Well, its the weekend here at MHS. Wouldn't it be great if all schools started on a Friday for the first day of school. What a way to start off. You get a weekend right after your first day. Well, this is because we are done with the first day of class. How so you ask. As you only went to one class. yes, but I am sure that doing the same thing for each class would get boring. So the one class you experienced is basically how all the classes are going to be.
Teacher posts role. Day gets started, end of class happens, everyone goes to their next class, or home..
Well, ezboard still hasn't confirmed anything on a final date when everything is changed over to Yuku. And we are working on what to do next. We all want user friendliness after everything is changed away from Ezbaord, and we are trying everything we can to ensure that we have just that when we are at a new board hosting site.
We have a guest book. Take a look. If you haven't taken a look yet, be sure and do so. ^_^

High Level Training (open)
Datu just got back from lunch, and was in his dorm room changing into his gym clothes. Datu planned to go to the gym whenever he had free time. After he got on his gym clothes, as soon as he got outside, he sprinted to the gym, which happened to be almost on the other side of the school.
When Datu got there, he took a few breaths, and then immediately dropped down to the ground. Pushups come first! he thought. He then began doing pushups, and was going quite fast. If I can't make it to 400, then I'll do 300 pullups! he thought. One of his main priorities were to train his arms, for he uses his arms a lot to generate wind.
"One, two, three, four, five....."
Datu was quite used to the intensity of this kind of training, since he did manual labor back at home, and had to keep his body in good shape in order to do so. He smiled at this memory, and then continued his pushups.
Knives yawned as he stepped through the doors into the gym, scratching his head slightly. His deep blue eyes glanced around through half-lidded eyes; he'd just woken up, even though it was midday - this was his usual routine - and had decided to come to the gym this "morning." After all, he'd slacked on his workouts over the past few days, and felt that it was necessary to work harder today.
Suddenly, his sensitive German Sheppard ears heard the sounds of another student counting, across the gym. He blinked and looked over in that direction slowly, groggily, to see someone else. With a shrug, he approached Datu; training was more fun in groups. Once he came upon the other boy, he gave him a large, friendly smile, showing that his canines were long and sharp, like fangs.
"Hey, what's up? Workin hard, I see," Knives said with a laugh, as he scratched the back of his head - one of his signature actions.

Re: High Level Training (open)
Datu was already past 100 when he suddenly heard the doors open. Must be another student he thought. He then looked up to see a dog-like person smiling at him, showing off his long, sharp teeth.
"Hey, what's up? Workin hard, I see," he said with a laugh as he scratched the back of his head.
From the looks of it, his type was a German Shepherd.
"Yeah, it's my routine."
He's glad there was some company, because he was eager to make new friends in this school.
"You come here often?"
"Its crabz, you already know what it is, 25th and Broadway, to the death of me! I go by the name of GANGSTA CRIZZAB!"
Re: High Level Training (open)
He laughed a little. "A hundred pushups, huh?" He shrugged and scratched his head, before looking around him. There were tons of other ways to train; weights everywhere, punching bags, treadmills and whatnot....His ears twitched as he returned his eyes to Datu. "Couldn't you do that in your dorm? I mean...." He shrugged, "There's other stuff to do here..."
"You come here often?" Another laugh escaped him, and he shrugged. Knives was too lazy to come here...well, "often," but...he could be found in the gym sometimes. After all, training was important to him, and he felt the need to keep up with it when possible. It was especially necessary here, at Manga High School, where he was often attacked - not just by other people and monsters, but by meta humans, with powers sometimes greater than his.
He shook his head in response to Datu's question, and gave him a sheepish smile, complimenting the look that was shown as he scratched his head. "Nope, not often....but sometimes, I do. I should be here often, I'm just lazy." He gave another shrug. "Why, do you?"

