June 1st - June 19th
It's almost summer! The last few weeks of school have come, and students will need to study hard for their final exams! Don't let up yet, or your grades won't be what you want them to. Of course, the weather is almost perfect and pristine, in attempts to lure students away from their studies.
Ever The Same [2.20.09] ISO: Cory
It was Friday! Finally, they were free from classes for the weekend! Two full days of freedom to do nothing but loaf around and pretend that they didn't have a care in the world. Needless to say, Tucker lived for these days. These weekends. It was the most brilliant invention ever where school was concerned. Education was necessary, unfortunately, but at least they had two days of the week to revive their poor battered brains so they could dive headfirst into another week. Now, in a perfect world, weekends would be four days long, and the week would be three days long. But unfortunately a school board didn't take too fondly to such an idea. If Tucker were ever Headmaster, things would change. Students would be dumb as door nails, but they would have the time of their lives. Which was exactly why Tucker would never make it in the education field.
But that didn't matter. He was going to be an undercover hit wizard. The sound of it was so thrilling and exciting. He could have an alter ego, and then fight crime in uniform. What would his alter ego be? He could pretend to have a desk job at the Ministry. With a nice big office all to himself. And once he entered, he could press one of those shiny red buttons that turned it from drab to super hit wizard! And putting his life on the line every day to fight against dark wizards would earn Tucker a fair booty. Because nothing was just about passion anymore. It had to make a fair amount of dough for it to be worth anything.
Kicking back to relax, Tucker took control of an entire couch, pulling his feet up to rest on the cushions in a lazy manner, reagrding the Common Room in an effortless, lackadaisical manner. So, what was he going to do that weekend? Other than avoid his homework at all possible costs. Maybe get out and play a bit of Quidditch. Or spend a boys night with Dion again? That was always fun. Maybe he would throw a huge Common Room party. Equipped with everything essential to break it down in every manner possible.
However, he caught sight of someone else that made his ideas for the weekend change. There was Cory. Gorgeous, irresistable. He could spend a considerable amount of the weekend with her... "Hey Beautiful," Tucker called at Cory, making sure she saw him laying there on the couch.
Unlike Tucker, weekends for Cory Weiss didn't mean goofing off and procrastinating. From the very beginning of her academic career, Cory had been determined and dedicated to education and worked hard at whatever she did. During the week she went to her classes, did her assignments to the best of her abilities, and, of course, did make time for a social life. She was a teenager, after all, and like all teens Cory needed to have some relaxing time and did, at times, put off homework or just sacrificed an assignment to just hang out. But for the most part, she worked hard and did her best, and weekends, while time for her to rejuvinate, was also a time to catch up and things she'd missed during the week. Cory was the type who didn't like to procrastinate much, and tried to get everything done beforehand and have fun later. That way, the fun always felt so much more at ease and relaxing. Besides, the seventh year needed her sleep. While some believed that the last year of school was always the easiest since nothing really mattered anymore, they were wrong, especially if they wanted to go somewhere in life.
Cory Weiss had a very particular thing she wanted to do when she left Hogwarts and, fortunately, her plans were a lot more realistic than those of her boyfriend's. The only path she had set before her was the path to becoming an Auror like her late mother. From the moment she entered Hogwarts, that was all she wanted to do and she'd been striving for that goal. She kept her grades up, she exceeded in the subjects she needed to exceed in and generally did whatever she could to give her the best chance to get into auror training and on her way to becoming a full fledged auror. And also unlike her boyfriend, Cory's desire to become an auror wasn't because of the money or that status, but because she admired her mother. She loved her mother and thought what she'd done was brave and courageous and Cory wanted to be like her mother. She wanted to achieve greatness by being and auror.
But the girl had a social life and, unfortunately, there were a few difficult things going on in her social life at the moment, mostly involving Tucker Pence. While they seemed to have temporarily put the "incident" during winter break aside, Cory knew it would come up again eventually. It was only a matter of time. It wasn't as if they could just pretend they hadn't said what they had said and go on with their life. And then, of course, there was the matter of Tucker getting a Valentine from a "secret admirer." As much as Cory wanted to say that didn't upset her, it had pissed her off quite a bit and she had half the mind to burn up the Valentine. But Cory had managed to contain herself and had gone through the day trying not to think about the whole thing. Of course, the more she thought about it, the more she wanted to know who the hell was sending an obviously attached boy Valentines. It was obnoxious and Cory felt as though she wanted to hunt that person down.
Brushing her auburn hair out of her eyes, Cory walked out of her dormitory and headed toward the Common Room. While she usually would have been attempting to get some homework done, she just didn't feel like it today. Today, she just felt like letting her hair down, trading her uniform in for a pair of jeans and a maroon graphic tee, and walking around barefoot. She was feeling in the mood to just hang out and relax. With whom, she hadn't figured out yet, but there would be people hanging around the common room, and if there weren't she'd go hunt down some people, either from the girl's dormitories or the boy's. While Cory was the Head Girl and she knew it was against the rules for the girls to wander into the boy's dorms, she wasn't a stiff and did break the rules herself once in a while. Besides, how was she supposed to drag her guy friends of their dorms without actually going in and doing it herself?
