Halfling Mask.
I am really interested in getting this. I know it's a possible 300+ hour camp. Would it be possible to duo it with my 63 cleric and a 55 monk alt? then log on the rogue whenever I need the mask looted? or should I work on getting the monk 60+ first.
You'd prolly never get the monk and cleric down there, unless they are non-KoS.
The mob can be solo'd easily by a 65 rogue that doesn't suck. With a snare weapon.

mask
Don't even need a snare weapon actually. I got tired of switching in DoI so I found that I could just pin him against the wall he popped on to stop him from running.

Re: Halfling Mask.
Its no problem, get sow and levitate on your cleric. Have some invis potions as well. The key to the whole thing is knowing your path. If you know the exact path to take then you wont make wrong turns and get killed by the following train. With that in mind, get sow/levitate, or just get soe. Invis or DA down to the Chardok B entrance, zone in and heal up if you got hurt, hit another invis potion and take the cleric to the named spot. You can invis from Chardok B to the named spot without problems. Now all you have to do is put the cleric up in the safe spot.
Now i didnt have a hard time with my rogue tanking with time gear and slow potions or when i took a shammy down there and just used it to heal/slow. But with a 55 Monk it might be a bit tough. Carefull on enranges at 10%. Try it out, should work and have gate memmed and dont forget to bind the cleric outside chardok zone in. Make sure you attack straight on to push him into the wall so he wont run on low health or have root memmed with cleric.
Crappy graphic i know, but you should get the picture.
Re: Halfling Mask.
Pin the mob (either named or PH) against the wall that he spawns in front of and it won't path, but it will enrage at 9%. Using this technique all you need is a Locuslure to slow.
A decently equipped pure melee can deal with the single mobs without a healing class as back up. But, if you must get one down there, I was able to run a KOS Cleric down the side tunnel using SoE and DA, then was able to /q out with enough of a lead that he survived np. Be sure you have the path to the safe spot down pat before attempting this technique, otherwise it could prove costly.
BTW; I have many, MANY days at this camp and still no mask - it can be very frustrating to do. Be sure this is something you are able and willing to do first.
Overseer Something. Have to look it up on Allakhazam.
My rogue has nearly 6k unbuffed, fairly well geared, minimal defensive AA though. I have a bit of a rough time soloing him. I definately cant do it without using a discipline. Of course, I never bothered with poisons of any kind, so /shrug.
Anyways, unless you got a reliable snare, its prolly best to just grab a friend or something. I was boxing a 65 BL (time geared) and myself (65 rogue time geared) and we had a point where we had to zone into chardok B because of the large amount of mobs that aggrod at one point because of a runner (damn BL pet AA snare didnt go off heh). It's a nice camp though overall. If you bring someone (like a BL, or a shaman) you can get like 4 named (?) or so while you camp the halfling mask.
Since its so rare, I ended up just going down there with my rogue (grab a haste buff and an HP buff from a guildy) whenever i find hes up, and solo him. Wait for respawn, and if its not him again I just leave. Just isnt worth it to camp really =(
Re: Halfling Mask.
i duo'd this about a year ago with first a 60 druid and then a 63 cleric. i was not elementaily geared at the time. with any healer at all he's easy.
others have said that you can pin him so he doesnt run. i had a hard time with this. i must have been doing something wrong. i found it much easier to just keep him snared / rooted and not take the chance. i mean if he starts running at all adds will come before you can land the root most times.
although with the new damage discs i'm sure it's even easier. to give you an idea on the time i spent though, dal'guur, the named is about a 1/5 spawn. and i killed him 63 times before getting the mask.

Re: Halfling Mask.
Why is it so hard to just fight down? Ive been there quite a few times and if I recall right if I went down there with my druid most of the mobs were green till you get down there and then they are dark blue. Would I just get swarmed I dont recall that many mobs on the way?
Re: Halfling Mask.
The hard thing about fighting down is that when you are down there, the respawn is fast, like 13 mins. Depending on your group make up, without a mezzer youre going to have some problems.
When I solod him and i mean SOLO like no other toons but me. I made sure i was fully buffed, with slow potion and used my discs and sometimes I still died. I have over 6k hps unbuffed and about 8400 hps fully buffed and if you have less than this you will have a hard time just soloing it. Now if you had a backup healer, than it would be no problem.

Re: Halfling Mask.
So if all im doing is just killing my way down there with a druid in tow I should be able to get down there with just him and I right? The only place I can think of where id get multiple is the building before the bridge with the casters but there all green. So im thinking I could just simply kill all those jump off the bridge and just kill as I went to the overseer. At the point the only thing id do is just kill the overseer and stay put. Is this not doable? I guess if I needed to I could get a friend or two and get me down there but would prefer to do it alone with my 2 boxed druid. Has anyone tried this?

Get the druid to non-kos faction and simply run down. Log the druid out when the mob turns to flee, but before you actually kill the overseer/ph with your rogue and you won't have to worry about losing that faction and the ability to just waltz in and camp it for an hour or two when you get the chance.
Camping this atm, and the best idea is to just kill it right where it spawns.

Re: Halfling Mask.
I'm under 6k hp unbuffed, and I can solo him with clicky haste and shield from stanos BP... have only come close one time I forgot to click the haste item before engage.. but carry poison on you if the fight goes south you can pop nimble and apply poison before nimble drops.. and slow/snare him to give you some edge.. but most fights i dont even have to use slow, sometimes use duelist to make fight go faster as it'll be close to up when he respawns anyways... YMMV

If im not mistaken, this was probably pre-disc change. Pre-disc change, i required Virtue + self buffs to solo the mob, and it would be a close fight. I'd have maybe 5-15% hp left if i managed to kill the named. Easily 15-20% of the time i'd have to escape or die and have to try again. This was w/ full offensive, defensive, hp AAs, DoD/Ifir, 71% haste, 8pt DS, 200+ worn attack, and probably around 7.5-8khp.
Then came the disc change.
Now, thanks to chain discs and a 30 second duelist of madness, the camp became trivial. After the change i no longer needed any buffs (only did haste, but wasn't required), and would kill the named everytime w/ 20-40% hp remaining.
Duelist, Deadeye, then Nimble when he enrages...so good ~
...and it will all be back for the next PH!
