Exception to Every Rule...
The Holy Qur'an tells us (Qur'an 3:28) that we should not place preference on unbelievers over believers; meaning that we should not prefer help or seek friendships from among the unbelievers over that of believers. There is an exception, however, which tells us that we can accept them with caution. In other words we must be on our guard to ensure that our faith does not slacken due to contact with unbelievers. On many occasions in the Qur'an we are given a law to abide and oft times given an exception to that rule. Can you give some other examples from the Qur'an where rules and exceptions are given?
