Dunno how many petition people read this board, but...
The guy running the site is a little occupied to update sooner. But if you're still interested in supporting our cause, I'm posting specific Miramax/Disney movies by date to boycott at City on Fire. (Also listed are alternative films to check out.) In addition, if you haven't already found out by now from reviews, Shaolin Soccer is edited by 25 minutes, and has replaced music. If you're looking for alternative uncut Asian films to support this spring, try Red Trousers, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter...and Spring(working trailer at moviefone), Twilight Samurai, and Godzilla. I will be updating this thread when necessary.

Re: Dunno how many petition people read this board, but...
We couldn't tear down Kill Bill 2, but that's ok, because it had Gordon Liu speaking in Cantonese, which isn't what Tarantino originally intended for him in the script. So that and the fact that it's Miramax's only success for 2004 is still good for subbed Asian films. It's the uncut part we have to work on now. Anyway, in August Hero will be released, but likely the non-director's cut version with changed subs. Also coming out that month is Mark Dacascos' Crying Freeman. So give it a whirl instead. You can currently check out Millennium Mambo. Also coming out in August is Warriors of Heaven and EarthEdited by: NINGEN21 at: 7/18/04 3:56 am
Re: Dunno how many petition people read this board, but...
Sony announced picking up House of Flying Daggers from the same director as Hero, so support it instead.
Re: Dunno how many petition people read this board, but...
If this thread is correct, Hero's out on the 27th now, so support Warriors instead. Sony's Zhou Yu's Train is currently out in limited release, so give that a shot as well.
Re: Dunno how many petition people read this board, but...
Warriors of Heaven and Earth got pushed back a week...You can currently see Last Life in the Universe at select Landmark theaters though.
Re: Dunno how many petition people read this board, but...
Hero's take is still a victory, but you can always see Warriors of Heaven and Earth or Tae Guk Gi this weekend instead.
