Getting to know glenn's "girlfriend"
Lycos Music: There’s a huge buzz around the release of your new album. Do you like all of the attention?
Alicia: This is wonderful, I've been working on this for years, and it is great to see it manifest and start happening. The main thing is to take it one day at a time.
Lycos Music: What’s your favorite song off of the new album?
Alicia: Every song is written for a different reason or for a different feeling, I can't say that I have one favorite song.
Lycos Music: Why the name Songs in A minor for the upcoming album?
Alicia: A-Minor is one of my favorite key signatures to play in. 'Troubles' is actually in A-Minor. Plus there is another reason, which is that the "A" is for my name, so this is like having songs in my own key signature.

now see people, not only is she talented and sexy, but the young woman is very "articulate". i read somewhere that she finished highschool at the tender age of 16 and went to Howard University in upstate NY. so, if we're keeping score, 'licia got brains, beauty, and talent ..my gawd, what more does a glenn need in this life?!?

I so agree with her on the Jerry Springer show.
Whoa! She finished school when she was 16?? Dang, she does have brains yo. Unlike coughbrinteycough. Sorry, lil dust here. Angie, we need to dusten up the place. lol!!
Anywho, I wish I was smarty hard like her. Girl works it hard and I admire her for that.

Funny how I never noticed before
but there's beauty in my smooth amber skin

It was foolish to think that pale

was beauty.
My hair is also a wonder--raven black

shiny...
And my dark Spanish/Indian eyes
glossy and clear
a deep mahogany brown,
in dim light they blend in the darkness . . .

against the amber background of my skin
paint a very pretty picture.
