Exalted
I'm kind of curious, have any of you heard much about Exalted? When I moved to D.C., a friend was very heavy-set on it. So far, we've played one game, and it seems to be bad-ass. I just want to know everyone's thoughts on it (or if there are none, I'd be free to answer a few questions).
Re: Exalted
It's a game called Exalted. Basically, its kind of like the Vampire system in a D&D setting. Real quickly, Primordials made creation, etc. and then they made Gods to watch over creation while they played. Gods wanted to play, but they couldn't directly usurp Primordials. So they created Exalts (which "possess" mortals) to do their bidding. Fast forward a few ages, and you are a mortal that just became Exalted.
This game has obvious anime-style roots. In fact, that's actually their point. They want you to do all that cool @#$% that you see / read about. And your characters don't really have to be fighter-based. You can control kingdoms, do the whole Jebus thing, etc. It's more a thing of creativity.
White-wolf's got a website on it, but it's pretty vague: A link nonetheless
If you want, I'd be glad to go into it a little more. I'd actually be impressed if I found something The Safehouse hasn't heard about (impossible, I know).
Re: Exalted
love Exalted, even though I've only actually played it once. I just picked up the Sidereals book this week, which is what I've been really waiting for. now I can't wait to finally try to get some people together and play one of those.
the system is a *bit* clunky (being WoD based), but for the most part is great. lots of cool @#%$ to do, though it's definitely huge on coming up with the most powerful imaginative combos you can.
