We have added a few things to the requirements to power and ability upgrades. Be sure and read the details in the most recent update when you request a new power / upgrade.
Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

Early Arrival
The sun had just risen letting all know it was rather early in the morning. Within the quad the rolling of luggage wheels could be heard as Maria proudly strode through the quad. A light breeze flew through her long and extravagent hair as she read the map she was given.
Maria had entered from the northern end of the quad and needed to head to the western end to get registered for classes. As her eyes lifted off of the paper she couln't help but notice several students setting up equipment.
Maria noticed what the equipment was force instantly. On the inside she wanted to shout out and giggle, but her exterior simply showed a smile. Dances gave Maria a chance to shine and she wasn't going to miss it.
She knew that she would have to go out and get a dress that day, meaning she would have to cash that check. Knowing that she had so much to do yet so little time, Maria hurried towards the administration building.
The arrival of a certain German addition to the student body was a little less .... quiet and unordinary. You see, Dimitri was not exactly known for caution, or for really caring to afford nice things. Which he couldn't, really; most of the "nice things" were bought with money from stolen nice things. In this case, the object purchased with that shady income was a black Chrysler Crossfire, and apparently the driver either:
A.) Had no idea where the brake was
or
B.) Didn't give a damn
or
C.) Had a death wish
In reality, it was B. He needed a means of getting to the school, and rather than take a cab like a normal person he decided to "commandeer" a parked car. He'd ditch it somewhere later, for now he had other things to take care of.
Now, why would it be one of those answers, you ask? Because the car slid into the parking lot opposite the administration building at around forty-five miles per hour; the tires spinning and pulling the car out of the slide before it could get any closer to the other vehicles in the lot. He only slowed down when he neared an available spot, how the hell he spotted it as fast as he was driving would probably go down as one of the greater mysteries of the twenty first century . . . nonetheless, he pulled the handbrake and sent the car into another powerslide that spun the light vehicle a complete 180 degrees; then shifted to neutral and backed it into the available spot with the leftover momentum.
How many cars he'd hit to get this little trick mastered was unknown, but the end result was something even he was proud of. Hell, who else could back into a parking space that fast? Well, motorcycles could get in easy, but that was beside the point. Besides, any of those tried to show hime up, he could always just ram the poor kid.
Dimitri stepped out of the car as if this sort of thing was completely normal, grabbing a plain black duffel bag out of the passenger seat and pulling it out before closing the driver side door and walking casually away as the two successive chirps let him know the car was locked and the alarm set. So, aside from [seemingly] rich-boy's little display, what else was unusual, you ask? Well .... it looked like the steel chain on his dark blue coat was used for something other than decoration. Instead of being dragged along the ground, like the law of gravity said it should be, it was suspended in the air almost like a third arm; coiled around the straps for the duffel bag and carrying it just behind and off to the right of the blonde-haired Dimitri. Which probably wasn't a normal sight ... even here ...
He scanned the campus grounds quickly with the vibrant emerald hues of his, eventually locking his gaze onto the young woman who also seemed to have just arrived. Or more importantly her che - er - map. Yeah, map. That one (no seriously, he saw the map first, don't smack him T-T).
" 'scuse me miss, can I take a look at that?"
Well, asking was pointless, he'd already fallen in-step next to her and was peering down at the map. He was about nine inches taller than her, so he could easily manage looking over her shoulder.
"Jus' need to find out where I'm suppose to be going is all. Registering for classes and whatnot . . . "
Re: Early Arrival
Maria had felt rather irritated as this stranger appeared from nowhere. Honestly, who did he think he was getting that close to her without warning or invitation. If she had been in a mad mood this guy would be on the floor right now holding his crouch, he was lucky she wasn't.
As Maria turned to face this stranger her eyes widened and her jaw dropped. He was huge! Not only in height but in muscle as well. He looked like he had money which was somehin Maria liked. Instead of going defensive, Maria decided to play a little. Maria offered the map out as she pressed her breasts together.
"Here, you can have it! I need to register classes to if you would like to accompany me..."
She gave this stranger a false giggle as she let go of her luggage and rested her delicate fingers on her hips. So far, no male had been able to resist her charm, so why would he be any exception.
"Well, it's your's, you keep it. I already saw what building I need to head toward anyway,"
Well, he saw that among other things ... that one wasn't intentional though. Wasn't his fault, I mean they were right there for the whole world to see. It was good though, as it saved him having to take another look; he would have to know where the dorms, cafeteria, and library were anyway ..... what? Of course that's what he saw! Sheesh!
Quote:"I need to register classes to if you would like to accompany me...that is, if you aren't too busy of course."