But that didn't see to be a problem as Cory walked into the common room. "Hey Beautiful," a voice called out to her from a couch and Cory turned her head to see Tucker splayed out on the bit of furniture. She noted that he was taking up the entire couch as he lay there and stood before him, smirking, crossing her arms over her chest. "Well, aren't you looking like you should be on the cover of some erotic novel?" Cory teased lightly. "If you're going to ask me to feed you grapes, the answer is no."

Cory smirked and walked over to his couch, looking at him splayed there across the cushions. She crossed her arms across her chest before speaking. "Well, aren't you looking like you should be on the cover of some erotic novel?" Cory teased, making a winning grin come across Tucker's face. Yes, the cover of an erotic novel. That was Tucker all over it. He personally wondered what it would be like to shoot pictures like that. Usually they were just models and didn't know each other at all. Then they had to come in, strip their clothes off, make nice with each other and pretend to be in love. Actually, the whole concept of it intrigued Tucker. It would probably be quite fun if you asked him. Get to meet a lot of nude females...ahem...females and perhaps ask them out, date them, take them home for the night... But Tucker totally wasn't thinking about all of this when Cory was standing right there. "If you're going to ask me to feed you grapes, the answer is no."
Tucker laughed and sat up a bit, scooting down the couch to make room for her. "Well damn, there goes my entire plan." He gave her a wink and then patted the cushions next to him, motioning for her to sit down. "I guess a back massage can suffice for now then. What do you say?" She was probably going to hit him in the face, and he wouldn't lie and say that he didn't deserve it. She was one of those feminist rallier kind of girls. Fight for women's equality! She would definitley not buy into giving a man a massage or feeding him grapes unless it was for her own personal gain. And really, there was no benefit in her giving Tucker a back massage unless she wanted to earn his undying love and gratification. Which she pretty much already had.
He was glad that things had sort of smoothed out after their arguement over Christmas Break, but then at the same time, it made him feel extremely uneasy. He had gotten angry with her for having...intimate relations with one of her childhood friends. But the thing was, he hadn't told her that he had done the same over summer break. With a girl named Amber. He had been too caught up fussing over the fact that he was in the same house as the boy that Cory had fallen back to when Tucker had basically abandoned her that he didn't care to mention his own relationship details. Cory knew that he had been with many girls, and hopefully assumed that they had done more than snogging. Then it would make breaking the news to her a lot easier. But something told him he wasn't going to get off that easily. So it really came down to finding the right time to tell her.
This was not it.
"So, gonna make any boys cry this weekend?" Tucker asked with a grin. "Just make sure I'm not on your list," he added as an afterthought. It brought him back to the idea of what he was going to do all that weekend. It was one of the first times that he didn't have any plans or anything, so he would probably have to see where things lead. Maybe he would throw a Common Room party. That was always fun. But Cory would probably flay him within an inch of his life, seeing as he did have Prefect duties to attend to. And besides, he wasn't of age yet to drink. He was close, but not quite there yet. Unfortunately. Which would be two wrongs in one night, giving Cory more reason to want to hurt him. And he didn't want Cory to be mad at him...never again.
Re: Ever The Same [2.20.09] ISO: Cory
Cory could have rolled her eyes when the smile came across Tucker’s face. She should have expected that kind of reaction from him. As much as girls tried to convince themselves their boyfriends didn’t have a single dirty thought in their mind, Cory was not under such pretense. She knew quite well the nature of boys and what kind of thoughts they had, girlfriend or no. While the thought of erotic novels were slightly disgusting to girls, boys always seemed to be somewhat amused by the idea and Cory could only imagine what thoughts were going through that head of Tucker’s. He was probably thinking about how it would be like to really be on the front of an erotic novel. Wonderful. But Cory had dealt with boys before and their slightly perverted nature was just a minor annoyance to her now. She no longer made a big deal about it and had just accepted that boys didn’t always think with their upstairs brain, unfortunately. It was always up to the girls to try and keep their boyfriends in line and thinking about slightly more appropriate things.
But at least Tucker was good at hiding the thoughts running through his mind. He simply laughed and made room for Cory to sit down on the couch. She quirked an eyebrow at him before moving toward the proffered seat. "Well damn, there goes my entire plan." He gave her a wink before patting the spot next to him and Cory laughed as she sat. "I guess a back massage can suffice for now then. What do you say?"
“I say I’ll spare your life and ignore the last five seconds of my life,” Cory replied with a grin. Giving Tucker a back massage… Ha. As though she would go to such a level. Cory wasn’t the type of girl to do whatever a man told her to do, whether he was her boyfriend or not. She was more likely to shove his head into a toilet than smile and say, ‘yes, dear’. Now, if the roles were to have been vice versa, Cory wouldn’t have minded all too much. Having someone provide to her every whim sounded like a rather fun idea, though the Gryffindor was sure she’d get annoyed with it after a while. In the end, the kind of relationship she needed was where she was given space. While some girls would have thought space a very bad idea to have, especially since that would mean they would be giving their boyfriend space as well, Cory wanted a relationship that relied on trust and loyalty. She didn’t want to have to keep her eye on her boyfriend every second of his life and she didn’t want to be suspicious. She just wanted to be able to feel comfortable with letting her boyfriend go on his merry way with his life and not have to worry about him running off with someone else.
