm not still sitting around your living room when the show is over and I PRAY you aren't in mine! :rollin . I'm just one woman with a gift given by God trying to share my Father's work with the world. I don't want to be placed under a microscope and picked apart ( that has been done my whole life just without the cameras). I want to simply just be.. who I am.. who I was created to be.

My music.. my words.. it is all I know inside and have been inspired by heaven to put down on paper. I don't want to impress you.. only to speak to your heart. I want to make you laugh and yeah sometimes cry. I don't want to move you to spend your money on beats and a dance tune.. but to hear something true in my words! None of us who choose this path are safe from the " machine" of fame and fortune.. sooner or later it will either catch you up or roll right over you.

It's the person it leaves behind that counts! Am I strong enough to keep plunging head first into this world that doesn't care about me? No.. but my Father is! And as his child he holds me close when I cry. I can't change what people don't want to let go of.. but I can give them another option.. another perspective and Pray they see the God in me enough not to want to wear the clothes I buy or wear their hair like mine; yet see the soul I carry and the love I give and wear that in God's honor instead.

We use rose colored paint, to cover the wounds that have not healed! We ignore the ugliness and search for the beauty. As they say.. you remember the rose and never the thorn. I think that if we truly removed all the layers of our world.. we would be faced with the true monsters we are.

Hope and Despair

Hope and despair are bedfellows at best, each pull at your soul rendering no rest.
Hope brings you joy and the promise of a new day, Despair creeps in and gleefully steals it away.
Hope grants visions of a happy peaceful life; Despair weaves nightmares of agony and strife.
Their battleground, the heart and mind of one who dreams. They toss and turn, and leave you adrift on an emotional sea.
The prize; each one wants possession of. It is not money, jewels or of a material love. It is a far greater reward, one none can truly see. It is the being, the thought, the existence of ME!

Maybe I am still naive and simple but my heart has carried me this far and I'm too old to change now!

Thank you all for inspiring me in your own way Shula, Serene, Maya, Divine, Star and Daniel. You are truly an extended part of my family! ( If I missed anyone.. I know you by spirit if not always by name!)

It is a small thing to share a smile or kind word with those you do not know but a great impact on the heavy heart and soul that receives it!

Be blessed!

Love you all!!

Re: Just because
Good morning my family; it is such a pleasure to wake up to the "voices" of you all and listen to your hearts speak. It starts a day out with a pep in your step. Liquid don't feel bad, while you were getting beat all up and down the SouthSide, my butt was kicked all up to the North Side includung Michigan Ave. and the Loop. Between the two of us, we got good old-fashioned butt beating covered in all o Chi-town f.:rollin

Expat--Thank you so much for mentioning the Hiroshima Anniversary. Another terrible time we should have learned from. But here we go again......
Did you all know that during that war they rounded up all of the good hard working innocent Japanese American citizens and they placed them in our version of concentration camps. It was no Club Med, either. It was racial profiling at it's worst. They seized most of their possessions and when they decided to let them loose, they had start over and of course drink from the ugly cup of racism and humiliation.

It broke my heart when they showed pictures of what they were doing t Iraqi prisoners, the naked pyramid and Guatanamo Bay. Most are innocents and of course the Western world believes they should set them free and force them into what and how this country thinks they should live. Live as we do with no sense of values or morality and all the while most of our religious are as corrupt but supposedly are superior to Islam. They forced the Iraqis to do humilating, shameful sexual things, and nakedness they all in fun. Fun for who? American soldiers actually had sex in front of them. Spat on and burned their Holy Books and spurned what they considered as trash and inferior to the Christian Holy Bible which condemns everything they did, said and how they treated those people. And with these despicable acts we maintain that we our superior. What God (master) are they serving that teaches them to disrepect the way others who choose to worship in their way and force them to do things completely against their beliefs----just for fun. Animalistic behavior. Whenever there is a terrorist attack or any conflict, all we hear is how many Americans died, blah, blah, blah. I don't care about how many Americans died!! I care about how many humans you are going to continue to sacrifice to whatever and whoever your master, idol, or god is. The god of War. My heart bleeds for every life lost there. Like I said, the machine tells us what they want us to hear and they will spin it until you are dizzy enough to fall of the planet. Remember I think her name was Jessica Lynch or something. The female soldier that was rescued. Remember how the governmental machine fed the media machine it's version of what happened. They painted her as this fierce superhero who with a broken leg and more enough bullet holes to make 50 cent jealous and look like 1 cent. They gov't. machine paraded her through the media machine and she had more exposure and press conferences to reinforce in our minds that we are there, better , and watch us prove it. I applaud her because as soon as it died down and she tried to clean it up beforehand---she said the machine's version was far less dramatic than what really happened. She was hurt, imprisoned, an Iraqi man risked the lives of not only him but his family and told the soldiers where to find her. Okay, I know you guys want at least a little drama--the good guys ( America) simply came in and basically like a Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon, untied her from the railroad tracks and brought her back. She wrote a book about how the machine spinned it to look like an Oscar winning movie and the media machine ate it up. Meanwhile, all the dirty things being done we would have never heard of if modern technology like cameras in cell phones hadn't put those pictures around the world. Then the machine blame game got started, fingers were pointed because you can not make our eyes see what you want them to see. At this point they are wondering how can they create the NEO Matrix effect asif it really isn't real but our image is being tarnished because we got caught forcing the prisoners to try to sodomize one another. Remember now, this is all in the name of fun because we are superior and this is how we play the game. With rules we made up that sets up every other opponent involved for failure. I would like for all the baby American soldiers to come hold and sit and their mothers laps and make peace for themselves. I'm not old but every dead soldier looks barely weaned. Just babies. How is that different from forcing the young African boys in tribal wars to be given guns and kill or be killed? I want every Iraqi at home safe with there families with the basic needs of decent homes, clean running water, food, peace and life. I want every soldier around the world to put down their weapons and become ambassadors of peace.

