Digimon Fansubbed
Hey guys. I recently found some fansubs of Digimon on the net. If you don't know what a fansub is its where someone takes the original language of a show (In this case Japanese) and puts these subtitles one the bottom of the video that display what the characters are saying. This lets you find out what the show was like when it was originally made. You do need to be able to read kind of fast to get it but you can always stop the playback and go back if you miss something. They are distributed as avi files.
To play them you will need [url=www.divx.com/divx/play/]Divx[/url] and [url=www.xvidmovies.com/codec/]Xvid[/url] installed to play them (they're both free).
If you have a high speed internet you can download them using [url=www.bittorrent.com/]Bit Torrent[/url] or [url=www.mirc.com/]mIRC[/url] (again, both are free), I'd recommend Bit Torrent because it's so much easier to use.
If you choose Bit Torrent you just install it (and reboot if necessary) and go to [url=torrents.wpp-fansubs.com/]WPP's Bit Torrent Page[/url] and look for the downloads you want.
If you choose mIRC you first install it of course (and reboot if necessary) then go to WPP's [url=www.cyberdramon.com/wpp/h...l#ircstart]help[/url]
section and it explains how to set up the program and all (it's a bit complicated).
If you do not have broadband but have a CD-ROM drive in your computer you can request to have them mailed to you at the price of the disks there recorded on plus shipping. They can be either CD Rs or DVD Rs. Info on that [url=shadow.dragoneye.ca/wpp/v...c.php?t=13]here[/url]. They can't play on a DVD player because they're just data disks but you can play them on your computer as media files. You still need Divx and Xvid to play them so be sure and ask for them to be included on the disks if you can't download them to the computer you're going to play them on.
If your wondering who fansubbed them it's these guys called [url=www.cyberdramon.com/wpp/]Wolfpack Productions[/url]. At the time of this posting they have episodes 1-6 if Digimon Adventues subbed, 1-13 of Digimon 02 subbed, 1-3 of Digimon Tamers subbed, and all of Digimon Frontier subbed (although because it was their first project the first few episodes have are somewhat low quality, hopefully they will re-release these some day). They also have all of the movies done (actually a few of them were done by another group called 3-Guys but WPP offers them through thier bit torrent page and mIRC channels anyway).
Anyway I just thought I'd let everyone know about my find because I thought these were way cool.
I think most true Digimon fans already know about WPP thats where I downloaded the entire frontier series even though I had already seen the raw eps long long before the final subs where made lol
if you want to help me out you can tell me where to find movie 7 subbed that would be nice lol

I downloaded it within a couple minutes since it was going at 450kb a sec but I havnt watched the movie yet I supose I could wile I'm waiting for the rest of Escaflowne to download

what do you mean at the top it has a timer counting down after the time stopes ya click the link I only uploaded it there because YSI wasnt working I will look for a different site tomarrow

Firewalls are known for blocking peer-to-peer connections so if you have one on your computer you might need to configure it to allow bit torrent and not to block peer-to-peer ports. You can check out the [link=http://www.bittorrent.com/FAQ.html#firewall]FAQ[/link] on Bit Torrent's homepage for some info on that.

Just an update. After their long wait they have released Adventures #7 and Tamers #5 in their IRC channel.
