House Spider
Hey everyone -- Mike Arnzen, Kurt's biggest shameless weirdest promoter here -- letting you know that his collection, HOUSE SPIDER, is being released as we speak from Delirium Books. And you know what? There's a free sample online that a lot of people don't know about. The title story can be found here: www.deliriumbooks.com/stories/spider.htm
And what a great story it is! It'll stick with you. Like cobwebbing.
Back to your regularly schedged program.

THE HOUSE SPIDER crawls into a bookstore near you...
Thanks Mike. For those not familiar with THE HOUSE SPIDER (and there could only be 50 of you at most!), it was my first collection, the first hardcover published by Delirium Books back in 1999, in a signed limited edition of only 50 copies. Needless to say, it's extremely hard to find. But now there's a trade paperback edition with new cover art (by none other than Alan M. Clark) and rewrites and revisions of nearly all ten of the stories contained in the original. So, it may not be as hard on the outside, but it's better, cheaper, more colorful, and I'll be damned if it ain't worth every penny. This is a kinder, gentler Kurt trying his best to tackle those huge questions in life such as: Who am I? What am I doing here? How the hell did I get this dog crap on my sneaker? (Wait--I forgot to include that one in the collection. Oh, well, next time.) Contains three original stories found no where else. Here's a link to a review that was published a couple years back in MindMares Magazine:
Spiders?
Ew, I hate those pesky house spiders. But, supposedly, if you kill them, they bring rain. Great, like I need that kind of pressure. Actually, my lawn could use some rain, maybe I should go stomp on the suckers.
