Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.

Hawthorne loved the sound of the waterfalls crashing. It made it feel like you were the only one in the world. She sat close to the falls, thinking about the strange turns life had taken her recently. She held a letter crumpled in her hand. A concerned friend from back home, she didn't know she had any of those, had written to tell her that Drewe had been released from jail. She knew it wouldn't be long before he ended up here, and a part of her was relieved. Finally, they could work through things. In fact, if it hadn't been for friends like Jun-Bo, and Datu, she might have actually been anticipating this return with some sort of eagerness. After all, your feelings never truly fade for your first love, they just dim over time . . .
She didn't know why, but she felt like singing. Sometimes, it was the only way to get all of the emotions out. She wanted to sing some Theory of A Deadman, because they were very emotive, and helped her think when she was having trouble coping. She wandered along by the side of the falls, walking in tempo. When she started out, her voice was a little shaky, but by the end of the first stanza she had mellowed into a full, sweet contralto. The sound of the waterfall kept rythem for her, and she just lost herself in the lyrics . . .

The last note faded out ever so gently, and she stopped walking, leaning against the rocks near the bottom of the falls. Spray from them had dampened her hair and clothes, making her shirt cling to her curves. She really wasn't fat, just a little softer around the edged than most girls these day. Ruben would have called her vuloptuous, and painted portraits of her.

*Chris turned as he lit up one of his last smoke's he had hidden smoking from his parents and most of his friends but he thought he was safe near the waterfall because he assumed that not many people came out this far*

Daedelus walked into the area, he was wearing his usual attire of full black clothing. In his bag, he had with him his gold dragon longsword, his manga that he was reading currently. it was something called "dot.hack" that he had gotten in the mail with his anime monthly magazine. he liked it and had read half of it. he would probabl proceed to buy the other two books. besides the manga he also had with him a box with different kinds of food. All these items are in his school bag except the sword which is in scabbard on his belt.
As he came into the area he noticed the girl who's hair and clothes were damp from the mist of the waterfall, he then noticed her singing. Wow what a great voice she has, this is great! an oppertunity to meet someone new! he thought to himself.
Then with that, he walked up to her. "Hello, my name is Daedelus Anon, and you are?" (you notice that he has a hood covering his face. You also notice the black gloves that he has on.)

Apparently, she was not the only one in the world though. She looked up cautiously to the boy who had commented on her vocal attempts and then . . . did he rap? She crinkled her nose at the pleasantly familiar scent of cigarette smoke, and smiled at Christopher, as well as the other boy who approached and introduced himself. Well, wasn't that just so. You come outside, think you're alone, and suddenly you have an audience! She blushed a little at all the attention.
"Welcome Christopher, Daedelous, my name is Hawthorne . . . Hawthorne Johnstone. Isn't that a funny coincidence? I have the same last name as one of you . . ."
It really was curious, since Hawthorne wasn't familiar with anyone else sharing her last name. Maybe they were related, somewhere way back in the mists of history. She grinned, that would be rather random . . .
"What brings the both of you out to the waterfall?"
More people were approaching her these days, maybe it was the aura of contentment that being around people like Jun-Bo was giving her. She wasn't wearing all the spiked paraphanalia anymore, just a single studded bracelet on her right wrist, in tribute to the defenses she once thought she required. Maybe it was because her rock tee was melding to the contours of her body in the damp, showing it off, rather than disguising it as is usually did. Maybe it was because she had switched up her usual piercings for smaller, more delicate accessories, so that the they were just glimmers of silver at eyebrow, nose lip, and ears. Whatever it was, she was content here, and happy to meet new people.
Casually she stuffed the letter into her back pocket, trying not to draw attention to it. She didn't realize it, but part of it was still sticking out. Anyone with sharp vision attempting to read it, they might make out large, bolded letters "e's bac" on the folded bit that remained visible.

*Chris didn't have a problem with himself smoking in front of others he thought that it was a bit strange that someone would carry a sword around but lately meeting people with powers like his nothing surprised him anymore cause he knew that if push came to shove he could berry one of his darts into Daedelus before he had a chance to take out the sword completely although this didn't stop him from reaching into his pocket and grasping one of his darts*

Daedelus then turned around to chris: "I do not smoke, but where I come from it is a popular pastime among my kind to smoke, If you really want something out of the ordinary, take these. Daedelus took a small black box from his pocket and held it out to chris. You can have them if you want, the box, and all of its contents. I have a lot of boxes like these and I have no use for them."

Hawthorne took another whiff of the smoke coming off of Christopher's cigarette. She kinda wished she still smoked, but knew that it wouldn't suit the lifestyle she was trying to lead right now. After all, she was trying so hard to clean up her act and get into shape. Besides, Jun-Bo wouldn't approve. She had to stop using that as an excuse, but she had taken it as her own personal mantra, and she'd only had one slip so far. It must be working.
Hawthorne examined Chris's t-shirt, it was one she didn't have, but it made her feel better to know that she wasn't the only one here who dressed in normal clothes. Her own t-shirt loudly displayed the title "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", with ACDC scrawled across the bottom. She hadn't thought that there were any other good music fans left out there. Maybe she was mistaken about him rapping, maybe he was just poetic.
"Pollute away Chris, I won't stop you, I kinda like the smell actually, being an ex-smoker myself. I came out here because the accoustics are really nice by the waterfall, and I had a letter to read, I like to do things outside as much as possible, and this seemed as good a place as any." The lifted up a damp lock of hair in one hand. "A little wetter than I thought it would be, mind you."
She turned to Daedelus, listening carefully to his reasons for showing up down here. Apparently her singing voice was better than she remembered, if, like the sirens of legend, just the sound of it could draw men to her side. She giggled to herself about the mental image that produced, and nodded to Daedelus.
"Thank you for the compliment, Daedelus, I was just checking to see if my voice had become rusty from disuse."
She watched curiously as Daedelus offered something to Christopher. It was a rather curious looking tin, and she thought vaguely back to her ex's occupation of dealing drugs. She furrowed her brow, but shook it away. She wasn't here to pass judgements on the behaviour of others, and she wasn't here to jump to conclusions either. She'd be fine.

