Don't believe everything you think 3-20-06 2Ch 9:6 But I did not believe what they said until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half the greatness of your wisdom was told me; you have far exceeded the report I heard. Mt 26:66 What do you think?” “He is worthy of death,” they answered. Maxine may not be an authority on the process of thought, but she has a point don’t you think? Many today hear a negative word about something and they are off to the races, and ready to crucify the one who the world points to as the scourge of the earth! Just imagine the wrongness in the thinking, of those who crucified Christ! We must submit our minds to be transformed daily. It is to easy to be swayed in our thinking, by what we hear or by what we thought we saw, these things distort our thinking. The times we are in, are too crucial to us, for us to be in error over the things we think. Not everything that we think is correct or real, and if measured by Christs plumline of righteousness, these thoughts would indeed fall apart, and evaporate as vapor. In this day and in this season, we must let our spiritual eyes take rank over our natural eyes and we must lean not on our own understanding! As the scripture in Proverbs 3:5 stimulates us to do. Prayer must become the first and only response to those thoughts that are motivated by hearing, seeing, touching, tasting, smelling and by outside and internal influences. Jerusalem the city of Peace, has a namesake city, this being Salem Massachusetts, who with its religious spirit of condemnation, burned innocent men and women as witches. This now is no coincidence that the Religious of Jerusalem crucified The King of Kings and The Lord of Lords, because of wrong thinking. [Ps 119:150 They draw near who follow after wrong thinking and persecute me with wickedness; they are far from Your law. JN 5:45 “Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have set your hope. Mt 26:66 what think ye? They answered and said, He is worthy of death.] What is wrong with us? Do we feel we are doing a service for God? Prayer can be the only course when what is in our own mind, is revealed. [1Ki 8:38 what prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, who shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:] We must begin to pray for the media, who reports to the public, but takes no thought for slander, this is truly character murder, when placed up against the commandments of God! What we think, is likened to the horse that is controlled by the small bit in the mouth, and the tongue that starts a great forest fire, along with the ship that is controlled by a little rudder! These scriptures can be found in James 3:3-5. Pray the eyes of mass communication will be opened, and that a false report will die before its birth. Don’t let the overstimulation of your senses cause you to sin. [1Pe 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” ] Remember: Don’t believe everything you think! Unless The Lord builds it, it will not stand! |

Re: Don't believe everything you think Amen! and another Word i recieved from the Lord personaly was do'nt believe everything you see, because what you see, sometimes is not what is! i believe that is so true you know? we cannot rely on our own senses even, but upon The Lord Jesus and our ever Present Friend and confidant....The Holy Spirit. Thats why i guess my favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in The Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path. Unless The Lord builds it, it will not stand! |

Re: Don't believe everything you think Yes our senses can be deceptive because they have to be filtered through PERCEPTION. We still have to make a story out of the information that is received through our senses.
