excuse me I was a real newb on this server and I was treated in horable ways by non-guildies when I was small now I do everything I can to help a little one... and if I saw u were gonna do this I would have to warn them and then when we got to battle grounds not say a word.. Hrmm lets see guy who cons very red to me asks me to duel him tells me he's going to kill me, I still duel him... should I have expected to die? I think so In my mind this is sorta like an idiot walking into a biker club full of large straight males, and loudly proclaiming he is gay, then proceeded to hit on a large guy who's nickname is "Bone Crusher". I feel no pity for idiots. When I was a newbie, I never once begged for buffs from random people I didn't know... To beg for buffs is honorless, so if someone does not treat these people with honor, I have no ill will towards them. I also, am probably one of the best people in this guild about randomly buffing and pling people that I know and don't know, so don't give me that meanie shit I worked hard to get where I am, I didn't beg for hand-outs and I don't like people that do so seriously.

I dont know how you distinguish between begging for buffs and asking for buffs. Is it the repetition, nagging over and over? If so, it looks like this guy just asked once, so was he really begging?
I have asked for buffs many times. I still do it currently. I ask for SoE, SoW, etc on a daily basis. I ask for xlocs, ports, rezes, etc, and many times I dont pay for these things. (I justify not paying in the fact that I rez for free 9 times out of 10 so if I can do it for free, they should be able to do it for free too) Is that begging for buffs? I would say no. Some (Windig) may say yes. :P
Second, I assume the reason the guy accepted your duel was that the young noob thought you were just messing with him, that you were not really going to kill him. In fact, this is what I thought the first time I read it. Also, I assumed, as he probably did, that he would be able to do one point of damage to you (not knowing of course that you had Rune up). Therefore, can you really say he got what was coming to him?
He was duped... plain and simple. Duped for no real reason except for the sheer folly and joy out of making someone look stupid. (And no, I dont believe in the "if he was stupid enough to think I was serious, then he deserves what he got" mentality.) Reminds me of bullies (sp?) on high school campuses around the country. I am not saying that you should have buffed the guy, but wouldn't a simple *no* have sufficed?
Now dont you feel all guilty and stuff! Lol. (Probably not... :P)
Maybe I just feel for this guy because I can be a pretty gulible guy (ask Kapena) and I can see myself having been made a fool of by some player for no real reason when I first started out... or even now for that matter. I just dont see the humor in it. Oh well....

Comming from D2 (where my sole JOY was PKing **both the willing and unwilling** ) Its been a hard adjustment to the Joyful , Joy ...Hugs and Kisses feel of this game. Do I find this funny? YES, roflmao kinda funny. Funny like sitting in a bar and making some stupid gimmicky bet with a dude ( that little do you know you CANT WIN ) you learn a lesson the hard way, get to laugh at your self and have a new trick to play on your buddies. No harm no foul!! You know as funny as this post struck me.....the funniest thing of all is ZUB making a post to reaffrim that he has NO HONOR....now thats funny!!

I think we should have a guild duel. It'd be fun, and I'm sure I'd get schooled quite a few times
Uhm, yeah I PL and buff random people, even give away low level stuff. No he didn't beg, yes he knew fully I was going to kill him. He was willing to trade death for knowledge of what a duel was like, with the payoff being clarity when he spawned again.
My only regret is that he was bound so far away. He didn't C, but he obtained the knowledge and thrill of a duel.

Personaly i do similar things like malch did i do buff people quite often and port usualy for free as long as they dont ask me directly if they do a shout i usualy will help. If they send a tell straight to me on the other hand unless i know them i will refuse them or port them to skyfire if they ask multiple times after i say no.

I would like to start off w/ saying YAY!!! GO GO GO GOOD TEAM!. Ok now that i got that out of the way, I am evil in R/L. I would have done the exact same thing as Mal but i would have used incapasitate 1st so the n00b could run and color stun every time he cast.
As far a buff begging thats the whole reason i made a warrior (chanter buff beggar sendorum).

Hehe, I am very easy to tick off so sometimes a noob will as me (a bard) for sow and I get pissed and tell them..."I'm a bard, bards can't cast selo and have it stick for 20minutes, noob"...I need to work on things more sinister to do...I know I've said this many times, but it still kills me...Good job mal, way to show em =P

Dude that was so messed up. Very Funny but messed up. As much as all u people think I didn't beg or ask for any of my stuff (or was my stuff). I earned it hours and hours in ec chillen with shady. I am somewhat honorable. There was this one time when This ass was just plain to this girl. He was like you have nice stuff ... but I have better and your higher lvl then me. And she was like quiet and he was like you want to duel? And she was like no leave me alone. So at that time I asked the guy to leave her alone. so he dueled me and I asked him if he was sure ( I think I was 1 or 2 lvls lower or higher I don't remember which one). He was like yeh let me inspect first. I'm like no u want to duel me so duel me blindly. So we dueled ...... At his last hps I asked him if he would say sorry and zone. At which point he hid. Well me being competent I knew he was right next to me cause he can't move while hidden so I was like u better just say sorry and zone before I kill you. he said nothing so I was like fine took out my tantors tusk and swung 200+ dmg hahahah basterd desreved it. Bok was there.