The celebrity thing again. I was thinking of how ironic that what is being idolized has been molded rom the twisted minds and hands or imperfect men. Almost every celebrity has been "made over" with a new image to make them more appealing to the masses so the green stuff keeps coming. What our society adores and worships is a facade. They made Whitney the girl next door, they made Britney the innocent Catholic schoolgirl, they did a great job of keeping a hold on the whole Tom Cruise image, but now we see the real one because he fired the publicist who mastered him like a puppet so the fan base would be even more enamored. They change their names. Annie Mae Bullock grew up and became Tina Turner, Thomas Cruise Mapother became Tom Cruise, Marshall Mathers is now an M and M. And Daniel Sunjata Condon became Daniel Sunjata. Doesn't that sound sexier and more appealing? Sorry D. Had to take the shot. But, in your solid
defense, you are not a mimic, a puppet, a fabricated image---you cool with me.
Celebrities are normal but we will suffer anorexia, bulimia, and self hatred because we are not a size 2. Anybody happen to see Being Bobby Brown? I know it's not artsy but I love to see Whitney without her prom dress and hair all askew. That's how I look when I wake up. I don't look like Halle til I get my face on:b Celebrities are being churned out of the machine like Stepford Wives as we speak. Stylists, make-up artists, hair person, body guards all awaiting to perpetuate the sorry scam. The irony is , I have no problem with the real Britney, if she wants to eat Cheetos and walk around in flip flops fine, I do it. Whitney, au naturel, has issues but nothing that I can't relate to and I hope she is healthy soon. And believe or not the machine produced them as well. Sometimes people don't feel like dressing up, being painting, smiling when they are not happy, wearing heels when they wish they were in flip flops eating Cheetos. That machine creates them and then when they fall out of character because the machine has driven them to insanity because they have lost themselves, the machines get the green on the tabloid side. Everyone has a right to privacy and I'll put my head on it that if we met all of them as they really are, not the Ken and Barbie version, we would like them even more.

Daniel, the celebrity syndrome will never die because even on what you call the "reality" shows, these people are next in line for their next big break. There will always be someone willing to dance with the machine. They will never allow reality shows to be used as tools for good and change. That's not entertaining enough. We want blood, cursing, and sex. These things bring in the high ratings and the green stuff. If there ever is a reality show that can address real issues, I would be shocked. They used to have those. Phil Donahue but the big O pushed him off the ratings map. Now, we have Dr. Phil for realistic issues (sic) and young drunk, horny, promiscuous, but always attractive people (the machine don't like ugly) swimming in cow intestines, lying in beds of maggots and eating sheep's eyeballs for money. Reality? Who's version?

Sheesh, I'm starting to rant like Denis Leary and I'm not even a chain smoking really stressed out Irish guy.

I am in no way condemning anyone and what their beliefs are. I don't agree with war but I do appreciate the under pinnings of what makes people go to war. In actuality, it's an expression of love and protection of those they believe should not be oppressed or inequal in any way. It is sort of noble in a different way. I don't like the fact that people are losing their lives and people in general have become so de-sensitized to violence and the sanctity of life that our culture is now saturated with violence and debauchery so much so that it's even creating the green stuff in the video games for children with porno inside it.

Okay, I'll be quiet now.

Love you all.
