Snare poison, or the snare/slow poison if your skill is high enough.
If you can get her snared you'll be in business, otherwise it's gonna be a jousting match. Bring along some of the shaman insta-dispell potions (i think they are self only now), but that will help if she gets you snared/dot'd. With Deadeye lasting 30 seconds now, snare is huge. If you get her snared, you'll be able to get quite a bit of dmg in on her, unless she ssteps.
Just keep the snare/dots off of you and try to get DR high enough that spears don't land for full and you'll have a fighting chance.

The SK should school you. They are the second best duelling class, you are among the worst, and you are at a level disadvantage.
I have limited experience with your classes and levels but I would suggest you focus on massive Disease and Magic resists, HP regeneration, and to use lots of Crystallized Pumice or Golem Wands to dispell the hell out of him and dispell off some of his dots. Cure Poison and Disease potions would help too.
Don't get low on life. If you get to 80% life run away and regenerate. Harm Touch dominates duels.
Jousting favors him. With Backstab you are the better jouster offensively via melee but with his spells, armor, HP and Harm Touch he has a huge advantage. Try to stick close to him so dual wield kicks in, assuming he doesn't have or you can dispell his damage shield.

-Don't forget to ignore the pet (same applies to all pet classes). If the pet bugs you too much -- run away, regroup, attack the master. It is rather pointless to fight a pet since most will be able to summon another one before you get a chance to get to the master.
-Spirit of Sloth might win it for you if her poison resists are low. Blind (at least tier III) has a much lower chance of sticking than SoS. If you want a chance against SK, it has to be a quick kill, so if you're reapplying poison its not a good sign, unless you ran away and are regenerating half a zone away.
-If you are not an expert jouster stick to her. From range she will get you with spells and her pet might actually prove useful for her.
-If by now you are at 59, make a "fake duelist" button and see if she runs away at the message. If she doesn't -- pop it off on her and go for the kill, if she does -- keep tricking her until she gets tired of it and decides to stay put.

Get yourself an Obtenebrate shortsword, if you dont already have one. procs dooming darkness and usually sells pretty cheap. offhand it and hopefully it'll proc early so you can switch it out (not the hottest dmg weapon at 11/24). apply a dot poison and if it all works out you'll have her in one spot taking constant damage good luck...you're gonna need it bro.

Ive always thought SKs were the best duelers. They have HT, dmg shields, snare, etc...
Anyway, who is the best dueling class that you are talking about?

Bards were nerfed in pvp so hard they arent even top 5 one on one pvp class anymore. Hell I doubt top 10.

hmm interesting.. What were they like before the nerf and what happened after? Always thought bards were pansies just running around with their songs and kite with their 6 dmg DOT haha.

accually DT SKs are the best duelers followed closely by wizards and necros.
Sks without DT arent as much of a threat esp at level 59 which is pathetic. he can HT for around 1k at best.
If you were a wizard at the same level you could easily defeat a SK. wizards dominate because of their extreme damage spells. if you can find his weakness the SK will be dead before the wizard. esp with stun lure. that doesnt really help you though since your a rogue.
i dont know what to tell you. use everything you got and blitz him. dont give him time to use all his spears on you. blitz him and hit him with everything you got. if you dont finish the fight quickly he will bring out his chain taps and dots and all other sorts of nastiness.

Ok, its been awhile refresh my memory please.
DT = death touch right?
From what I remember, I dont recall SK's getting DT.
If you ask me whos the best dueler, Id have to say SK.
I still remember a sk friend dueling in an arena. There were lots of people around and stuff. Then there came a 65 BL with epic, if that matters. Sk friend used the 8k HT on BL and instantly killed him from full health. Not sure if he was buffed or not. But a 8k HT would own most people in duels because when dueling they dont usually start out with a HT right away like the NPCs do. The only down thing about HT is that it is short ranged. So if a SK uses HT while the target is out of range, there goes his HT i think.
We're talking about a L59 and L57, so this is out of the topic. Was just referring to the post above.

Bards cant land dots on anyone now. Lvl 65 bards cant land dots on lvl 50 something char with 75 in resists. So their dps was reduced by like 3/4th if you think it took them a long time to kill you before just try it now. Of all the things bards might have been overpowered in for pvp it sure as hell wasnt their dps.

I think bards still do pretty good when dueling against melees like rogue or warrior. It was a long time ago when I dueled a bard, he had his dmg shields jacked up and all I did was tearing myself up attacking him. Got a few BS in which hurted him quite a bit but still had no chance due to his dmg shields.

Think outside the box and only dmg him with backstab. It will take a bit longer but tear him a new one.
*Edit* Almost anyone can beat warrior in pvp if the war has no backup.

When I wrote that I felt Bards were the best duellers.
Have Wizards become good in duels? We sucked ass in duels when I played. Heals beat nukes, Warrior HP outlasted nukes, arrows outranged nukes, Bards could zip in, do a pansy attack song, and zip out before nukes landed, or send charmed pets all day long...
Wizards have a Lure Stun now? Cool.
"Death Touch" means an SK with maxxed out AAs. It's not a true DT like mobs get, it's a 7k+ unresistable HT. When there was no 75% cap on max damage one could take, SKs could literally just HT people to death from full life. Now DT only kills when the target's at 75% or below...still way overpowered.
