Greatest nuker ever
So, last night after the Mistmoore Raid, Saibok, Platt, Ohlund & I went to Cazic-Thule. We were in search of a little fairy wand for Platt, and of course, the ever-elusive Lizard Crusader. After one unfortunate death, and a fortunate rez, we found a safe spot to camp. I don't know the layout of Cazic well.. why lie? Navigation ain't my thing, baby... I will admit now the only dungeon where I can really feel safe and secure that I know where I am is Blackburrow. Anyways, the point was, if Ohlund or Platt read this, you should write something up for the strategy section on how to get to that spot.. I could probably find it again, but I certainly could not explain it.
So, as you know, Platt was there. After last night, I do see why all the big raids require enchanters. There were no points where we had to fight more then mone lizard. Also, we had our herald nuking for us. Platt had charmed a lizard herald ealier in the evening, and we had this lizard with us... no lie... for about an hour and a half or more. He was a cleric, and was smiting down the other lizards left and right. He cast it at least twice a fight. He was very, very handy. We experimented with giving him different weapons, but finally decided he would do best with a FS Dagger. He was poking for, at one point, 53. Finally, when we were getting ready to leave, we had to "retire" him... but we had decided, at least 45 minutes ago, that he was by far the best pet that we had ever had, and so, we give you our honorary member of Da Hui: A_Lizard_Herald.

For those that are wondering... in the many hours we were there, not a single lizzie crusader popped. I kept casting sense the dead, which will sense the lizzie's pet. Finally, we give up. I am really pissed, because after all the many, many, many hours i personally have spent in there, all the deaths, I can almost never find the stupid mob.. I mean, I have camped in CZ at least 15 hours, and have gotten a lousy 2 pieces of decayed armor, which are the components for Darkforge... decayed right bracer and decayed left legplate (you need one of each side for each piece).. yes, you need 4 frigging decayed bracers. anyways. Saibok gates. We get ready to say good bye, and I cast it one last time... targeted pet! I ran over, and there here was, right in the top of the pyramid! Unfortunately, the whole room had repopped while we were saying goodbye... no way we were gonna get less then 5. So, I snare him, and smam my INC key. Sure enough, we get all 5 of the. Hilariously, the crusader hits me with Harm Touch, despite being about 200 feet away. Anyways, we are taking them down one by one... did i mention how much I love Platt yet? and 2 more wander by. Wondergnome mezzes em both, and finally, just me, saibok, and Ohlund take down 7 of them. I go loot it... and after all that, it did drop a piece of decayed.... the LORE left legplate I already had.
My eyelid twitching, I said goodbye and logged. I will have that armor. I will, I tell you.

That raid was great fun and not just because I wasn't slaughtered for once that day by a train lizard mulching death. Platt's pet was great fun as was my first time in Cazic. What Amazes me is how Ohlunf lugged his fat Barb ass out of their with all his pilfered FS weapons. I kid you not I Was casting strength on him just so her could be mobile. BEWARE NINJA BARBS! Heh...

Actually, its odd... I played Platt for a long time and then retired him while I played my Zaruliz my SK. Each time I grouped with an Enchanter, I picked up things that really worked for me as a tank. Things like slow.. having never actually played a tank that much I didn't realise how much of a difference it really made! Not to mention crowd control (I've always known how that rocks) Man I used to have this system where I could solo a camp of 4 mobs. using charm and lull and mezz I could break the spawn, and then wipe out a camp of blues. Did I mention a slip up would cost me my life, but hey this game would not be so much fun without risk!

of my young carefree life as a druid of 14 when i would charm the griffawns and use them to kill anythin from red spiders to red hounds getting major exp if charm didnt bvreak and major pain if it died till i learned the trick of debuffing pet be fore charm a griffawn with snare couldnt catch i druid with sow

Well I guess I will never charm in CT again... *sniff* I can't believe they made ALL the mobs uncharmable... I mean could you imagine the uproar if for example they made it so that monks and necros and Shadowknights couldn't Feign Death in CT anymore??
I don't understand why they do this... I mean they take away charm because why... because charming one of the mobs would shred the place?? Do they forget what happens when charm breaks?? Maybe its because of Dire charm?? how often does that work anyhow...
I love charm.. I've yet to master it.. but i've recently been reading the chanter discussion groups and discovered i've been making a rather bad mistake. That is assuming that spell upgrades are upgrades! Sometimes a lower level spell is better for certain cases. Level 4 mez is quick, low mana and low resist.. perfect for stopping an incoming ex-pet... and for re-mezzing it. And here i was using the biggest mez (or rather not using it because it casts longer) and you know i never really used root... I figured its a wizard spell.. chanters use mez.. but no, there are many chanters out there using root quite successfully! Going to mess around with the latest root i have... very short cast but short duration.. might be perfect for controlling incomming upset pets to be...
