Depression (Open)
It was late at night, as Datu returned to the school. This night wasn't what he expected. It seemed that every day was getting worse for him since he came here. He looked down on the ground as he walked towards the dorms. Sakura wouldn't understand his sadness right now....Who would, anyways? He felt as if he was being pulled away from his friends...farther and farther......

"Why the hell did I choose this path?" he whispered. His extremely sad expression could be easily seen at first glance.

Re: Depression (Open)
"Y-you seem troubled. You don't know me, but... I... I'm not sure what I can do to help you, but... if you want, I can... Well, maybe you could talk to me about whatever is bothering you? You don't have to if you don't want to; I just... you just look like you need someone to talk to."

Hitomi was sitting in the grass under a tree when she saw a boy around her age enter the quad. It was pretty late at night; why would he be awake at this hour? Better yet, why would he just now be returning to the school? The answers to these questions were probably none of her business; after all, one could just as easiliy ask what she was doing in the quad so late at night.

Since it was quite chilly out, Hitomi wore a black sweater, a long navy blue skiry reaching her ankles, and had her socks loose and rather bunched up at her ankles. The words "Love is a light that illuminates the darkness of the heart" were embroidered on the front in pale white Japanese symbols (Since Japanese was her first language, it only made sense).

He looked at the girl for a moment, and looked down at the floor again. He wasn't in the mood to talk, but then again, he really needed someone to talk to.

"Thank you for your concern.." was as much as he would say for now. Because no one else would give me some concern.... he thought. He looked back at the girl.

"I guess I do need someone to talk to.."

Re: Depression (Open)
Hitomi noded and walked towards him, a caring and concerned look in her seemingly bottomless sapphire eyes. It was actually rather strange; Hitomi had no clue who this person was, but she seemed to care about him and help him in any way she could. The fact that they were complete strangers to one another didn't seem to matter to her.

"My name is Hitomi. What's your name?" she introduced. If the two wee going to be conversing with one another, it only seemed right to know eachother's names.

Datu didn't get why she cared so much about his issues. Guess it comes out of sympathy... He looked back up at her, and saw that she was walking towards him.

"My name is Hitomi. What's your name?"

Datu looked back down for a while before answering. He closed his eyes for a few seconds, then finally answered.

"Datu."

"I-I know that this probably seems rather strange, I mean, a complete stranger just coming up to you and trying to help you like this, but... Well, you just looked like you really needed someone to talk to and......... I... I just thought that maybe I could, well," Hitomi looked down at the ground; she was getting all mixed up and probably didn't make much sense to Datu. She took a deep breath before continuing speaking.

"I could tell that you're feeling depressed and I want to do anything I can to help you feel at least a little bit better because, well, no one should have to be so depressed or unhappy. I guess I just can't help myself; whenever I see someobe upset, I just want to do anything I could for them," she finished. A breeze came through the quad, causing her hair and her skirt to flow in the wind. Hitomi stayed quiet, waiting for Datu to say something.

Datu looked at her, a little bit confused, but comforted at the fact that someone actually cared about his issues. He looked at her for a moment, then spoke.

"I don't know why you care, but......thank you. No one's actually came up to me like this before."

"I don't know why you care, but......thank you. No one's actually came up to me like this before."

"You're welcome," she replied simply as she gave him a warm smile. In truth, she wasn't sure why she cared so much either. It probably just came from her desire to help anyone that needs it; nobody realy knew where she picked up that trait, but she felt it was a good one to have.

"If you don't mind my asking, why were you so depressed?" she asked him, hoping it would't kill the semi-positive mood floating in the air.

Datu looked at her, then down at the floor again. How could he explain it to her....? Well, it feels good to let out your feelings. But he didn't want to reveal everything. Maybe just a little bit....

"I don't know, but.....I think I've lost a friend.."

He looked back at her again. Why did Sakura care so much about his private things? He wanted to be friends with her, but if she keeps poking around the things he wants to keep private to himself, there's no choice...It was hard, but it's dangerous to make friends with people trying to pry open the secrets of the world and beyond. He clenched the box where the beautiful necklace was stored in, it was going to be a present for her. It's as if the whole world was against him...

Re: Depression (Open)
((Sorry for taking so long to reply; I've been really lazy about posting lately. Also, who's Sakura?))

"I don't know, but.....I think I've lost a friend.."

Hitomi looked at the ground instead of giving a reply. She wasn't quite sure exactly what he meant by 'lost a friend', so she went with the assumption of death. She herself had never really had friends growing up, unless you count her mom. She thought about all the people she was meeting here and the friends she had made thus far; if anything were ever to happen to them...

"Oh... I--I'm sorry," she said, although it probably sounded more like she was mumbling rather than giving a sympathetic reply. She could only imagine just how messed up he probably felt inside. She decided to change the subject; Datu obviously didn't want to go into detail of his current situation and poking around in his private affairs wasn't what he needed right now.