Chris did like to ramble on a bit with random that was just the way he was he took his spare hand off one of his darts he felt that no one was going to sneak attach him

Daedelus then put his hand back at his side after chris took the box.
"I hope you enjoy them! the black ciggarettes are special. if you smoke them, the scent they give off is whatever you want it to be, my kind generally pick the scent of their favorite food or dessert.
The essence powder in the pouch is a substance that can be smoked through the smoking pipe it is magical if you think of something, the smoke will form the image of what you are thinking of. The others do different things, if you have a question about them, just ask me and i will tell you what they do.
Also, Yes, you are right, there are some cuban cigars in there, i put about ten in there.
Last but not least, there are two more things that I must tell you. The ligther trim is 20 karot gold, and can be filled with whatever you wish to use to light the smokes with. I have put some special lighting fluid in it. It is magical as well, this fluid will not run out for 1 month, when it does, come back to me and I will refill it for you. Next last thing I must tell you, hawthorne you may find this interesting too: all of the smokeable things in the box, with the exception of the cuban cigars, are not addictive, and do not hurt you lungs. Besides being a more healthy alternative to smoking, they help people who are trying to stop get out of the habit."
After he was through talking to chris, he then turns to hawthorne.
"You Are welcome, and it sounds to me that it is a beautiful as ever. It is always a treat to listen to an individual with a talented voice."

Wow. That was a lot to take in, but Hawthorne felt that she was up to it. She could respond to it all.

"I'll pass on the smoke though, the guy I'm interested in right now totally wouldn't approve, and we're on shaky ground as it is."
She tilted her head towards Daedalus, listening to yet more flattery come out of his mouth. "You Are welcome, and it sounds to me that it is a beautiful as ever. It is always a treat to listen to an individual with a talented voice." She felt she had to be careful around him, though she nodded in acknowledgement to his newest compliment. She always felt people that slick wanted something. She was much more comfortable around the boy with the same last name as her, as he was blunt, and gruff, you could prolly always tell what he was getting at.

Hawthorne raised an eyebrow towards Daedelus. She still didn't think she liked him, but it was against her nature to be deliberately rude to someone, if she could help it. She listened carefully to the rapidfire questions he shot off at her.
She mentally shrugged. How to get to know someone in 20 seconds or less, eh? Well, she could dignify it with a response, she guessed. Though the hood was starting to creep her out.
"So Hawthorne besides singing, do you like to read comic books? or listen to music? these are my hobbies, what are yours?"
"I swim, mostly. And I do listen to a lot of music. Other than that, I dunno. I like things like picnics and stuff, anything, really, that gets me outdoors. That's about it . . . I don't tend to be very entertaining.

Chris had been staying quiet he wanted to get a feel for the situation he couldn't believe this guy he was so nice and over the top. He was hitting on this girl who had obviously stated that she was interested in another guy who was this guy Chris asked himself. "Dude it might just be mean but lay off the girl i mean she likes another guy, i mean ur nice and all but..."
Chris walked over to the young man and turned him away from the young girl "ok, ok buddy, listen here you got to be smooth ok buddy this girl is obviously off limits but you have too look at the big picture don't hit on her and don't say that you aren't cause its quiet obvious. so just play it smooth she might have female friends ok buddy now stop hitting on her ok your making the male gender look bad."

That was a tough question, and Hawthorne really had to think about it. It really came down to two, but she wasn't sure which one she liked better, because they were both very different. So she decided.
"I like ACDC best for their lyrics, and I like Cannibal Corpse best for their musical style."
There. That was prolly the most honest she could answer that question. After all, her musical preference changed with the wind, and her whim. She never knew what she would pop into the cd player next. It was as much a mystery to her as to anyone.
She was curious about what was going on between the two boys though. She knew Daedelus was being pretty slick, but she'd never seen one guy upbraid another for hitting on a girl. In fact, she'd never seen a guy assume a girl, whether she was attatched, infatuated, or not, was unavailable. It was a refreshing new angle coming from the male gender. And she thought that she liked it.

Chris turned to Daedelus "the term emo is an offshoot of emotional punk but these days there a group just like any emo's are usually the pasty white kids that can't join the punk, rock or goth crowd. they listen to soft sad lyric's about losing there girlfriends or being abused, in fact in the early stages of emo's it wasn't cool to wear all black it was in fact ok to wear ripped flano t-shirts. and obliviously the woman here is trying to give up smoking it would be rude to light up in front of her wouldn't it ?"

Well, he was rather forward, wasn't he? She didn't really want to, but she didn't want to be rude either. She looked nervously between the two boys. This was not exactly the kinda situation she wanted to be in. How did she get herself into these messes?
"It was . . . just some news from back home. About someone we both knew. Nothing much."
That was mostly true. They did both know him, and he was from back home . . . sorta. She was just . . . understating the impact the letter had on her. It wasn't exactly news one would want to share with complete strangers.
