GAK-o-lanterns!

I see that shocklines.com -- perhaps the greatest new start up in the horror genre ever -- is selling a unique signed item of GAK's: GAK-o-lanterns! Can't describe it. You just gotta visit shocklines and see them. Way to go, GAK!

It's not bizarre. We love all things GAK. You don't think I woulda got a GAK tattoo if I didn't worship the bit, woulda?

Yeah, I sound silly. But I'm fucking meaning it from the heart. GAK art is my favorite because his work ain't plebeian, common, or status quo. It stands on its own and without comparison. That's truly rare in the visual arts. IMHO.

Mikey: That's so cool to hear about the GAK-tat. I bet it's wonderful. Any photos of it out there on the web, or will I have to wait until the next con to see it. Or...wait...where is this tattoo on your body?

You know, Mike, there is pics on the web somewhere. I think. No...I have 'em on a CD-Rom made at WHC in Seattle. Most of my life is packed right now (just moved to the house I'm going to stay in forever until I'm an old man...never moving again) so I can't get at it. But I will when I can. Unless Gak can send you a copy earlier. I think he has one.

Hey Mike...eventually I plan on having a link on my site with pics of all the tats Ive designed. Thats one of the conditions of giving my art as a tat...I gotta get pics of it to post. The site is being built right now so stay tuned.

My girlfriend and I were both considering getting a matching Dead Cat gak-tat. Haven't quite decided yet - possibly the Dead Cat TV (without the TVs)

tats and shirts

Gak - we'll definately send you pictures. By the way, that Dead Cat t-shirt you gave me at Horrorfind last year has really racked up the frequent flyer miles - I travel alot and it usually goes in my bag as my non-business / workout room clothing...I've gotten several questions about it from fellow hotel guests - I usually just tell them that its a religious following that worships the spirit of the great Dead Cat. I tend not to get anymore questions after that.

Glad you've gotten some use out of the T. You might want to track down a Dead CAt Bigger Than Jesus t-shirt...complete with tour dates of biblical sites on the back...that will really stop the questions!
