Dreams
I was just talking to Lux about dreams, and had a tangent thought I thought I'd post here.

Do you dream of dragons? Regularly? Are you one, or are you "watching"?

For myself, I don't, very often. Not that I recall, at least -- I consider it a special treat when I do. :) And I'd say it's about 50/50 on the viewpoint ... I tend to be an observer a lot in my dreams, or else 'playing' a part like an actor. Once in a while, though, I have the shape of a little golden dragon (not green, ironically). I've also watched her, as I have watched green and blue dragons, and briefly encountered a brown dragon who guarded a forest.

So, anyone else?

Re: Dreams
I have, rarely. The most vivid one I remember I have based a story on, and I was part of it instead of an observer (most of my dreams are observer mode). I actually was human, but transformed to dragon (along with other, similar humans), changeling, I believe.

"Do not presume to question me, mortal. I will be dancing the dance of glorious existence for millennia after your bones have turned to dust."

"I am a healer...I carry the pain of all those I have healed within me. Do not worry about me..."
"Is there no way to get rid of it? No way to purge the pain?"
"Death..."

Re: Dreams
Oooh, dreams. I could go on and on about those.
I haven't had any dreams about dragons in ages... lately it's all been real-life stuff, or Science-fiction episodes (I -love- those! Woo!)

The nearest dream I've had to dragonishness lately is doing a weird hop-leap-float thingie. Very fun and exciting.

I was thinking something similar, myself, and wondered... if I could -be- any dream, what would I be? I know it sounds really weird... but if I could, I'd choose one where it seems like you aren't moving at all, but in 'reality' you're gliding along, using no effort or anything to get where you need to go.

Can you tell I'm a slacker? *laughs*

Neat thread idea, btw.

Re: Dreams
I don't dream about dragons much, sadly... Though the few I have had have always been very vivid and seemingly important.

My dreams are usually either mixes of random events going through my head that make sense at the time, then don't when I wake up, or 'epics', as I've come to call them. My 'epics' are usually long, complicated and very much like either an adventure or fantasy story. In epics I'm either the main character or an important supporting character...

As to my dragon dreams... Well, the older one that I can remember involved a flock (group, whatever) of little brown-black wyverns. The more recent one had a dragon resembling in form what I imagine the dragons from Barbara Hambley's Dragonsbane books to look like, black patterned with gold and green. Wish I could have dragon dreams more often. They're always wonderful, when I remember them. *sighs*

Re: Dreams
I don't dream that often, but when I do I'm usually a person that changes into a dragon. It's usually for a good reason, like to save someone or something along those lines. I can't really remember since its been a while since I last dreamt of anything.

"Lead, follow, or get out of my flight path."

"You are free to sever the chains of Fate that bind you...."
