June 1st - June 19th
It's almost summer! The last few weeks of school have come, and students will need to study hard for their final exams! Don't let up yet, or your grades won't be what you want them to. Of course, the weather is almost perfect and pristine, in attempts to lure students away from their studies.
Fourth years, Wednesday, Janurary 14
In the front of the class room, Andre stood writing on the board. His hand flew across the surface, making lines where it passed. His expression was completely focused, paying attention only to the things he was writing on the board. The clock ticked behind him, and the sound, along with the noise of chalk on chalkboard, echoed through the room. It was a little bit before his class was to start, and in the next few minutes students would come in.
Watching for the expected arrivals was a great Snowy Owl. Almost everywhere Andre was seen, so was Snow Storm. Some people had said that the owl was the other half of his brain, the one that recognized real life. To Andre, she was just a great friend. She helped him with everything, and yet she could leave whenever she wanted. Snow Storm loved Andre and that was the entire reason she hung around. Andre had always been kind, and had raised her since hatching. She knew she was safe near him, and that kept her close. But right now, her sharp yellow gaze flodded the room.
Students entered, and nodded to the owl. Students had begun to realize that Snow Storm was like the assistant teacher. And most of the students agreed he needed one, just to notice what was really going on around here. Snow Storm waited for all the students to enter before rousing Andre. He was startled for a moment, before looking around the room to see the students. He looked back at the board to see the circut model finished. He looked back at the students and smiled. "I see everyone's survived another holiday! Greetings. It was a homework free break, and I even have your essays over the lightbulbs reaction to a battery versus a continious source of energy to return. I really wish some of you would write me facts, not theories. Although, some theories are, rather were, quite interesting to read." He went over to his desk and smiled. "However, let us get on with the lesson of today. Advanced circutry. Anyone remember something about circutry?" He smiled and looked for any voulenteers.

Holidays had only ended a few short days ago, but it felt as though it had been months already. Jordyn had dragged herself from bed and down to breakfast with more effort than she really wanted to expend, but after eating a bit of porridge she'd been semi-alive. Her revival had only been temporary, however; she'd died out again before lunchtime, about halfway through Charms. Lunch had helped a bit, but she'd spent most of that in the bathroom trying to fix her make up, which she'd put on halfheartedly first thing in the morning. Her hair still looked like it had been slept on, but her face looked a bit better. She might have felt like the living dead by last period, but she didn't completely look like it.
Well, that wasn't true. She looked like the living dead in disguise.
Shaking her head, Jordyn walked past the Muggle Studies classroom before she realized she passed it, and then turned around as soon as she realized her mistake. As a result, she wasn't the first student in the room, but one of the last. Giving Professor Kumocoo's bird a slight nod - it really creeped her out - she slipped into a seat, one of the ones closest to the door. Folding her arms on her desk, Jordyn rested her chin on them and took in the drawing on the board, which looked vaguely familiar; she must have seen something like that in muggle school, or something. She wasn't really sure why she was taking this class, but found it enjoyable none the less. She probably found it enjoyable because it was easy, but that was because she had grown up in a muggle environment. Running a hand through her hair, she sat up as the class began, before she fell asleep.
"I see everyone's survived another holiday! Greetings. It was a homework free break, and I even have your essays over the lightbulbs reaction to a battery versus a continious source of energy to return. I really wish some of you would write me facts, not theories. Although, some theories are, rather were, quite interesting to read."
How interesting could they be? Jordyn nearly rolled her eyes, but instead shrugged as Profesor Kumocoo continued,
"However, let us get on with the lesson of today. Advanced circutry. Anyone remember something about circutry?"
"It involves electricity," Jordyn answered almost lazily, lifting her hand slightly to indicate that she wanted to speak. She wasn't exactly going to wait for the teacher to call on her - considering who it was, she half expected him to forget to call on students, but rather just go off on some muggle-based tangent. She continued before she forgot what she was going to say, which was incredibly likely. Easily distracted was Jordyn. "Which moves in a sort of circle, right?"
Re: Fourth years, Wednesday, Janurary 14
{Since it's us two, I'm going to NPC a few other students.}
Andre was about to loose hope on this group. Most of these students didn't care one way or another. Made his job living hell. Being a teacher wasn't his original plan in life. Originally he wanted to work in the ministry and he did for about 3 years. Then Hogwarts needed a Muggle Studies teacher, and Andre was best to fill those shoes. Now children just destroyed his hopes and dreams.
"It involves electricity," Jordyn answered almost lazily, lifting her hand slightly to indicate that she wanted to speak. "Which moves in a sort of circle, right?"
Smiling Andre nodded. "Good Miss Huntington! Very good indeed! Take 5 points for Gryffindor, although next time please wait to be called on." Andre moved over to the board and circled a battery. Electricity in the form of magnetic energy contained in a cylindric shape would be a battery. This is probably the most key part of our circut. Anyone want to disagree?" Andre loved the students trying to disprove him. One boy raised his hand. "Yes, Mr. Smith?"
"Wouldn't the battery just be partially needed. I mean, you have to have the wires. Those are most key, are they not?"
Andre nodded. They had picked up something. This was good to hear. "I believe you have a point, anyone standing with Mr. Smith? Or does someone have another argument on the matter?" If he could, Andre would get the students to teach themselves or each other. The less he was involved, the more they seemed to remember. Andre waited on another answer as he circled one of the wires on his diagram.

Re: Fourth years, Wednesday, Janurary 14
(Sounds good by me. )
"Good Miss Huntington! Very good indeed! Take 5 points for Gryffindor, although next time please wait to be called on."
Psh. This was an easy class, though the reason it was easy was because Jordyn had been raised with muggles; her parents hadn't really even told her that she was a witch until after she'd gotten her letter to Manitoba School of Magic. Her experiences at MSM had been her first true encounters with magic, even though her mother was practically pureblooded and her father was a wizard, albiet a muggle born one. They had insisted that she at least know about muggles, probably to prevent her from developing the same close minded attitudes that her grandparents had. Whatever; she honestly didn't care either way. That was part of the reason she was taking Muggle Studies, actually; her parents had insisted upon it, though she hadn't argued. At least they hadn't tried to force her to take Arithmancy or Ancient Runes, or something hard like that. Between this and Divination, she had it easy.
Shrugging, she forced her attention back to the class, frowning when she listened to John. Right - the battery wasn't all important, but neither were the wires. She could remember that much from her grade four science class.
"I believe you have a point, anyone standing with Mr. Smith? Or does someone have another argument on the matter?"
Lifting her hand and waiting until she was called upon this time (because she wasn't all too keen on losing points for her House, though she wasn't especially concerned with gaining them either), she shrugged and objected with,
"Neither of them are all important - without the battery, the wires are useless, and if there's no wires, the circuit isn't going to do anything. They are both equally important, in any case." Well, that was her opinion, anyway. There were probably things wrong with what she said, but did Jordyn care? Not particularily. Young Miss Huntington didn't care much about her grades, as long as she didn't fail everything. Failing everything would get her parents (more) mad at her, and she didn't want to have to deal with them.
