Getting some cake to celebrate
A strawberry blond Hufflepuff entered the kitchen with a grin on her face. She had just found out that she was no longer the Hufflepuff reserve seeker and now was the Hufflepuff seeker. The Hufflepuff had already told a lot of her friends the news and now Linda wanted to get some chocolate cake to celebrate.
"Hello," called a voice from the Kitchen entrance. Logan Huff was walking toward Linda while smiling at the bowing elves. "I just heard. Congrats!" he said to Linda.

"Thanks," Linda said with a grin on her face. "I'm so happy I always wanted to be a starter on the qudditch team and now I finally am,"
Re: Getting some cake to celebrate
"Yeah, it's pretty wicked being on the team," said Logan, patting her on the shoulder. "Can't wait until we play Gryffindor. They win so much at everything."

"I can't wait til we play Ravenclaw because my little sister is trying out for that team and it would be cool to win beat her team," Linda said with a grin.
Re: Getting some cake to celebrate
"Really? I like chocolate too, but then, who doesn't?" he said.
Smiling, he said, "I think our little friends heard us." For two elves had just appeared carrying a large cake.

Linda grinned when she saw that two house elves had appeared carrying a large chocolate cake.
"Thank you," Linda said to the two house elves. The strawberry blond then took the chocolate cake from the house elves and put it on a table next to Logan and her. Linda then took a piece of cake and ate some of it.

"Looks good, too," Logan said, looking at the cake. "Mind if I join you?" Logan was still very hungry and did not yet have anything to eat himself.

"I would love if you would join me," The strawberry blond said with a smile. "Eating cake alone wouldn't be as nice as eating cake with a friend,"
Linda had known Logan since she was a first year but until this year she had not realized how cute and sweet he was.
"Why thank you," Logan said. He took a piece of cake just as one of the elves sat down a pitcher of milk and two glasses. " 'S good," said Logan through the cake.

"Of course it's good almost everything the house elves make is good," Linda said with a smile. The strawberry blond then took another piece of the chocolate cake.
"So is Chocolate cake your favorite kind of cake?" Linda asked Logan.
Re: Getting some cake to celebrate
"Yes indeed," said Logan. Taking a sip of milk, he said, "I first discovered I like chocolate when I was three. It was the chocolate milk that got me started."

"I've liked choclate for as long as I can remember. When I was a baby I used to try and eat those chocalates that are heart shaped. The thing is I would try to eat the foil also," Linda told Logan.
Re: Getting some cake to celebrate
"Well, always a good start, I guess," said Logan, grinning. "Though I think you'll do better at trying to take the wrapper off."
He smiled at her as he took another bite of cake. After he washed it down with milk, he said, "So how have you been doing in class?"

"I was a baby at the time so I didn't know I had to do that," Linda said with a grin.
"I've been doing pretty good in my classes. I get mostly As and Bs. I have one C though," The strawberry blond told Logan. "How are you doing in your classes?"
Re: Getting some cake to celebrate
"All right, I guess," replied Logan. "Piling on the work, though, aren't they? I'm kind of not doing as well as I should in Arithmancy. It's pretty hard, to tell you the truth. Harder than I expected, anyway." Logan gave a sort of shrug that said 'whatever.'

"Yeah Arithmancy is really hard," Linda said with a sigh. "I sometimes wish I had not sighed up for that class but I have a C in it so I guess I'm doing alright in it,"
Re: Getting some cake to celebrate
"Yeah," said Logan. "I should have gone with Muggle Studies. My mother's a muggle, so that wouldn't have been too hard for me I imagine. Oh well."

"My dad's a muggle," The strawberry blond told Logan. "And you probably know my mother a witch since she's the Herbology Professor,"
