He fell on Ill Omen
Luclin shined down upon the face of Aliane as he lay upon his back peering up to face the harsh reality that his time on Norrath had passed so long ago. Still on the banks of this dark lake his spirit lay waiting for the time of destruction to come forth. He had spoken one last time with his mentor, the great plague dragon Trakanon, in his last days of life and assured by the fallen crystalline dragon that one day he would return to Norrath again.
The mourners gathered around his grave, this was the final acceptance that the lost child of knowledge had passed on to travel a new existence, a new world, until his time came to return to the place he loved so dearly.
Though bouts with Innoruk had torn his soul to pieces and insanity sometimes crept too close to the boy's mind to keep him stable, those few who mourned threw white roses upon the gravestone.
It had all began in Qeynos, born to the traveling scourge. Aliane had grown in Neriak, learning the ways of the Tier'dal, it was a most disgusting sight to many, but still the child grew, still he followed the path that his lord of Hatred had given him until he would fight and hope to kill her, Tunare!
But she would not hurt such a lost and innocent soul. Tunare touched the young wizard's cheek and he was healed of tripe and crass anger. Qeynos, where he awoke to a new life, would lead him toward his ultimate destiny.
The shadows of Luclin covered him as he struggled through the deserts, searching for answers from the Combine. Answers he found with consequence that would be his undoing.
Studying for years on end he traveled home to Kunark, be it the ruined continent or Qeynos, he did not know a home. His tranquil place, the dark lake of Ill Omen, reminded him much of the Commons lake, where he sat with his lover of ages past, halfling rogue he had saved from Crushbone.
He remembered her face and gentle touch, and how she was struck down as well. But he did go on, for a meaning to his life. Trakanon aided his smile, healing wounds and giving back the young wizard's thirst for knowledge.
He traveled the world and here he rest on Ill Omen, waiting for the day his soul would return anew to Qeynos.