"Well, I see no reason to refuse .... you don't bite, do you?" he gave her a slightly suspicious look, but it was more playful than serious. Apparently, his mind never ceased to function with the giddiness of a small child. He could find amusement in anything, and yet at the same time retain that calm and composed outer shell. As well as a velveteen tone of voice, which tended to help him persuade members of the opposite sex to lend him a helping hand every so often. The ever-so-slight german accent actually made it even more potent, without making him sound like a certain musclebound movie actor / governor.
"And believe me, I'm never too busy to turn down a request from a lady . . . unless of course I hear sirens, in which case you're on your own~" Dimitri continued, "And I can take that for you if you'd like, the baggage cart can handle it just fine . . . "
He was referring to the chain still carrying his own bag, which seemingly moved of it's own accord over toward her suitcase; sliding Dimitri's bag back and freeing up a few feet at the end of the chain to wrap around Maria's bag . . . if she accepted the offer, anyway. At the moment it simply hovered there, waiting for her answer just as it's master was. Despite what she might think, he wasn't doing this to show off, he simply preferred to keep his hands free at all times. He tended to mouth off to people a lot, and he'd learned the need to be able to quickly defend himself, counter a swing at his head, etcetera.
"Oh but I do have one favor to ask of you, ease off the charm, hmm? It's really not necessary..." he only pointed that out to reveal he knew what she was up to. He was curious as to what her reaction would be, and quickly set about testing the theories he'd already come up with. The one he thought was most likely, was that she would innocently deny such behavior and then gradually cut back on it so as to try and let it go unnoticed....only time would tell for sure, though.
Quote:"Well, I see no reason to refuse .... you don't bite, do you?"
Maria resisted the urge to say a corny joke around a person she had just met. It would make her seem, well, corny. So she simply laughed at it and smiled.
"
Quote:And believe me, I'm never too busy to turn down a request from a lady . . . unless of course I hear sirens, in which case you're on your own and I can take that for you if you'd like, the baggage cart can handle it just fine . . . "
There would have been an awkward silence had he not mentioned his "baggage cart". She couldn't help but focus on it after he had mentioned. She had never seen something like that in her life, then again, her mother said she would see a lot of unsual things. That led Maria to think, how did her mother know about this place? Maria noticed she had been silent for awhile and turned her attention back towards this stranger.
"My apologies, if it's not too much for you I would love that!"
Quote:"Oh but I do have one favor to ask of you, ease off the charm, hmm? It's really not necessary..."
Maria laughed nervously for a moment, she definately had to work on her seduction more. He had been the only one so far to catch her in the act. She would try to play it off? Nah, it wasn't right to. After all, since she had started, he had been the only one to catch her in the act.
"I see you caught me, and you got it. I'll ease off but I won't stop!"
She winked at him playfully, he wasn't specific enough. She may have lost this battle, but this war was far from over if she had anything to say about it. All she would need to do is lock eyes with him, she would wait though.
Quote:"My apologies, if it's not too much for you I would love that!"
"Oh don't worry, it's not. If anything it'd be rather helpful to me. Improving my control over my powers and whatnot. After all, all us muties have to learn to control our powers so we'll become such nice lovey people and leave the rest of the world alone~ .... or something along those lines anyway . . . "
Obviously, despite the upbeat sort of demeanor, there was apparently a bit more to Dimitri than met the eye. Still, he had his answer, and the chain quickly slid under the handle on Maria's suitcase and coiled around it before lifting it into the air along with Dimitri's bag.
Quote:"I see you caught me, and you got it. I'll ease off but I won't stop!"
"Of course I caught you, I'm used to it. I have the misfortune of being born into a family that was reasonably well off. Which means I have to put up with people who try to get close for that reason alone . . . . which I hope you never do, because there's no quicker way to make me despise a person~"
That was the only warning he planned on giving, it was her's do with as she pleased.
Quote:"So, to administration then?"
"After you, you're the one with the map, now aren't you? But if you're going to take forever I guess I could always take your stuff~" he teased, walking past her towards the building, keeping a small enough lead so that she didn't take him seriously, but at the same time staying far enough ahead she'd have to chase after him to catch up . . .
Re: Early Arrival
As the two students walk along the campus, in search of the administration building an older man stands in their way, his eyes on the male student as the two walk. He stands directly in the direction the two are traveling, a smug look on his face, and a lookk with a hidden agenda in his eyes. As they approach the man, he speaks to the boy. "So, where's your drivers license." The man asks the boy in a way that is more demanding rather then a question.
