Deep Flight ((ISO a friend/preferably another Quidditcher))
The wind was in her face, causing her long blond hair to billow out behind her. Her blue eyes watered with the force of her own speed, but she refused to slow down as she practiced tricky manuevers one after the other. It was quite clear that she was uneasy-she had never expected to be Quidditch Captain, especially not against such wonderful competition, and it frightened the hell out of her. Steph Martin wasn't used to being anything but the best, and she was so scared of failure. This year they had to be the best-she had to be the best.

Another blonde sped around the pitch, trying to catch up with her close friend, as well as Quidditch captain. "Hey, Cappy!" She shouted out, while speeding up on her broom. The voice was sweet, yet seductive, revealing that it was Haley Davis; a Gryffindor Chaser. The blonde cut a corner, and flattened herself on her broom, so that she would be flying directly next to Steph, which she now was.
"It's definitely gunna be a great Quidditch year; lotta competition, but ya know good Ole' Gryffy's gunna come out on top. Poor Chris...He's gunna piss himself when he loses." She said, confidently.

Steph grinned at Haley's comment-how much would the blond captain love to just royally kick her friends arse? Between him, Ben, and Bryan, she had a lot of tough competition, but she had every intention of her team handling it-they had better be able to handle it, after all. She was going to train them to be the toughest, the smartest...
"Ha-we'll have to be sure and have a camera then, huh?" Steph said mischieviously, her mood instantly lifted by her fun friend.

Haley giggled, glad to see that Steph had been cheered up a bit. "Yeah, totally! Maybe even a video camera, so that we can repeat him peeing himself ova and ova again!" She said, cheerly, while laughing a bit. The thought of Chris's amazement when Gryffy comes out on top in Quidditch rankings was...was...HILARIOUS!

"I almost feel bad for our new players... I don't want to scare them to death, but there's no way in hell I'm losing to Chris. Or Ben. Or Bryan. I just have so much I want to prove to everyone, you know? And all my brothers lost when they were captains... I just want to be the one to come out on top for once," Steph said, shrugging.

Haley nodded, while steering her broom away from the Ravenclaw stands. "Yeah, I totally understand that. There's no way in hell I would wanna lose to them, either. Especially Ben...Well, just because Harvey; my twin bro, is a chaser on his team, also. And with the triplets; we'll show them that they didn't win because they didn't have women power as the team captain...Same thing with Chris, Bry, and Ben. " Haley agreed, confidently. Sometimes it seemed like the blonde was a bit over-confident, though.
"Damn...windsprints. Hard crap right there...But I gotta admit, I love 'em." She said, teasingly.

"You ladies sound a little TOO confident," came in the sing-along voice of Bryan Cade, who was riding upon a newly bought broom, a Canadian-made "Maple Leaf Gust," popular for its acceleration and smooth handling. He shrugged his shoulders and was about to add to that, when suddenly, he then pointed out twenty feet above in the air, where his best friend, Chris Strike, was sweating himself to death, while a bunch of blocks were around him.
Standing on his broomstick around the giant bricks levitated up by a small force field within them magically, he stood with his eyes closed for a moment, as then two bricks began to open up, shooting out Bludgers from within them, that came up in the air and immediately darting towards the Brazilian. Chris' broom then began to move around very fast, letting the Bludgers crash against the center block and get sucked back into it. Then three random blocks shot out Bludgers, and forced him to go up in the air to avoid them, one of them still hot on his trial.
Bryan sighed. "Damnit, why does he always get the fun toys?" he muttered to himself, wondering if he could escape two out of three Bludgers coming straight at him, how could a Beater possibly hit him out of the sky.

"Oh, bloody hell," Steph grumbled under her breath. Normally she was pleased to see her friends, but right now she just wasn't in the mood. She eyed the contraption they were using with an amused sort of look.
"Well, I don't see any reason not to be," Steph said with a shrug. "I mean, all the toys in the world can't help if your teams don't have as much talent," she added with a shrug of mock innocence.

Haley grinned at Steph's comment, and nodded to it. She raised an eyebrow, innocently, and then laughed. "And you guys should know, many of our Gryffy's this year have a TON of talent. And guys, a ton is a whole lot more than what you both wish your teams could have." She teased, with a innocent look on her face.

"But yet...you say that without even seeing our newly-formed teams," said a very tired voice, standing on his broomstick right behind Stephanie and sweating to death. Somehow, he still managed the words. "You Gryffies have the talent, I know that too well...but I don't think you ever bothered to see my team's talent yet."
"Remember ladies...KNOW thy enemy," he added, before darting away towards the ground, where his toys were not stationed at. Meanwhile...Bryan sighed.
"Sheesh...he's been all that serious ever since Toni dumped him," he said, looking at his best friend pitifully. "And knowing that blockhead, he'll probably be wasting his time doing either this or studying to get her off his mind..."

Haley looked down at Chris, he really did look depressed. "Okay...Bryan, there's something I need to tell you." She said, before sighing. "I think you should talk to Chris about Toni...'Cause I don't think she's over him either. At the end of last year there was a huge letter magically enlarged and floating in the Great Hall, that apologized to Chris, and how Toni wished and wanted another chance. " Haley told him, sincerely.
"I saw it, and so did a lot of people, but I guess the most important person, Chris, didn't see it. Tell him to visit Ian or something." She suggested, with a smile. She then turned to Steph.
"A ton of interest is an understatement." The tall blonde chaser teased.

"At least it sounds like someone around this castle knows how to apologize," Steph grumbled to herself, hearing Haley's comment to Bryan.
"Oh, gosh, I've only heard how good some of them are, but if they're half as good as they say...." Steph chuckled, thinking of the tryouters.

Bry gave Steph a look, one that demonstrated defensiveness. "And uh...what the hell did I do?" he asked, having heard her small little grumble to herself.
"Besides, Chris finished finals earlier and bagged his little Brazilian behind back to the forest two weeks before school ended for all of us," he then said, now directing himself to Haley. "The fool...if we only had known..."