Knives laughed a little bit.
"A hundred pushups, huh?"
He shrugged and then scratched his head. Looks like he doesn't think of it as much... Datu thought. Knives then looked around him. He then looked back at Datu.
"Couldn't you do that in your dorm? I mean.....There's other stuff to do here...."
Datu continued doing his pushups.
"I could do those later. And it's not a hundred, it's four hundred."
"You come here often?"
Knives laughed yet again, and then shrugged.
"Nope, not often....but sometimes, I do. I should be here often, I'm just lazy. Why, do you?"
Datu just got to 130 when he asked this. Knives sure has a wierd personality. But he wanted to be polite.
"Heh, I'm new to the school, so this is my first time coming to the gym. Better than the ones back home, I can tell you that..."
Still doing the pushups, he reached one hand for his Gatorade and drank out of it, then started doing pushups again.
"Hey, grandpa, wanna go to the zoo?" "The zoo? F*** that! What, are you gay???" "Mom, grandpa called me gay!" "Don't tell on me, b*****!"

Re: High Level Training (open)
Knives blinked. "400? Wow, that's....a lot." He laughed a bit, scratching his head. The dog boy might could do that many (in fact, he was pretty sure of himself), but he was far too lazy to ever try. Not only was that a lot of work, but it was very tedious, and he would likely get bored in the middle of it. In his opinion, the best workouts were heavy weights at low reps, so that the workout had variety, and didn't get boring. Well, that and any training he did with his sword - that was fun no matter what. He laughed a little. "Dedicated, I see. I'm too lazy for that...." He shrugged. "I'm kinda surprised I'm still in shape."
"Heh, I'm new to the school, so this is my first time coming to the gym. Better than the ones back home, I can tell you that..." Knives nodded. He had to agree. As his eyes wandered around the gym, he noted that it was, in fact, the roomiest gym he'd ever seen. Yet, not only was it very spacious, but the large area was full of many things to do when working out; no matter how one liked to train, it would seem that they could do it to their heart's content in this place. He smiled at Datu. "Yea, this place is better than any gym I've ever seen."
"Oh, by the way, name's Knives." He gave Datu a big, friendly smile. One of his hands began to extend for a handshake, before Knives realized that someone doing pushups can't shake hands at that moment.
He stretched, and looked around. His eyes settled on the weights; they were what he usually did to work out, but he was a little restless today. Simple weight lifting seemed....boring, old, and redundant. So, he smirked. Maybe this kid would provide a good spar? But first, Knives would guage him, see what he had to offer.
"So...what are your powers?" His first question, the first question everyone seemed to ask strangers at this school.

"400? Wow, that's....a lot."
Knives blinked in surprise. It was just a routine for Datu, though. He's done it before back at home, he could probably do it again. He's heard a lot of people say that back at home, too, so it didn't bother him.
"Dedicated, I see. I'm too lazy for that...." He shrugged. "I'm kinda surprised I'm still in shape."
Datu laughed at that. A lazy dog, huh? he thought. He just couldn't help it.
"Heh, I'm new to the school, so this is my first time coming to the gym. Better than the ones back home, I can tell you that..."
Knives nodded in response. He then looked around the gym again, this time to admire it than to look at the tools. He looked back and smiled at Datu.
"Yea, this place is better than any gym I've ever seen. Oh, by the way, name's Knives."
He then extended one of his arms for a handshake, even though he knew that Datu was still doing pushups. Datu then raised one arm, while continuing pushups with the other arm, and shook his hand.
"Datu."
He then put down both his arms and continued doing two-handed pushups. Knives stretched his arms and looked around. Datu was around 350 when Knives asked him an interesting question.
"So...what are your powers?"
Datu stopped doing his pushups, deciding he'll do it later. He then showed it in a demonstration. He picked up his empty Gatorade bottle and threw it in the air. He used his wind to slice it directly in half, and then used it again to blow it back towards him, and caught it in his hands.
"Wind is my power."
"Hey, grandpa, wanna go to the zoo?" "The zoo? F*** that! What, are you gay???" "Mom, grandpa called me gay!" "Don't tell on me, b*****!"