That was probably why she’d been so skeptical about being in a relationship with Tucker in the first place, because she just couldn’t get herself to completely trust him. He had such a reputation for being a lady’s man and he’d already betrayed her trust once that it had been hard for her to just be comfortable with him going off. But lucky, Cory had gotten a lot more trusting of Tucker since the beginning of the year and he was no longer extremely worried about him running off with someone else. While Tucker may have been a boy, he was also not stupid. Cory knew he would learn from his mistakes. Or she seriously hoped he had. But there hadn’t been any real problems (minus the whole New Years incident) since they’d gotten together, so things had been going quite smoothly. But the smoothness of everything was putting Cory a little on edge and she was feeling a bit worried, thinking this all was just the calm before the storm. She hoped she was just worrying for nothing though.
"So, gonna make any boys cry this weekend?" Tucker asked with a grin, drawing a laugh from Cory. "Just make sure I'm not on your list."
“Making boys cry is my hobby. You should know that by now,” Cory joked in response. “And if you’re a good boy I won’t have to make you cry in front of all your little friends.” She gave him a playful wink and a coy smile. She leaned over, her lips hovering over his for a moment. “But I do reserve the right to make you cry like a little girl,” Cory replied before kissing him.
Re: Ever The Same [2.20.09] ISO: Cory“I say I’ll spare your life and ignore the last five seconds of my life,” Cory replied with a grin, making Tucker laugh in response. Well, that was what he had figured would happen. Maybe he should search for some other unsuspecting female to give him a massage. Yeah, if he wanted to get castrated right on the spot.
“Making boys cry is my hobby. You should know that by now,” Cory replied. Tucker watched her, feeling an intense urge to pounce her right on the spot. He wondered if she would mind, seeing as there were quite a few people around at the moment. “And if you’re a good boy I won’t have to make you cry in front of all your little friends.” Cory said with a wink and a coy smile. Oh no! Heaven forbid crying in front of his friends! Well, actually, Tucker would be very emotionally disturbed if he had to cry in front of his friends. He didn't think he would be able to handle it. No wait. He knew he wouldn't be able to handle it. Unless it was Puck. She knew everything about Tucker anyways. Cory then moved toward Tucker, leaning closer and closer. Oh Merlin, was he supposed to sit there like an obedient puppy and wait for her to finally kiss him? “But I do reserve the right to make you cry like a little girl,” Cory said, before finally closing the gap to kiss Tucker.
Tucker mentally grinned, and kissed her for a few moments before pulling away. "Only you can make me cry and scream like a little baby," he said, trying to sound extremely serious, yet failing miserably. He couldn't help but snicker slightly, leaning forward to kiss Cory again. It probably looked rather bad, the Head Girl and a Prefect snogging on the couch in the Common Room, but it wasn't as if people weren't used to it by then. Cory had attacked him on the Hogwarts Express, pulling him into a compartment for a surprise snog session. No one had seen that one, though. The train had crashed before any straggling wanderers could pass by. It had been extremely fun though. Tucker loved surprise snog sessions, especially when they were as fast and forced as that had been. It was like they were under cover or something. The whole under cover idea seemed to intrigue Tucker, seeing as he had plans to become a Hit Wizard after graduation.
"So...could I convince the Head Girl to make a sneak visit to Hogsmeade with me tonight? Or share a bottle of Ogden's Best in the Prefects Bathroom perhaps?" Tucker asked, trying to sound as suave as possible. Breaking the rules probably wasn't in Cory's greatest interests, but hey, if she decided to live on the wild side that night, Tucker could get lucky, right? Cory in the Prefects Bathroom with him and a bottle of Ogden's was something that Tucker could definitely see in his future. Well, he most definitely wanted to see it in is future. He was "intrigued" to say the least.
Hearing a slight rap on the window, Tucker turned to see whose owl was searching for it's owner. Upon seeing Hoot hovering outside, Tucker quickly jumped from his seat to bring his owl in from the cold, relieving him of his burden. Once free, Hoot rested on the arm of the couch as Tucker sat down and ripped the letter open, reading the feminine, swirly writing.
Dear Tucker,
It's Amber. I know this is unexpected and sort of out of the blue, but I really miss you. I gave your mum this letter so she could mail it to you, since I have no idea where your boarding school is. Ireland isn't it? Hope you're not getting too drunk allt he time! But that's not the point. I really hope your mum didn't read this...
At that, Tucker felt all the blood drain from his face, and stopped reading. He folded it up and made an attempt to hastily shove it away in the envelope without looking suspicious. Of all the times for Hoot to bring him a letter, he had to do it when Cory was sitting right next to him.
