Harry Potter: OoTP
I just finished a 870 page book in 3 days!!! That is a record for me!!!! Anyways the book is great I recommend it to anyone. It has lots of curse words and it is alot more morature then the others. I will just tell you the death is horribly sad!!! So who plans to read??? I can't wait for the sixth already lol

Re: Harry Potter: OoTP
Well I'm waiting for my friend to finish reading the book so I can borrow it from her. I also agree with you on it being good from what I heard so far.

Anyways, Kudos on finishing that in three days.

I finally put some type of fiction up. That's Against the Will, in the general forum. Chapters 1-4 are available to read. So go there and read them.

Re: Harry Potter: OoTP
Heh. I finished it in under 5 hours. And I had gotten it around Midnight Opening Night.. XD

But Im very disappointed. For one, the death. And I won't spoil it for ya.. But they were my favorite character.. ;-;

JK could have done a much better time working on it, given she had over 3 years.. =/

For example, in the ... 3rd to last? i think it was, chapter, it was really rushed and very confusing. That could have been clearer.

Rowling's trying to keep her younger audience, so she's making everything very tame, which you can't do given the situation. Also, I know many people here are around the age of Harry right now, 15. Well, i don't know if its just the fact that I hang around/know many sick, twistedminded children, or whatever, but you'd think with 5 guys in a dorm for a year, they would atleast talk about the hottest girl at hogwarts once..

And maybe its just the whole Im-a-wizard-and-voldermorts-after-me-i-don't-have-time-for-sexual-feelings/interests-etc-so-screw-it, but iunno. She seemed to try to be teenage-like with all the complaining and brattyness, but really, teens aren't like that. Maybe British ones are, though, and I just have an overly American view? XD

da BUUK?
yes, I just finished it bout a half an hour ago. it was pretty good, but I would recommend reading the fourth book a second time, seeing as I was left it the dark at some parts, wondering who the heck some people were.

I thought that --- dying was sad, bacause she/he was one of my favorite characters.

I also thought that it was kind of strange that Harry lost his temper so much. practically every other page was him screaming his head of at everyone in the general vacinity. That didn't happen in all of the others, did it?

...I'm also disappointed because my least favorite character, ----- DIDN'T DIE!!!

Whatever. Anyway, I thought that this was good, even though my former favorite characted turned into my least favorite character, and one of my favorites died, and it took so long to come out that I read all of Redwall (which was good) Artimis Fowl (which I read because I was bored, and it turned out to be DUMB) and His Dark Matiels (Which ROCKED!!) while waiting for it.

So, it's no wonder I'm dreading the 3rd movie. I bet it'll make a mockery of my all-time favorite book.

Re: Yes, Da BUUK
Chainy, what in the world made you think ess-cookie didn't finish Artemis Fowl?

NEway, I finished the fifth book in about a day. I, too, had the person who died on my favorite characters list.....As for what TMTH said, perhaps Rowling just doesn't know how a guy's mind works, did you ever stop and think of that?

But I liked the book, anyway. It may not have been as good as some of the others, but it was still an excellent book.

Re: Yes, Da BUUK
Well, Ess-Cookie and I are best buddies, and during this school year, she picked up Artimes Fowl and started reading it, even though she said it was stupid, and we'd both had other sources that told us that it wasn't the best book. BUt she read it anyway, and i'm quite surprised she finished it.

eh, "guy power" just doesn't have a ring to it...

anyhow, i finished in a day and it was ok. JK works for a year to bring a pretty short lived book. however, there were some pretty good new characters (Tonks) ;)

Re: Yes, Da BUUK
Ah...yes...OotP...one of the saddest books I've ever read only because one of my three fav. characters, ----------, died! WHY?!?!? THEY WERE SO AWESOME AND THEY HAD TO DIE?!?! HOW CRUEL IS THAT!?!? *takes deep breath* Ok...I'm ok now...

Anyways, I thought that the reason Harry was losing his temper so much was because after the Tri-Wizard tournament events, knowing that Voldie is back, and being left in the dark about certian matters, as well as having to deal with Umbridge and her cronies, finally took a toll on him and everything he held inside for 5 years finally tumbled out. That, and hormones will work into it. I mean, what do you expect from an overly-stressed 15 year old who has a Dark Lord after his life?

Anyways, I liked Fred and George immensely in this one. Luna and Tonks were, cool, too, and there were many funny parts in it. *hem hem* Uh-oh...I hear Umbridge *clip clop*...Oh, there she goes! No worries!!

All in all....9/10. It would've been 10/10 if ---------- hadn't died.

~Jade, who is sad that they died, even though she finished the book over a month ago...

You mean you can put something worthwhile down here? Interesting...

ugh...
*slaps Jade*

Jade, you're CRAZY. It wasn't all that sad. I mean, even though ------- was one of my favorite characters, I didn't think it was that sad. I actually wanted ----- to die. He was DUMB, and she added him in the book, but he didn't do anything.

I just hope the next book doesn't take as long as this one did. I mean, 2 1/2 years or so? Nah. I almost didn't wanna read it, I was so sick of waiting.