OOC: just one hint. Uhhm, I know my posts have been crap and it seems I don't have the right to tell anyone how to post, but it's just cause I'm being lazy, and also because I've dumbed down my posts to please others here. I'm just going to give you the advice hellsy gave me: you don't have to re-describe what's already been said. Imagine it like a story, where you're picking up where I left off....just refer to the action, rather than explaining it over again. Sometimes you have to quote from the post above you during dialogue, just so that the other person knows what your char is answering or responding to, I know. But lines that actually explain what I just said "Knives nodded in response. He then looked around the gym again, this time to admire it than to look at the tools. He looked back and smiled at Datu." It's unnecessary. I'm not ridiculing you, or criticizing you, and you don't have to take my advice. It's not a big deal, just something I thought I should point out, as others have pointed out to me ^.^ Not saying you're a bad rp'er either, just giving you advice on how to improve. I don't mean this to be offensive at all!
IC:
Knives laughed as Datu shook his hand. It didn't surprise him that the other boy was capable of doing it; no, even Knives could have done that. Rather, he thought it was funny that he actually did it. It was, after all, unneccessary: the dog boy sort of had a feeling that Datu liked to show off. And it didn't bother him at all, he'd been around people like that all of his life; Knives simply didn't care to show off unless necessary.
"Datu, huh?" He thought a moment, tilting his head to the side and twitching his ears curiously. "Never heard that one. Then again....you've prolly never heard of a boy named Knives, huh?" He laughed. His own name was rather strange to most, even if it was normal for his dad's race.
As he watched Datu's powers, he looked a bit amazed. Controlling the wind? That seemed quite useful, and even pretty powerful. He laughed a little, and scratched his head, giving Datu a sheepish smile. These were cool abilities, and would be quite useful in battle; but Knives wouldn't choose them over his own attributes. "Awesome! You can even cut stuff?" He smiled. "I bet that's really useful, huh?"
He tilted his head to the side, and smirked. "Does it help in battle?"

Re: High Level Training (open)
ooc: yeah sure
Datu laughed.
"Never heard of a name like Knives, either."
After showing Knives his powers, Datu looked back at him to see that he was a bit amazed. He was happy that other people acknowledged him.
"Yeah, it helps a lot in battle. I haven't used its powers to the fullest yet, unless I wanna end up in the hospital."
Datu then got back down and was finishing up his pushups. He could probably tell Knives' power. Probably something animal-like, or abnormal strength.
"Hey, grandpa, wanna go to the zoo?" "The zoo? F*** that! What, are you gay???" "Mom, grandpa called me gay!" "Don't tell on me, b*****!"

Re: High Level Training (open)
Knives blinked, and tilted his head to the side. Hospital? Knives thought about that comment a moment, not really understanding. After all, it was simple wind power. How exactly could one damage themselves physically, just by controlling the wind? He scratched his head a bit, and decided the only way he could find out was ask. "The hospital? How's your power supposed to hurt you?"
He watched as Datu continued his training. As he did so, the dog boy was still scratching his head. Datu seemed not to care about Knives's powers; though that might make a spar easier. Knives decided to let the other boy finish what he was doing first, though. He took a step back, and leaned his weight back, placing his hands on a weight rack behind him and resting his weight on them.
It shouldn't be too long until Datu finished, right? After all, he was already on 350...

Re: High Level Training (open)
After Datu finished, he took a seat. Looks like he doesn't know much about how his powers came to be, he thought. But he was too tired to tell it all. After all, he just did 400 pushups. He answered Knives' question in one simple answer.
"If I strain myself to do more than what I am capable of right now, then there's a high chance that I'll break my arms, probably even more than that."
He then left it at that, but was still kind of curious what Knives' powers are. He stood up, and got a water bottle from his jacket, and then went back to his seat. He popped open his water bottle, and started drinking from it.
"So, what's your power? Even though your looks give a hint of it.."
He gestured to his doglike face. Strong sense of smell, sharp nails, abnormal strength....all he could tell from just looking.
"Hey, grandpa, wanna go to the zoo?" "The zoo? F*** that! What, are you gay???" "Mom, grandpa called me gay!" "Don't tell on me, b*****!"