"Well, that is the question of the day, now isn't it ..." Dimitri answered snidely, only paying the man any mind because from the looks of things he was most likely part of the faculty here. And he had no intention of getting kicked out just yet, at the moment he was using the place as a bit of safe haven from the rest of the world. Or, more accurately, the law enforcement of the outside world. So he couldn't afford to ignore the man.
"Why I do believe it's right here . . . " Dimitri said, pulling a wallet from his back pocket and sliding out his driver's license . . . or more accurately, the one he had made for him. The difference between it and a fake ID was that he paid handsomely to make it as official as possible, even going so far as to bribe someone at the DMV to have the number on the license match his prior license; under Dimitri Riedel. This one had the new last name, his new 'identity' of Dimitri Nabokov on it. As far as the records at the DMV could be sure, there never was a Dimitri Riedel. Why go through all the trouble? Well, let's just say a background check on Dimitri Riedel would be .... bad.
"Are you satisfied now? We do have classes to get registered for," he asked irritably, making sure to keep a firm hold of his license. He didn't like the look on this man's face, he positively wreaked of someone plotting something . . .
Re: Early Arrival
As Dimitri pulls out his license and shows it to him, the man doesn't even take a glance at it. "Do you know who I am?" He begins, but before Dimitri has the chance to reply, he continues. "Ofcourse not, you are new here. So let me inform you on a few things young man. I don't care who your parents are, or how much money your family has. If you drive through my parking lot like that again, I can assure you it will be a very memorable experience. One that you will be unlikely to forget. Do you understand me?"
Hrmm.....Scrooge? Lucifer? The Grinch? No, wait, you're not green ... hmm .... I'd like to use a lifeline, maybe ask the audience?
Obviously, he didn't say that out loud. There were times for smart-ass remarks, and times to avoid making them altogether.
Quote:"Ofcourse not, you are new here. So let me inform you on a few things young man. I don't care who your parents are, or how much money your family has. If you drive through my parking lot like that again, I can assure you it will be a very memorable experience. One that you will be unlikely to forget. Do you understand me?"
Heheh .... it was already pretty memorable, gramps ...
"Yes, explicitly and impeccably even . . . though if that's all, could I please be on my merry way? Don't want to be late for class, right?" Dimitri responded, putting away his license since evidently it wasn't needed. "Won't happen again ... " ... while you're watching anyway ... "Though for the record it's a moot point who my parents are anyway, they are in fact deceased, therefore they do not amount to being a source of much influence upon anyone . . . sir . . . "
Ah, almost forgot to say 'sir.' Came close to forgetting altogether, if only because he was under the impression this guy was a dick and therefore not deserving of any sort of respectful title. Still, he was supposed to behave here, so he had no other choice.
Re: Early Arrival
Maria just stood idlely the entire time, it wasn't her buisiness to interrupt. So she simply watched and waited until she felt it was appropriate to finally speak. She wanted to laugh at the entire situation, it was ridiculous, a man with power abusing it to pick on the weaker.
"Can I go now?"
"Yes, can we please go. I have a lot to do and I can definately NOT waste time with things such as this!"
Her tone wasn't angry, but somewhat irritated. They could have already been in the administration building but instead they were dealing with the power crazed fool. Maria wrapped her arm around Dimitri's and smiled lightly showing she wasn't irritated with him.
"Don't pretend it is my fault that you will be late for class. If you are. Then you get to deal with your instructor. You will get no excuse by using my name. Perhaps if you had been more responsible, you wouldn't have had to speed through the parking lot, and I wouldn't be talking to you, now would I?" The Vice principle continues in an unappreciative tone towards the student. "Now get to class."
(OOC: Please don't hate me, I heard over the grape vine that you were mad at me for doing this, but the principle/Vice-principle is gonna be there when students are misbehaving, so just understand it's part of the roleplaying experience. Not me trying to be a brat. )
Quote:"Don't pretend it is my fault that you will be late for class. If you are. Then you get to deal with your instructor. You will get no excuse by using my name. Perhaps if you had been more responsible, you wouldn't have had to speed through the parking lot, and I wouldn't be talking to you, now would I? Now get to class."
Actually, we don't even need to be having this talk in the first place . . . no one was hurt, nothing was broken, and all is still right with the world - well - as right as it ever has been, anyway. Who the hell pissed in your Cheerios this morning to get you this moody, old man . . .
Oh yeah. Some things were definitely better left unsaid.
Dimitri headed off with Maria to get registered, not objecting to the physical contact in the slightest . . . for reasons that should have been quite obvious to even the most dim-witted observer.
"Oh, and for the sole purpose of avoiding any sort of scenario in which you have to make up some sort of odd nickname for me, the name's Dimitri Nabokov. There won't be a quiz on how to spell it properly either, so you can rest easy . . . "
