Hey Sara.
What would your dream set-up be? How many drums, and cymbals, and how would they be placed? Would there be any misc. percussion, like bongos, congas, or triggers, pads, or electrics of any kind?
(Please don't respond by saying that you're not a drummer, because you are, and you're a pretty damn good one for as long as you've played. Better than me when I was that far along. (Oh, and I'm saying this in my forum, for others to see, so clearly I'm not lying or anything.))

Your basic 5-piece [bass, snare, 2 toms, floor tom] is a good starting point, but it depends on your personal feelings.
I, myself, could go with Mike Portnoy's Siamese Monster.. except like 5 time bigger, with multiple electric sets surrouding it, but that's just me.
If you like the snare, which I certainly do, then you can add another one, called a piccolo, like I did. If you like the top-end toms, then I'd go with smaller toms, 9"x10"..etc.., if you like lower toms, but not low floor toms, I'd go with 12"x14"..etc.., if you like floor toms, I'd go with 16"x18"..etc.. You seem like a tom kinda person, so it seems like you'd enjoy a 6-piece (including a higher pitched tom) with a double pedal. You gotta learn double bass. [Don't get mad that your feet don't listen to you, they will learn, then you will be the master of double bass.]