"If I strain myself to do more than what I am capable of right now, then there's a high chance that I'll break my arms, probably even more than that." Knives blinked, and tilted his head to the side. That still didn't really explain it....what was the connection between the wind, and breaking his arms? His eyes still carried a bit of a confused look, but even so, he didn't push it. After all, it wasn't the most important of subjects....Knives understood that, by using his power, Datu would be injured - that was all he needed to know.
"So, what's your power? Even though your looks give a hint of it.." He laughed, and shrugged. It was true, his special attributes were rather obvoius; but his actual "power" wasn't one of those attributes. "Well, yeah, I'm sure you can tell about my smell and hearing..." He touched his nose and ears as he said that, "but those aren't actual 'powers.' Just special things about me."
He raised one hand, and focused on it, his eyes staring intently down at his fingers. A small blue light began to glow at each of his fingertips, then it engulfed his fingernails. Each nail grew and sharpened, turning into a full set of claws. He smirked at Datu. "All I can really do is use weapons like this." He shrugged. "But so far, that's been enough....especially when my senses compliment that and give me insane reaction time." He smiled.
He noticed that Datu was finished now. With a smirk, he walked over to stand over the boy. "Wanna test out our powers?" He tilted his head a bit. "I mean, once you've rested up a bit...."

Re: High Level Training (open)
Datu saw that Knives didn't know that he creates wind power through movement of his body. So then he just left it at that and drank some more of his water.
"So, what's your power? Even though your looks give a hint of it.."
"Well, yeah, I'm sure you can tell about my smell and hearing...But those aren't actual 'powers.' Just special things about me."
After demonstrating his power, Datu looked impressed. Well, we have a wolverine in the school, he thought. He knew his power was going to be something like that, due to his looks. If that's the case, he's probably perfected his close combat fighting, Datu thought. He drank some more of his water.
"All I can really do is use weapons like this." He shrugged. "But so far, that's been enough....especially when my senses compliment that and give me insane reaction time."
"Heh....well, I gotta say, I'm impressed. Your power certainly stands up with your looks"
Datu chuckled at that. He then took another drink from his water bottle.
"Wanna test out our powers? I mean, once you've rested up a bit...."
Datu, readier than ever, got up. He should be excited, since this was going to be his first sparring match. In fact, he's never fought someone with powers before. Back at home, he only fought off thugs and bullies. That was fun and all, but fighting someone of equal strength...
"Readier than ever. But I don't think we should do it here, seeing that we'll make a mess..."
He looked around the gym, and all its nice furniture. It would be a shame to mess up such a nicely made gym. He turned back to Knives.
"Where at?"
"Hey, grandpa, wanna go to the zoo?" "The zoo? F*** that! What, are you gay???" "Mom, grandpa called me gay!" "Don't tell on me, b*****!"
-Nick Swardson
Re: High Level Training (open)"Readier than ever. But I don't think we should do it here, seeing that we'll make a mess..." Knives gave a quick laugh, and scratched his head again, just like the many times before. He looked around the gym, until his eyes settled upon an open area; it was the section of the gym where spars usually took place.
"Well, we don't have to go anywhere else. After all, I have fought others in here a couple of times. It's pretty durable." He laughed again. His mind wandered back to the other battles, such as the one with Evan. They hadn't actually kept to the "sparring" area of the gym; but even so, the place wasn't destroyed, so it was obviously safe. He gave Datu a shrug. "But, then again, if you wanna go somewhere else...there's the roof, the meadow, clearings in the forest...We could spar just about anywhere safely." He smiled and nodded.
He lifted both hands and placed them on the back of his head, giving him a very content look. And so, he waited for Datu's response.

Datu looked around the gym. He doesn't want to wait for the battle, so he decided that it'll be here. He looked at the time, and didn't want to waste any of it. Besides, he had to get to his other exercises.
"Heh, I don't think I want to walk....I guess we could do it here.
