Hey Guys long time no see
I just thought I drop by and see whos still playing? I havent played EQ or EQ2 for so long. Did play WoW for awhile but got bored with it. Am playing around with eve-online atm just seeing what its like. So I hear EQ2 has chnaged quite a bit. So are those changes for good or bad? Also how is every one?

Hey Tetra! How you doing?

Yep, EQ2 has changed quite a bit. I think the changes are mostly for the good -- it's a completely different game from when it was released. You start as your final subclass now; there's been a complete class rebalancing and combat revamp; the tutorial island has been completely redone as have most of the newbie zones; even crafting has changed.

The level cap is now 70 (was 50 on release) and the next expansion, Echoes of Faydwer, is due out probably around Christmas this year. It'll introduce a new playable race, the fae, and a new starting city, Kelethin, as well as new content for all levels 1-70.

Me and Sanei/Tallonar have started playing on Najena lately, which is the unofficial Aussie server. Jemeryl is lurking with us also. Most of the rest of folks are still over on AB, but most everybody is still having fun, Mhati and Belfie even came back again. :)

As you can see these boards aren't being used that much any more, but the downunder channel on AB is still active and you'll find folks in there. You should come give it another try! There's a free trial too now -- http://www.trialoftheisle.com -- if you'd like to just come see how it feels now. :)
