FREAKCIDENTS
Just received this wonderful comment from author James Morrow on FREAKCIDENTS and thought I'd share with everyone:

"Welcome to the barbed brain of Michael Arnzen, where every axon is a steel trap, every dendrite a hidden snare, every synapse a cul de sac, and every myelin sheath an elixir enabling us to find affirmation in ugliness and to smile whenever the dog eats God's homework."

-- James Morrow, Nebula and World Fantasy Award winning author of THE ETERNAL FOOTMAN and THE LAST WITCHFINDER

The FREAKCIDENTS t-shirts really look great! Freaky enough to sport in public at the next trip to the sideshow. Really cool stuff, DVP...Can't wait to get mine! Thanks for being such a class act.

Reviews Are Coming In!
Reviews are coming in for FREAKCIDENTS, which should be out by the end of Feb if all goes well!

GREAT "five star" pre-release review from the esteemed Mikey Huyck, up at feoamante.com:
www.feoamante.com/Stories...akcid.html

Another positive and poetic review from JaNell Golden at gothic.net:
gothic.net/reviews.php?op...ent&id=378

Right on! I'm getting really excited about the release of this puppy.

Re: Reviews Are Coming In!
And everyone else should be excited about it, too. Damn but that's a fine collection. Mike, Gak, and Randy outdid themselves.

Go buybuybuy, kiddies!

The Mutants are Upon Us!

You might enjoy the review of FREAKCIDENTS now up at THE DREAM PEOPLE: www.angelfire.com/zine2/t...eakcidents

If you like FREAKCIDENTS, you might also enjoy the free mini-collection called "Gentle Monsters" at SIDEREALITY on April 6th. SIDEREALITY will include a review of FREAKCIDENTS and an interview about it as part of the "featured poet" material:
www.sidereality.com

And of course, you never know what you might find at my website, GORELETS.COM (such as news about another new book that's out from Tachyon Pubs: DYING!:

update
FREAKCIDENTS:
For those who are curious, Freakcidents may have been delayed a bit, but it should be out soon.

I recommend you subscribe to the DVP group at yahoo or sign up for my own newsletter at www.gorelets.com to be alerted when to when it's available. Or preorder now and save postage costs (here or at shocklines.com)!

GORELETS:
I'm happy to report that my upcoming book from Fairwood Press -- Gorelets: Unpleasant Poetry -- will also be available as in an e-book version with a bonus section of twenty additional poems from Double-Dragon Publishing. Both will be released on Halloween!

DYING:
I'm not dead yet, but my book MICHAEL ARNZEN DYING is available now. While Tachyon Publishing is having troubles with their website, you can order it through my website and I'll send you a >signed< copy. Go to gorelets.com for more info, right on the front page.

HELLNOTES:
I've got a new column in Hellnotes newsletter at www.hellnotes.com -- it's called "Instigation: Twisted Prompts for Sicko Writers" (just like the ones you get in The Goreletter, only WEEKLY).

And, well, that's plenty of news for now. Thanks for reading, folks!

review at sidereality
Almost forgot to mention: There's an OUTSTANDING review of Freakcidents at Sidereality.com. Really good commentary on the horror poetry genre as a whole, reading Freakcidents as a specific example of recent trends. Check it out here:

www.sidereality.com/volum...idents.htm

Thanks to Clayton Couch for such a strong piece of writing.

Re: review at sidereality
"Freakcidents" - the best poetry I ever read!
Grotesque, bizarre, truthful and emotional poems.
They are filled with humor and sandess.
Open your eyes and realise what is hapening out there in the street, or here within your mind, your soul.
Alienation? Despair? Solitude?
Stand in the line and pick the scab.
I DARE YOU.
